me, and these shall go away into
everlasting punishment, but the righteous unto eternal life." Turn with me to the book of Revelation,
chapter 22. Kind of mark that place right
there, because we will come back to that in just a moment. Holding
your place there, turn back to Romans 8. While you are turning
there, let me say that as we have been considering praying
about purchasing a vehicle, Brother Walter Gruber, whose vehicle
was He is eleven years old. And as of this point, the monies
that have been given are such that it looks like they are going
to go ahead and buy Brother Walter a vehicle and Brother Cody. They
are going to buy them both one. They had money that, you know,
it just amazes me. the Lord's blessing on his people,
his faithful preachers. Thank you for those of you that
have prayed and given and helped. Romans 8, verse 19. This Scripture right here tells
us and gives us the effect that the earth had when God told Adam. Now, we looked at what God had
told Eve, and we saw in that the gospel. We saw the gospel
in that. In the statement, the pronouncement
of Eve, God told her, He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow. What he said to Adam, you just
stay in Romans 8, what he said to Adam, he said, Because thou
hearkened to the voice of thy wife eating of the tree of which
I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it. Cursed is
the ground for thy sake, and in sorrow shalt thou eat of it
all the days of thy life. Thorns also, and thistles shall
it bring forth to thee, thou shalt eat the herb of the field.
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread till thou return
to the ground, for out of it was thou taken for dust, thou
art, and to dust shalt thou return." Now, God's statement to Adam
was this, that the earth would be cursed for his sake. In that statement, that the earth
And Paul the Apostle in Romans chapter 8 gives a fuller explanation
under the inspiration of the Spirit of God, setting forth
the mercy of Almighty God in God's curse of the earth. was made a curse. When Adam sinned, he sinned with
his eyes wide open, made himself answerable before Almighty God
by his act of disobedience. By one man's disobedience, sin
entered the world, and death by sin. We never never make light
or forfeit the thought of what Adam did before Almighty God. Adam sinned before God and death
reigned in the lives and the body of all men because of Adam's
disobedience. The Lord Jesus Christ, by His
obedience, made Himself answerable before Almighty God for His people. He hearkened unto the voice of
His wife and made Himself answerable by obedience, not by His disobedience. There you see the second Adam,
the second Adam who is life. But in the curse of the earth,
when God told Adam, for your sake, cursed is the earth, For
your sake, let me show you something that again sets forth the glorious
gospel of free grace, the miracle of God's mercy and grace. You know that the Scripture sets
forth clearly that the earth is going to be purged. You know
that with fervent heat. You know that. I want to go back
and read all this. We need to keep going. in this. But you know that the earth is
going to be perched. Why? Because the effects of sin
is on it. You know that. God Almighty,
when Adam sinned against God and died, in the day that you
eat, you're going to die. I'll tell you this, in the day
that the Lord Jesus Christ was made sin, what happened? He died. He died under the judgment of
Almighty God. He died. He died willingly. He
died a curse. He died sin. He was made sin. On that cross, as I've said before,
what hung upon that cross? I'll tell you, the Lamb. The
spotless, holy Lamb of God. The substitute. That's absolutely
right. But I'll tell you this, sin hung
on that cross. Sin. Sin was on that cross. And God dealt with Him. He was
made sin. You and I, we don't even know
what sin is. And He was made sin upon that cross was sin and
God dealt with it. And He put it away. You that
believe, aren't you glad? What do you think God would do
to you? What'd He do to His Son? He forsook Him. You think God
will forsake you? Don't you ever doubt it. He's
a just God. Romans chapter 8, let me show
you this. Here in the curse of the law,
the curse of the earth, this is what Paul the Apostle sets
forth. For I reckon, Romans 8 verse 19, let's read that. For the earnest expectation of
the creature. Now that word creature there
is actually the creation. That's what the Word is interpreted.
For the earnest expectation of the creation, waited for the
manifestation, that is, waits for the disclosure, for the appearing
or the revelation of the sons of God. The creation waits. And in this, we see a picture
of redemption. Now, I'm going to try to be...
Just, you know, real, just right in line. I don't want to sound
redundant, but I want you to grasp hold, God willing, of what
we're seeing here in this curse of the earth being put away. The earth is going to be purged.
