How did Adam's sin affect humanity?

Answered in 1 source

Adam's sin introduced death, depravity, and a fallen nature to all humanity.

Adam's transgression had profound implications for all of humanity, as articulated in Romans 5:12, 'therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned.' This underscores the doctrine of original sin, which teaches that all descendants of Adam inherit a corrupt nature. The fall resulted in moral and spiritual death, severing the relationship between God and man, and necessitating a mediator through whom reconciliation could occur. All individuals are consequently in need of grace for salvation and restoration.
