Why should we submit to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Submission to Christ stems from His love and sacrifice, which compels believers to follow Him faithfully.

Submission to Christ is not only a biblical command but also a response motivated by His profound love and sacrificial act of giving Himself for the church. As Ephesians 5 explains, Christ’s love for His bride is exemplified by His willingness to sacrifice everything to sanctify and cleanse her. When Christians recognize the depth of Christ’s love and the grace He extends, they are moved to voluntarily submit to Him. This submission is the natural outflow of a heart that has been transformed by the gospel, reflecting gratitude and allegiance to the one who saved them. Thus, submitting to Christ is a joyful acknowledgment of His rightful place as Lord and Savior.
