Why is our relationship with Christ so vital for believers?

Answered in 1 source

A relationship with Christ provides hope, comfort, and assurance of eternal life.

The relationship believers have with Christ is foundational to their faith and life. It is through this connection that we find hope amidst our struggles and assurance of victory over sin and death. As the preacher notes, in Christ we find peace, comfort, and sustenance; His words, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you,' provide the believer with profound reassurance. Our personal relationship with Jesus enriches our spiritual journey, as He promises to fulfill our needs and guide us through life's challenges, reminding us of our identity as His cherished children.
