Why is it wrong to feel entitled as a Christian?

Answered in 1 source

Feeling entitled goes against the grace of God and leads to sinful behaviors, such as stealing or dishonesty (Ephesians 4:28).

Entitlement is a dangerous attitude that can permeate the life of a Christian, as it suggests a claim to rights that can lead to grievances and sin. When we feel entitled, we are essentially forgetting the grace that God has extended to us, where we deserved judgment but received mercy instead. Ephesians 4:28 teaches that instead of stealing what we feel is our due, we should labor honestly and be generous to those in need, reflecting the nature of Christ. Recognizing our position as recipients of God's grace helps us combat entitlement and leads us to surrender our rights in favor of serving others.
