I bless the name of God to say
the Rock of Ages is my Redeemer. He's my Savior. And I rejoice
in Him. Open your Bibles this morning
with me to Revelation chapter 16. Revelation chapter 16. When Ron read our scripture a
little bit ago, I asked him to read that passage because I'm going to take my
subject, the title of this message is actually going to be kind
of lifted out of that scripture he read. And I want to ask you to turn
back there. The Lord Jesus said, He said, the Word that I have
spoken, the Word that I have spoken, the Word that I have
spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. The Word will judge in the last
day. My subject is judgment by the
Word. We've been studying a little
bit here in chapter 15 and getting into chapter 16, the vials of
God's judgment. Look at chapter 16, verse 1. And I heard a great voice out
of the temple, Revelation 16, verse 1. And I heard a great
voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your
ways and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. These vials were introduced to
us back in the first verse of the chapter before this, chapter
15 verse 1, if you would look at this. John said, and I saw another
sign in heaven, great and marvelous. He said, I saw seven angels having
the seven last plagues. For in them is filled up the
wrath of God. In verse 1 of chapter 15, he
calls them the seven plagues. And then in verse 1 of chapter,
the next chapter, chapter 16, he calls them Vials. Vials. There's something about these
seven vials, these seven plagues. He calls them the seven last
plagues. I thought I knew what the word
plague meant, but I decided I would look it up. To get a definition,
here's what the word plague means. A heavy blow. It means to strike
out as to flatten out. And it means to smite.