Now, the Scripture says, the earnest expectation of the creation,
the creature, waiteth, anxiously waits for the manifestation of
the sons of God. Why? Verse 20, ìFor the creature,
that is, the creation, was made subject to vanity, was made subordinate,
was made worthlessness and depravity, not willingly.î What did the
earth itself do against Almighty God? Nothing. What did the earth
do? What did the creation itself
do? Scripture says the creation was
made subject to worthlessness, vanity, depravity, not willingly,
but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope. That is, Almighty God. God Himself made the creation
subject to this vanity, but in hope. In hope. Though God has imposed judgment
upon the creation, that judgment is not without hope. Now you
just stop and you think about redemption. You think about the
gospel. Here God's people are in sin. Dead. Born in sin. But not without
hope. Not without hope. Look at verse
21. Because the creature itself, the creation itself, I'm talking
about in the purging of this earth, when God Almighty deals
in absolute judgment with the things of this earth, there's
going to be a new heaven and a new earth. There's an old man. Right there, there's a new man
right there. This creation right here, in the way that it was
created, God made it, and this is what God said about the creation.
It's good. It's good. When Adam sinned against
God, the whole earth, the whole creation was plunged under the
judgment of Almighty God. So was man. In time, Almighty God is going
to deal with the effects of this sin on this earth. What's He
going to do? He's going to purge it with a fervent heat. What did He do to Christ? What
did He do to Christ? What did He do? Go put it away.
That's what He did. The sins, the guilt, the debt
of all God's people was dealt with in the person of the Lord
Jesus Christ. God's going to deal with this
earth. This earth was made subject to vanity. but not without hope. Scripture says in verse 21, ìThe
creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of
corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.î
Now, this whole creation is going to be delivered, that is, liberated
in a way according to its nature. I don't know. I told you before,
I don't know what the earth... I just can't imagine what the
earth would be like without the effects of sin. I can't realize
what I'd be like without the effects of sin. I see through
a glass darkly. You that believe, you do too.
But we're not without hope. I mean, we see Him and we know
Him in part and we speak in part. We believe, but we say, Lord,
help our unbelief. I just can't imagine what it
would be like without the effects of sin. But the Scripture truly
sets forth. In that day, we're going to see
Him. And we're going to be like Him. We're going to see Him as
He is. Look at verse 22, For we know
that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together
Until now, the original creation, along with all of God's people,
all of those who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ, groans,
experiences a common calamity. The redemption of this earth
that was under the judgment of Almighty God because of the effects
of sin is a beautiful picture of redemption by the blood of
Christ. You see that? This earth is under the judgment
of God, but not without hope. Adam sinned against God and willingly. This earth right here just felt
the effects of it. And so do God's people, though
they themselves are not under the curse of God. But they feel
the effects of it. Thorns and thistles just grow
within this old nature of mine and just permeate, just grow
and rebel. And the creature, Groans just
like God's elect do. They groan and travail. Now,
look back at Revelation 22, verse 3. But here's what the Scripture
says. Now, look at verse 3. This is
where we started last week. But there shall be no more curse.
Man, what a statement. I mean, just take that one statement. There will be no more curse.
You go back and you look at the curse on Satan. The curse on
this earth. The curse of which the Lord Jesus
Christ was made. The curse that all men apart
from Christ are under. Scripture says there's not going
to be any more curse. God Almighty has dealt with it. He's put Satan
in hell. All that are found. That's what
Brother Scott just read. Matthew 25. Who are going to
be those that are going to be separated? Those that God's never
said His affection on. The goats, those that grow up
in this life and they think they do God's service and they despise
God's people, they despise God's preachers, they speak against
God's anointed. I tell you this, it's a scary
thing, fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God.
God is a consuming fire. God Almighty is going to deal
with it under the goats. He's going to say, depart from
Me, you workers of iniquity. I never knew you in love and
affection, in mercy. I never knew you. Under the sheep,
He's going to say, well done. When do we do it? When do we
do it? They did it in their substitute, in the Lord Jesus Christ. And
God gave them a heart to bow before Him. There will be no
more curse. But we've been dealing, starting
in verse 1, of chapter 22 with the new heaven, the new earth,
the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of God. That's what we've been
talking about. And here's what the Scripture
says, "...but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it."
New heaven, new earth that has awaited anxiously for the glorious
liberation of the sons of God is now honored." That earth that
Almighty God created in the beginning, the way that He made it, this
was God's summation of what He did. It's very good. It's very
good. Nothing can be added to it to
make it better. Nothing can be taken from it
to improve it. It's very good. The way that
God created the earth and the heavens. That is the new earth. That is the new heaven. Not new
as being another, but new in the way that we perceive it.
