Why is the presence of God important for believers?

Answered in 1 source

The presence of God provides believers with assurance, peace, and guidance in their lives.

The presence of God is paramount for believers, as it signifies His active involvement in their lives. In Exodus 33:14, God promises Moses, 'My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.' This assurance of God’s presence brings peace, knowing that He is with us in all circumstances. Moreover, God’s presence is not just comforting but also transformative. As believers, we seek to dwell in His presence, which empowers us to live righteously. The New Testament affirms this when Jesus promises to be with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). The experience of His presence deepens our relationship with Him and strengthens our faith.
