Let's take our Bibles and turn
with me to the book of Hebrews 11. Hebrews 11. Let's look at
verse 27 tonight. Hebrews 11.27. The Scriptures
declare, by faith, He forsook Egypt, not fearing
the wrath of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is
invisible. Let's pray together. Our Father, this evening we ask
you, would you help us? we would desire to worship and
to hear from you. Lord, we pray, speak to us by
your Spirit through your word for Christ's sake. Amen. The scripture declares in Hebrews
11 verse 1, it says, Now faith, this is faith. is the substance,
it is the assurance of things that are hoped for. And it's
the evidence or it's the proving of things that are not seen. Faith, true faith. Faith given
from above. Men are not born with faith. They are not born with faith.
Not born in Adam. Man must be given faith. When Almighty God calls a sinner
out of darkness and gives him life, life in Christ, faith is
given at that time. And God's people hear. And they know. And they follow. Faith is the assurance of all
that we hope for, look for, expect. Not that we hope everything is
going to be okay. Hope in Christ is assurance. We have a hope. Faith is the
reality of things that we do not see as of yet with our corporal
eyes. We know them. We know them by
faith. We know that God is. And that
He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Faith always
is based on the Word of God. If Almighty God has not dealt
with something, or if you're looking for something, or believing
for something, or hoping for something, and it's not according
to the Scriptures, that's not faith. That's not faith. Faith
is always based on God's Word. Now, the last time we looked
at these Scriptures, the Scriptures sets forth that in verse 26 concerning
Moses, Moses, verse 24, was come to years, was 40 years old, and
he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing
rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy
the pleasures of sin for a season, esteeming the reproach of Christ,
greater riches and the treasures in Egypt, for he had respect
unto the recompense of the reward." That which was offered him, that
which he had as far as this world was concerned. Everything in
this world. Moses had that. He was adopted
by Pharaoh's daughter when he was just a little baby. Grew
up in Pharaoh's court. All of that he considered when
Almighty God taught him who God was. Gave him a heart after God. And he esteemed the reproach
of Christ. Greater riches. He aligned himself
with his Hebrew brethren and Egyptian was beating one of his
Hebrew brethren. And Moses killed him. Killed
that Egyptian. Hit him. Buried him. Next day,
he came and there was two Hebrews fighting and arguing. He said,
you know, you shouldn't be doing that. And they said, what are
you going to do, kill us too? Like you killed that Egyptian yesterday?
And Moses fled. Everything that the world offered
him. Honor, being the son of Pharaoh's
daughter, adopted son. Pleasures of sin for a season. That is, whatever pleasures would
be at his disposal in opposition to serving God. Wealth. Wealth of Egypt. That's what
the world offered him. That's what the world offers
any sinner. Honor in this world. Pleasure
in this world. Wealth in this world. And this
is what Almighty God promises His people in this world. This
is what God promises His people according to this world. affliction,
suffering, trials, tribulation. Only by the grace of God would
one choose rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to
enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. That would take God's
grace, God's mercy for a man or a woman to say, no, I tell
you, I would rather be aligned with God's people, hearing God's
Word preached, hearing the message of God's sovereign grace. I would
rather take that and be ridiculed as being Opposers of God, and
you know what everybody... Had a man call me today. Wanted
to know what time services started. Sunday, and I told him. He said,
I see you're Baptist. I said, yeah. He said, what kind? And I told him. I said, we believe
in sovereign grace. Sovereign electing. predestinating,
God-choosing, God-honoring, man-abasing grace. Well, thank you. Thank you very much. Talk to
you later. That was it. We're not going to compromise
on our blessed Lord, His Word, His Gospel. God's people would
rather suffer affliction with God's people than to enjoy the
pleasures of sin. Now, verse 27 says, By faith
he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he
endured as seeing him who is invisible. Now, in verse 24,
25, 26, I know that that happened when Moses was about 40 years
old. And he fled Egypt when he realized
that he was caught, he was exposed. They knew, they knew that it
was Moses that killed that Egyptian. And now, if I do not err, and
I think that I'm right, having looked at the Scriptures that
follows this, I believe, And if this is concerning the time
that Moses left when he was 40, if it is that, I know this. I know it doesn't change the
truth of it. I know that by faith he forsook Egypt even then at
40 years old. But I believe that this is after
he's been in the desert for 40 years, the wilderness for 40
years. And now he's come back. And now this is 40 years later. Moses now is 80 years old, having
been sent by Almighty God to go and tell Pharaoh, you let
my people go. Almighty God had met Moses, the
Scripture says, in Exodus. He met him at the burning bush.
