Why is trusting God essential in times of fear?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting God allows us to rely on His power and promises instead of our own understanding.

The Israelites faced imminent danger as they stood before the Red Sea with the Egyptian army closing in. Instead of fighting or fleeing in fear, God commanded them to trust Him by standing still (Exodus 14:13). This act of faith is crucial because it reflects reliance on God's salvation rather than human effort. The fearful tendency to take control is countered by the command to entrust everything to God, who is our ultimate protector and savior.
