How do we know that Jesus is our complete sufficiency?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture teaches that we are complete in Christ, as He is the head of all principality and power.

The notion of being complete in Christ is central to Reformed theology, firmly established in Colossians 2:9-10, which states that in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and we are complete in Him. This completeness means that all our spiritual needs, justification, sanctification, and every blessing come through our union with Him. Instead of relying on our performance or works, we trust in His finished work, affirming that our standing before God is secure in Christ. Therefore, any attempt to add to Christ's work negates the essence of the gospel.