Moses was there in Midian. And he came and he found this
bush and it was burning and it wasn't consumed. Exodus 3, 6
says, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for he
was afraid to look upon God. Verse 10 says, Come now therefore,
and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth
My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt. And Moses needed
some assurance. He says in verse 12 of Exodus
3, what's my assurance here? I killed a man there. I murdered
an Egyptian. I was raised up in Pharaoh's
daughter's house. She raised me from a child. And
I left. I just abandoned her. Just left
her. What's the assurance that I have?
The Lord said, surely, certainly, I will be with thee. And then
Moses asked Him in verse 13 of Exodus 3, when I come unto the
children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your
fathers has sent me unto you. And they shall say to me, What
is his name? What shall I say unto them? And
God said unto Moses, I am that I am. He said, Thus shalt thou
say unto the children of Israel, I am has sent thee unto you. Now with the assurance of God's
Word, Knowing what has happened in the past. Knowing that he
is truly guilty of killing, murdering an Egyptian. Almighty God has
told him, you go back. And you go back to Pharaoh. And
you tell Pharaoh that I AM has sent you and you let My people
go. And by faith, the scripture says,
he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he
endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Now what we see Moses
forsaking, that is, abandoning, is more than the honor and the
pleasure and the wealth of physical Egypt. What he's abandoning is
actually the false religion of Egypt. Now you think about the
picture, the type of Egypt. Whenever God's people were said
to have been brought out of Egypt, Egypt is a type, it's a picture
of sin. Darkness, spiritual darkness
and unbelief. Man's attempt to earn life, spiritual
life, by his own ability. The Scripture says forth, by
faith Moses forsook Egypt. Now I want you to think about
this meeting. Moses is going to have to go
in and stand before Pharaoh and tell Pharaoh, God's people are
to be let go. I want you to take your Bibles
with me and we're going to kind of look through the book of Exodus
and let's just see what happened. Exodus chapter 5. Exodus 5. Exodus chapter 5 and verses 1
to 3. Now here was Moses and Aaron's
first meeting with Pharaoh. Forty years he's been gone. And
now God is going to send him back, and he is going to have
to go before this powerful Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Exodus 5,
verses 1 to 3, And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and
told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people
go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. And
Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord? that I should obey his voice
to let Israel go. I know not the Lord, neither
will I let Israel go. And they said, the God of the
Hebrews has met with us. Let us go, we pray thee, three
days journey into the desert and sacrifice unto the Lord our
God, lest He fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword. And then look at verses 4 to
9. Here's Pharaoh's response. And the king of Egypt said unto
them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from
their works get you unto your own burdens? Get you unto your
burdens. And Pharaoh said, Behold, the
people of the land now are many, and we make them rest from their
burdens. And Pharaoh commanded the same
day the taskmasters of the people and their officers, saying, Ye
shall no more give the people straw to make brick as heretofore. Let them go and gather straw
for themselves, and the tail of the bricks which they did
make heretofore ye shall lay upon them. Ye shall not diminish
aught thereof, for they be idle. Therefore they cry, saying, Let
us go and sacrifice to our God. Let there more work be laid upon
the men that they may labor therein, and let them not regard vain
words." Pharaoh refused. arrogantly laid more work on
the Hebrews. And now the Hebrews, and here
what's going on, Moses and Aaron comes in and they said, God has
said to let my people go. Pharaoh says, God, I don't know
who you're talking about. I don't know the Lord you're
talking about right now. And this thing of letting the
Hebrews go, now evidently, if they've got time to go worship,
Then they've got time to go get their own straw. You let them
start gathering their own straw, and there won't be one less brick
made. Well, the Hebrews start to question
now God's men. Look at verse 20 and 21 in Exodus
5. They met. Moses and Aaron who
stood in the way as they came forth from Pharaoh, and they
said unto them, The Lord look upon you and judge, because you
have made our savor to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in
the eyes of his servants to put a sword in their hand to slay
us. Now the Lord has sent Moses,
