How should Christians respond to the prosperity of the wicked?

Answered in 2 sources

Christians are called to not fret or be envious of the wicked's prosperity, for they will ultimately face judgment.

In Psalm 37:1-2, believers are instructed to 'fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.' This guidance serves to refocus a Christian's perspective on life. Instead of allowing anxiety or jealousy over the apparent success of the wicked, Christians are encouraged to rest assured in God's ultimate justice, knowing that prosperity is fleeting for the unrighteous. The psalm illustrates that the wicked are likened to grass that withers, emphasizing that their success is temporary and will ultimately lead to destruction. By not being consumed by the world's definitions of success, Christians can instead seek and prioritize the eternal wealth found in a relationship with God.
