How does suffering relate to God's sovereignty?

Answered in 4 sources

Suffering is a testament to God's sovereignty, with every trial being under His control and part of His divine purpose.

God's sovereignty is paramount when it comes to understanding suffering in the believer's life. Every trial we face is permitted or ordained by God for a specific purpose, as seen in Romans 8:28, where all things work together for good to those who love Him. This means that our struggles are not random or meaningless but serve a greater divine purpose. Furthermore, acknowledging God's sovereignty in our suffering allows us to find peace, knowing that He is always in control and that there is a reason behind our trials which ultimately leads us to a deeper understanding of His grace and love.