sent Aaron, Before Pharaoh, to stand before this mighty king
and say, you let my people go. He said, I'm not going to let
them go. In fact, they're going to work harder. And then the
people that God's going to deliver comes to Moses and Aaron and
said, what are you doing? Now look what you've done. The
Lord sent Moses back. Time and time again, in Pharaoh,
the Scripture says concerning the Lord, had his heart hardened
because Pharaoh refused to let God's people go. So God is going
to send plagues, wrath into the Egyptians. Now in these plagues,
Under this wrath of God, Moses saw the justice of God against
sin and unbelief. Look at Exodus 7, verse 19. Pharaoh was not going to let
God's people go. The Scripture sets forth in Exodus
7, verse 19, the Lord spake unto Moses, saying unto Aaron, Take
thy rod and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt,
upon the streams, upon the rivers, upon their ponds, upon all their
pools of water, that they may become blood, and that there
may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels
of wood, vessels of stone. And Moses and Aaron did so as
the Lord commanded. And he lifted up the rod and
he smote the waters that were in the river in the sight of
Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants. And all the waters
that were in the river were turned to blood. And the fish that was
in the river died, and the river stank, and the Egyptians could
not drink of the water of the river, and there was blood throughout
all the land of Egypt. And the magicians of Egypt did
so with their enchantments. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened,
neither did he hearken unto them as the Lord had said. And Pharaoh
turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart.
For this also, and all the Egyptians digged round about the river
for water to drink, for they could not drink of the water
of the river. And seven days were fulfilled
after that the Lord had smitten the river." Disobedience. Disobedience has one result. Death. Here was Moses saying,
you let my people go. No, I'm not going to obey God. And Almighty God turned the water
into blood. Well, I think about when our
Lord came. He turned water into wine, into the beauty of that
blessed Holy Spirit and the blessing that is in Him, life. Disobedience? Death. Obedience? Life. Look at Exodus 8, verses
5 and 6. God sent a plague of frogs Exodus
8, 5 and 6, the Lord spake unto Moses, saying to Aaron, stretch
forth thine hand, thy rod over the streams, over the rivers,
over the ponds, cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and
the frogs came up, covered the land of Egypt. The magicians
did so with their enchantments and brought up frogs upon the
land of Egypt. Frogs started in the streams,
rivers, But they continued. To come, they got into the houses.
Look at verses 8 and 9. Pharaoh called for Moses and
Aaron and said, Entreat the Lord that He may take away the frogs
from me and from my people. I'll let the people go, so that
they may do sacrifice unto the Lord. Moses said to Pharaoh,
Glory over me! When shall I entreat for thee
and for thy servants and for thy people to destroy the frogs
from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river
only? Affliction for disobedience is
always sure. Pharaoh refused. I want you to look at Exodus
8 verses 16 to 19. The Lord said unto Moses, saying
unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, smite the dust of the land, that
it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt. And they
did so. For Aaron stretched out his hand with the rod, and smote
the dust of the earth, and it became lice. in earth. And it became lice in man and
in beasts, and all the dust of the land became lice throughout
all the land of Egypt. And the Egyptians did so with
their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not, for
there were lice. So there were lice upon man and
upon beasts. And the magician said unto Pharaoh,
This is the finger of God. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened,
and he hearkened, nodding to them as the Lord had said. He
refused. No, I'm not going to let the
people of God go. Exodus 8, verse 24, the Lord
said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, stand before
Pharaoh, lo, he cometh forth to the water, and saith unto
him, Thus saith the Lord. Let My people go that they may
serve Me, else if thou wilt not let My people go, therefore,
lo and behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon
thy servant, upon thy people, upon thy houses. Houses of the
Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground
whereon they are, and I will sever in that day the land of
Goshen in which My people dwell. that no swarms of flies shall
be there. To the end thou mayest know that
I am the Lord in the midst of the earth, and I will put a division
between My people and thy people. Tomorrow shall this sign be."
