What does the Bible say about God's nature?

Answered in 4 sources

The Bible teaches that God's nature is spiritual and cannot be fully comprehended by human understanding.

According to John 1:18, no man has seen God at any time, highlighting the ineffable nature of the Divine. Our conceptions of God are often inadequate, as we attempt to frame the infinite spirit after our limited understanding of material existence. Jesus Himself reiterated this limitation, stating that we have neither heard His voice nor seen His shape. Such attempts can lead humanity to misguided beliefs, including idolatry, as seen in Romans 1:23, where the glory of God is exchanged for images resembling created things.
