How do we know Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament law?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus fulfilled the law by offering Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin, completing what the law pointed to.

In Hebrews, it is clear that the Old Testament law and its sacrificial system were never the ultimate means of reconciliation with God but mere shadows of the reality to come. Jesus Christ, in His incarnation and atonement, perfectly fulfilled the requirements of the law. As the author of Hebrews emphasizes, He entered the holy place not with the blood of goats and calves but with His own blood, securing eternal redemption (Hebrews 9:12). The sacrifices under the law were repeated and could not truly cleanse the conscience, pointing instead to the need for a greater sacrifice. Jesus, being sinless, offers the perfect sacrifice, thereby establishing a new covenant that supersedes the old Levitical rites, bringing believers directly into fellowship with God.
