What does the Bible say about Jesus as our prophet?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is our prophet who reveals God's Word and was prophesied to come, fulfilling God's promises.

The Bible teaches that Jesus is not only the bearer of God's Word but is indeed the Word made flesh (John 1:14). As the great prophet, He brings the eternal message of God, piercing the hearts of men and women with the truth they need for salvation. In Deuteronomy 18:15, it is foretold that the Lord would raise up a prophet from among His people, and Christ fulfills this promise as He speaks the words of eternal life, declaring the nature and will of God to us. His prophecies and declarations are trustworthy because they are rooted in God's sovereign plan and they come to pass.
