What does the Bible say about fellowship with Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that believers have complete fellowship with Christ, sharing in His love, desires, sufferings, and joys.

Fellowship with Christ means being united with Him through faith, becoming one in mutual interests. According to 1 John 1:6, this fellowship is profound, for it entails sharing in Christ’s love for the saints and sinners alike. As believers, we reflect His desire for the glory of God and labor to see His kingdom advanced on earth. We desire to be with Him eternally and to fight against sin under His guidance.

Furthermore, this fellowship extends to suffering, where we endure reproach for His sake, experiencing a unique joy in doing so. In our various labors, we commune with Christ by serving others through truth and love. His joy becomes our joy, heightening our experiences of happiness as we anticipate sharing in His exaltation. Ultimately, the promise of fellowship is fulfilled in eternal glory, where the Church will reign with Christ as His beloved bride.