New heaven, new earth. The children of God will then
be honored to have the very presence and sight of the throne of God. The usurper has been cast out.
The curse is gone. And then it says, And his servants
shall serve him. Well, I might as well go ahead
and get this over with. Don't you think, Neil? Let's
go ahead and just tell you right now what I plan to say in the
next few minutes. It's 10.30 right now. I'm going
to set forth everything that I feel that the Lord has given
me some light on. I'm going to tell you some things
that the Scriptures clearly set forth, but I'm going to tell
you before I go any farther. There's going to be some areas
that we don't know anything about. There's going to be some things
that God has not been pleased to reveal. But let's just take
a few minutes and just go into this Scripture right here. And
deal with it in as much light. And pray that the Spirit of God
will teach us something about it. Because I'm going to tell
you something. In that statement right there,
"...and His servants shall serve Him." There's found indescribable truth. Like I said
now, Remember, I told you this. I told you I'll tell you everything
that I can find, everything that the Scripture sets forth. I'll
give you some food for thought in light of the Scriptures. This was the rule when we started
this book. If we can't back it up with Scripture,
we're not going to speculate, because that which the Lord has
not revealed, He has not revealed. But with that in mind, let's
just kind of ease into this. and his servants shall serve
him." Now, I do know this. I looked up the word servant,
and it means bond slaves. It means those who have been
given a willing heart before Christ. The word servant here
describes one that has been delivered from the bondage of self, and
his servants shall serve him." They have been delivered from
the bondage of themselves. Now, a servant or his service
is described truly as being bound to Christ. Now, you think of
the honor and the privilege to call yourself. That is what Paul
the Apostle said. He says in Romans 1.1, He says,
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ. Now, I'll just stop at that moment
for just a second and say this. A servant of God is one to which
we're appointed. No man takes that honor upon
himself. How can he? A servant. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ. A bond slave. One made willing
in the day of God's power that God Almighty would call him out. What an honor! What a privilege!
Whatever capacity God has called a man or a woman to, it is a
privilege and an honor, but it's given unto you. It's appointed
unto you. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ,
called to be an apostle. You see, Paul is a servant that
Almighty God called to be an apostle. You're a servant if
you're a believer. If God has regenerated you by
His grace, you're a servant called to be what? Whatever Almighty
God's called you to be. He's a servant of Jesus Christ. The word servant or serve has
to do with worship of servants. The hour cometh, the Lord said
in John 4.23, and now is when the true worshipers shall worship
the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to
worship Him. They don't seek Him. God seeks
Him. The Father seeketh such. All
believers are servants whose attitude toward the Lord Jesus
Christ reveals everything. It's not what a man does outwardly,
not what a man does outwardly, though God's people do act in
a way that is respectful outwardly. But God looks on the heart. God
looks on the heart. I mean, I can fool you. You can
fool me. But I'm going to tell you something.
We're not fooling God. We're not fooling God at all. An attitude
of a servant, one willingly bows, longing after. The Lord Jesus
Christ. Psalm 100, verse 2 says, Serve
the Lord with gladness, with joy, and come before His presence,
or His face, with singing or triumph. Triumph. Come before His face with triumph. The believer is glad. Come before the Lord. Serve the
Lord with joy. Aren't you glad God has not imputed
your sin to you, not charge you with it. Charge you to the person. This service begins at conversion. I tell you what, before Almighty
God called me out of darkness, I tell you who I served. I tell
you who you served. I tell you you that believe who
you served before, and I tell you you that believe not who
you serve now. You serve yourself. You serve
yourself. Yourself. It is said by the Lord
Jesus Christ, if any man serve Me. If any man worship from the
heart. Worship. You see, a believer
can sit there, he'll listen to the Word of God, he'll hear the
Gospel preached, he'll hear the message of redemption, grace,
and he worships God. Right now, in his heart, he is
worshiping, serving, thankful, offering sacrifices of praise. If any man serve me, worship
from the heart. Let him follow me. Follow me. Let him go the way I go. And
where I am, there shall also my servant be. My servant. God's people look at themselves
and they say, Oh boy, I just don't see myself
with a heart after Christ. Let me tell you something. If
Almighty God has given you a new heart, you have a heart after
Christ. If Almighty God has imparted
a new life to you, you believe the Gospel of Christ, the Gospel
of God, you're following Him. You're going in the direction
He's going. Yeah, but I see in me no good thing. Oh, I agree
with you. But that which is born of God
sins not. There's a new nature. And that
right brother's got it too. There's one nature that hates
God, despises God, resists God, and there's a new nature that
worships Him. Paul says with the new mind.
