How do we know that Christ is the truth?

Answered in 5 sources

We know Christ is the truth through His own declarations and the fulfillment of Scripture that points to Him as the embodiment of truth.

Our understanding that Christ is the truth is grounded in His own declarations and the authoritative witness of Scripture. Jesus explicitly states, 'I am the truth' (John 14:6), making a profound claim that positions Him as the definitive representation of God’s truth. The entire narrative of the Bible points towards Him, as reflected in John 5:39, where it admonishes believers to search the Scriptures, for they testify of Him. Furthermore, throughout the Old Testament, various types and shadows prefigured the coming of Christ, establishing a continuity that confirms His identity as the truth. By examining these prophetic fulfillments and trusting in His words, Christians are assured of His authenticity and divine nature.
