Outside the Camp

The campless album. A man who has belonged to no camp his whole believing life -- not Calvinist, not Reformed, not Baptist, not anything, because no fence ever held all of what he believes. Drawn from the 'Campless' section of the book's preface and sung in the register of Johnny Cash's American Recordings -- a weathered voice, a guitar, and the truth with no place to hide. It descends through the camps that cast him out, sits in the cost of belonging nowhere, turns to find that camplessness was a gift and not only a wound, and lands where Hebrews 13:13 lands: outside the camp, with the Christ who was led there first. New album -- in progress.