With my flesh there dwells no good thing. And with my flesh,
he said, I serve. I serve the law of sin. Here it says His servants are
going to serve Him. How? New heart. He said, I'll
give you a new heart. I'm going to write my law. And
you'll love it. You'll love that law. Is anything
wrong with the law of God? Tell me one thing is wrong with
the law of God. No, the problem is I don't have the ability to
keep it for righteousness before God. That's the problem. But
one has. Serve the Lord. My servants,
I tell you, God's people, you have to get up every day. You have to face a new day. But
I'm telling you, God's people in the closet, in the office,
at home, everywhere, there is a devotedness to Christ. Devotion. In that new Jerusalem,
there's going to be no time. We want no time. I'm building
up. I'm telling you what a servant
is and what his attitude is. And I'm going to get to that
word serve. And I'm going to get to something in a minute,
Lord willing, on activity. And I'm talking about not only
activity in this earth, but what the Scripture says about the
new earth. You know, we think, well, what
are we going to be doing in heaven? We're going to be sitting around
on a cloud, you know, kind of strumming a harp What do we do? Well, I'm going to try to come
to that in a minute. But in this New Jerusalem, you
know that there's going to be no time. Time will be no more. So therefore, there's no termination
of our devotedness. Revelation 7, verse 15 says,
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him
day and night in His temple." Well, there's no night there,
as we know night. So therefore, that Scripture
is talking about unceasingness. There are some things that are
written for our understanding, how we perceive. But the nature
of our service is the issue that's here. That is to say, what does
the Scripture reveal as to our service? then, our service then. It says, His servants, bond slaves,
willing bond slaves, shall serve Him. They shall worship Him or
they shall minister to Him. Now, we realize that whatever
we shall do then, we've already started Now, the new nature,
the new heart, the new mind, the new man that is created in
Christ Jesus, that creation that is created, born from above,
it's never going to change. That which will be in heaven
before Almighty God, you possess right now, you that believe.
That's not going to change. So you know something about it
right now. Almighty God has set forth that
His servants shall serve Him. And what we shall do then perfectly,
we've already started now. Brother Don Fortner wrote something
I read and I thought, That's a good, I like that, I like that. He said this, he said, the one
difference between the true believer and the mere religionist is that
the religionist fits the worship of God into his life's busy schedule. And the believer arranges the
affairs of his life around the worship of God. That's true. That's true. A man that just
fits in, coming to worship God when it's convenient, doesn't
know Him. A man, a woman that knows Him,
every week is governed, every day is governed around, when
can I worship God together? When can I come together? The
worship of God is what He arranges everything else around. If what
I'm going to do today, is that going to be displeasing to Him? What do I do? His servants shall
serve Him. What gives the greatest peace
and joy and comfort and fulfillment to you now? Right now. Is it the thoughts of Him? Is
it the worship of Him? Is it the service of Him? What
gives you pleasure? And I'm just being honest with
you. It's just honest. God's people worship Him. They bow to Him. They serve Him. Everything else revolves around
Him. Paul says, for me to live is
Christ. Christ is my life. And I don't
fit Him in when I can. I understand. I do. I understand
work schedules and I understand going on vacations. But I'm talking
about day in and day out. I'm talking about perpetually.
I'm talking about throughout a course of a year. I'm talking
about year in and year out. I'm not talking about if you
got called in and you had to go to work and you've got to
work to set. Listen, I know some men that Wednesday nights were
the only times that they could worship because of a work schedule.
