How do we know that Jesus' sacrifice was sufficient for our sins?

Answered in 22 sources

We know Jesus' sacrifice was sufficient because He offered Himself once for all, and after doing so, He sat down at the right hand of God, indicating His work was complete.

Hebrews 10:12 confirms that 'this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God.' This sitting down symbolizes the completion and sufficiency of His sacrifice. Unlike the repeated animal sacrifices of the Old Covenant, which could only provide temporary atonement, Christ's one-time offering removed the sins of His people permanently. The resurrection of Christ is the divine endorsement of His sacrifice, ensuring that all who believe in Him are forgiven and justified (Romans 3:24-26).
