How do we know that Christ is the fulfillment of the Tabernacle's symbolism?

Answered in 1 source

Christ fulfills the Tabernacle's symbolism by embodying the presence of God and serving as the ultimate light and sacrifice.

The Tabernacle and its elements, including the candlestick, serve as types and shadows of Christ. In John 1:14, we read, 'And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,' which signifies God’s presence in the person of Christ. The candlestick, meant to provide light, represents Christ as the true light who reveals the Father to mankind. Additionally, the Tabernacle's design and function prefigure Christ’s redemptive work—just as sacrifices were made within the Tabernacle, Christ offered Himself as the ultimate sacrifice for sin. In Hebrews 8:5, it is confirmed that the priestly work of Christ was to fulfill what was merely a shadow of heavenly realities. Thus, the Tabernacle finds its complete meaning in the person and work of Jesus.