I understand that. I'm talking about when you can,
how you can. God's people, the new heart,
the new man, the new creature that God Almighty has imparted
to you right now is the same heart that you'll have then without
the presence of sin. His people. We have Christ in
us. The hope of glory, the assurance
of glory is never going to be removed. He's never, never. God Almighty that has set up
residency within His people. But now, though we see, we hunger,
and we thirst, and we desire, and we worship, we see Him through
a glass darkly. But then His servants are going
to serve Him. No more will the body of death
be joined to us. No more the old man who is a
servant of self and the world and the devil. Then there will
be undiluted worship and service and commitment. Now this we cannot
perceive. The truth of that, the fullness
of that, I just cannot grasp hold of. I don't know. But now, just like in fleeting
moments, just every once in a while, it seems as though that the Spirit
of God allows His people just for that long to just almost
get a glimpse of what it will be in that day. I mean, it's
just almost like just for a moment, God allowed us to just enjoy. Just for a moment. Sometimes
it's, you know, you'll be sitting here and something will be said
and the Spirit of God will just take that and just go, you thought,
man, that's right. Oh, that's good. My daughter,
Sarah, last Sunday, I tell you, I was so thankful she's gone
through a lot of stuff and her daddy with her. But she told
me last Sunday, she said, Dad, I just wish I could just grasp
hold of that and just stop time for right now. She said, She
said, but I'm just so forgetful. She said, I feel myself already
just forgetting what you just preached here a minute ago. And
she said, I wish I could stop. What a thrill to have a daughter
tell you that. We have a glimpse of what that
state will be. Turn to 2 Corinthians 12. 2 Corinthians 12. Verse 1, Paul says, it's not
expedient for me doubtless to glory. What he says, I don't
have any reason to boast. I will come to visions and revelations
of the Lord. That is, the revelations given
me by God is enough. I wish I could explain dealing
with this, his servants will serve him. I wish I had the ability,
Mark, to tell you. I just don't. Paul says it's
expedient. It's not expedient for me to,
you know. He says, I knew a man in Christ
above fourteen years ago, whether in the body I cannot tell, or
whether out of the body I cannot tell. God knoweth. Such in one
caught up to the third I knew a man in Christ, Paul said, almost
as if Paul was just a spectator to this event. Just kind of looking
at it, whether in the body or out of the body, I can't tell.
He said, the nature of this visit, whether just my soul or my body
and soul, I don't know. But he was caught up, Scripture
said. Caught up, carried away to the
third heaven, to paradise. That's what that is. And I knew
such in verse 3, whether in the body or out of the body, I cannot
tell God knoweth how, that he was caught up into paradise and
heard unspeakable words which it is not lawful for a man to
utter. I heard unspeakable words. That
is to say, words not to be spoken. which is not lawful for a man
to utter. Paul was not allowed, it was
not possible for him to make known the words to others. It's
enough that we know that in that day, in that period, in that
place, the saints of God shall be perfectly holy, perfectly
blessed, and perfectly satisfied in the full enjoyment of God's
presence forever. I can't perceive. I get up and
we'll get done here and I'll go put my Bible over there and
we'll go get something to eat and we'll talk and laugh and
get something to eat and go home. I kind of think in the vein of
the way I do things now. We come and we worship. We worship
together on Wednesdays and we come on Sundays and this is the
way I do things. I can't perceive things. But our attitude. in that day
is this, His servants shall serve Him. No thoughts that will alter
that. No sin to distract. No deviation
for the service. That will be our attitude. Paul
says, but what about our vocation? Our vocation. Now when it says,
His servants shall serve Him. Now that word, worship, That's
what it means, worship. But it has to do with activity. Now, here's some scripture to
ponder. 1 John 3, 2, Beloved, now are
we the sons of God. And it does not yet appear what
we shall be, but we know that when He shall appear, we shall
be like Him, for we shall be as He is. Now though there is a greater
manifestation of glory to come, without waiting for his second
coming, I know that we possess a present dignity. John says, Beloved, now are we
the sons of God. I like Brother Scott's definition
of now. Right now. Now are we the sons of God. But now it has not been made
manifest, but we shall be. There is something that is unspeakable
about our exact nature then. But when He shall appear, that
is to say, when it is made apparent with the open manifestation of
the Lord Jesus Christ, we shall see Him like He is. We will be
changed into His glorious image. Why? John says, we're going to
see Him as He is. Be like Him. Like Him. 2 Corinthians 3.18 says, But we
all with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the
Lord, are changed into the same image from glory, now we are
the sons of God, to glory then, even as by the Spirit of the
Lord. There is an indescribable and unrevealed change that's
going to take place. And in that day, no presence
of sin, no curse. In that day, perfect minds, seeing
like He is, knowing. But our vocation, that's what
I got to thinking about, our vocation. Revelation 1 says,
It says this, and here's what I want to tell you. I've thought
a lot about this. This past week, I've thought
a lot about this and prayed about this, prayed about this message
and struggled over it. What should I say and what should
I not say? And I don't want to say anything
disrespectful. But I do want to set forth some
things that I know are so. Revelation 1-6 says, "...and
He hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father." We are kings and priests now. He hath made us kings and priests. Right now. Kings and priests
unto God. And we shall serve, I know this,
as kings and priests unto our Father. We will serve being reigning
with Him. We'll wear as what is revealed. Paul says, a crown of righteousness. And he says, not only to me,
but to all that love Him. And look for His appearance.
