How do we know if we have been saved?

Answered in 1 source

We can affirm our salvation by believing we are sinners in need of rescue, understanding God's way of salvation, and calling upon Him (Romans 10:13).

To determine if one has been saved, one must ask three key questions: Do I recognize myself as a sinner in need of salvation? Do I comprehend God's method of salvation as described in the gospel? Have I ever called upon God to save me? Recognizing one's sinfulness is crucial, as it positions a person to seek true salvation. Understanding that salvation comes solely through Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice helps clarify the path to salvation. Finally, the act of calling on God is assured by His promise that anyone who calls upon His name will be saved (Romans 10:13).
