Why is it necessary to approach God through Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Approaching God without Christ as our intercessor is a grave error, as He is the only acceptable mediator between God and man.

Scripture teaches that no one can come to the Father except through the Son (John 14:6). Christ is our High Priest, presenting His own righteousness on our behalf. This relationship is essential because we cannot stand before a holy God without an intercessor who can cover our sin. The failure to recognize Christ's role as our mediator leads to spiritual ruin, as seen in the example of King Uzziah, who attempted to approach God without the Levitical priest. His leprosy symbolizes the consequence of bypassing God's appointed means for salvation and access.
