Laying aside hindrances is vital for Christians to run their race with perseverance and focus on Christ.

In Hebrews 12:1, we're admonished to lay aside every weight and sin that easily ensnares us. This is essential because hindrances slow us down in our spiritual journey, preventing us from fully engaging in the race of faith. By actively removing these distractions, whether they be sin or otherwise, we can run with endurance and steadfastness towards the ultimate goal: a relationship with Christ and the eternal prize that awaits.