A crown of righteousness. I know it has to do with the
person of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our crown Himself. But the Scripture says that there's
something, and I want you to look at this, and we're going
to have to stop. It's five minutes until eleven. I'll go until eleven
and I'll stop. I've got a lot more to say here.
I want you to turn to Genesis chapter 2. I'll just leave you
with a thought. And Lord willing, the next time
we meet together, we'll pick up right here. But Genesis chapter
2 and verse 15. The Scripture says, And the Lord
God took the man. Took Adam. and put him into the
garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it." The word dress actually
means to work. That's what the word means. It
means to work. The word keep means to observe,
to watch, and to regard it. Remember what I said before I
started this, I'll tell you everything that I know, and I'll tell you
some things that I've seen, I'll tell you some things that Scripture
has revealed, and then we'll just let the Spirit of God teach
us whatever He's pleased. But I know this, that even before
the fall, man was not created to lead a life of inactivity.
Now, that's pretty obvious to me. Genesis 2.15 says this is
before the fall. And the Lord God took the man
and put him in the garden to dress it and to keep it. That
is, to work it. Now, I know this. The curse of
the earth was not there yet. I understand that. There was a course or a purpose
for man in the garden according to God's decree. Now, the extent
of that, I don't know. I have no idea. I know this,
that man was placed in the garden that was created for him. I know
that. I know that there were trees
planted by God and they were good to the sight and they were
good for food. I began to think on that path.
Now, I think right now in the vein of thinking that I eat to
live. The Scripture says that God put
trees in the garden that were good for sight and good for food. And Adam ate before the fall. There was no toil, there were
no thorns, there were no thistles, because there was no curse. But
there was a place of God's creation in which man fellowshiped with
God in a state of innocence. A place where man was always
reminded of the provision and the sovereignty of Almighty God. Adam was put into the garden."
That word, put, there means to dwell, to rest, and to withdraw
with comfort. I began to think on that. I thought,
comfort is a word that has to be relative. Comfort to what? I mean, I have to know something
of toil to know what is comfort. Adam was comfortable in the Garden. The Scriptures are silent to
the exact state. I do know that God took the man
and put him to dwell, to rest, and to find comfort in the Garden
of Eden to dress it and to keep it. I'm going to stop right there
because we're just out of time, but I'm going to say this. And
I'll leave this thought with you. Everything that Adam lost
in the fall, in innocence, and Adam, in innocence, fell. You know that. In innocence,
he disobeyed God. Christ restored by the sacrifice
of himself. Had Adam stayed in that state,
he would have been susceptible to fall. If man had not fallen
and been redeemed by the blood of Christ without the possibility
now of falling, being kept by the power of God, man would truly
have no eternal security because Adam fell. And any man like him
could have to. But before the fall, Adam was
in a place that obviously he was not inactive. He walked with
God. I mean, we read that. He ate.
He named the animals. He looked at them. Now what's
the depth of that? I don't know. I don't know. What's
it going to be like then in the new creation, in the new earth?
Well, we're just going to look at the Scriptures and see what
does the Scriptures have to say. But I will tell you this. When
we come to the last conclusion that we can come to, this is
going to be it. Eye hath not seen, ear hath not
heard. Never has it ever entered into
the heart of man that which God has prepared for them that love
him. But there are some things that we see through a glass darkly
and we perceive. But I will tell you this. Adam
was not left to just sit back idly. Adam walked with God. In that day, we'll be more aware. Maybe that's a good word. We
think we're aware of His presence now. Brother Scott, we're not.
We're not. In that day, we'll be perfectly
aware of what's going on. This is a vapor right now. This
is a cloud. I mean, this is fog here, Jeff. Oh, but in that day. But I tell
you, if we're God's people, They've got an earnest hope. They anxiously
look for Him. They think on Him. And the things
of this world become more and more less beautiful to them. All the presence of sin is there.
And that old heart that just holds on, that's what I'm going
after. I'm going to go after this world.
But for God's people, I'll tell you this, The more they learn,
the more they grow in grace and in the knowledge of their Lord
and Savior. They see Him, and they look for
Him, and they long for Him with anxious anticipation. Lord willing,
next time we meet together, we look and continue in the service. And His servants will serve Him. Well, I hope that's a help to
you.