And the Lord did so. And there came a grievous swarm
of flies into the house of Pharaoh and into his servants' houses
and into all the land of Egypt. And the land was corrupted by
reason of the swarms of flies. Surely there can be nothing that
is more repulsive. and flies. I mean, just let a
fly get on something that you're eating. It's just horrible. There was a grievous, the Scripture
says, grievous swarms of flies. Almighty God sent this people
plague after plague after plague And the Scripture sets forth
that Moses forsook, he abandoned Egypt, not fearing the king. He endured as seeing Him who
is invisible. Now at this point, Pharaoh at
this point, verse 25, the Scripture says, Pharaoh called for Moses.
After all, he sent these flies, and he doesn't turn water into
blood, he doesn't send lice, he doesn't send flies. Okay,
Pharaoh called for Moses for Aaron, and he said, Go ye, sacrifice
to your God in the land. You can go, and notice where
he told them they could go. Go and sacrifice your God in
the land. You can go and sacrifice, but
just don't leave Egypt. You can't leave Egypt. You can worship your God, but
you're not going to burn your bridges here. Now, Moses said
in verse 27, we will go three days' journey into the wilderness
and sacrifice to the Lord our God as He shall command us. Our God has sent us to worship. In verse 28, Pharaoh said, I
will let you go that you may sacrifice to the Lord your God
in the wilderness, only ye shall not go very far away. Entreat for me But after the
Lord removed the flies, verse 32, Pharaoh hardened his heart
at this time also, and neither would he let the people go. God then sent a plague of pestilence. Scripture says in Exodus 9, verses
1 to 7, Then the Lord said to Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and
tell him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Let my people
go, that they may serve me. For if thou refuse to let them
go, and wilt hold them still, behold, the hand of the Lord
is upon the cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon
the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, upon the sheep, and
there shall be a very grievous meringue, a plague, and the Lord
shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt,
and there shall nothing die of all that is the children of Israel."
That is the children of Israel. And the Lord appointed a set
time, saying, tomorrow the Lord shall do this thing in the land.
And the Lord did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle
of Egypt died. But the cattle of the children
of Israel died, not one. And Pharaoh sent, and behold,
there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead, and the
heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people
go." God sent Moses back to Pharaoh. Exodus 9, verse 13 to 16. The Lord said unto Moses, Rise
up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say
unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Let my people
go, that they may serve me, for I will at this time send all
my plagues upon thine heart, upon thy servants. on thy people,
that thou mayest know that there is none like Me in the earth. For now I will stretch out My
hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence. Thou
shalt be cut off from the earth. And in very deed for this cause
have I raised thee up, for to show in thee My power, that My
name may be declared throughout all the earth." Almighty God
told him, He said, I'm telling you, you let My people go. I'm going to send plagues on
you. I'll wipe you out. I've raised you up for this purpose.
To show my power in you. Can you imagine? I mean, humanly
speaking, Moses is a man. He's a man that Almighty God
has spoken to. That Almighty God has convinced
that He's God. And there's none like Him. And
Moses is standing before this king, this Pharaoh. And God has
sent plague after plague after plague. He's killed his cattle. He sent frogs and blood. And Moses did not fear. He endured. Seeing Him who is
invisible by faith. Exodus chapter 9. Verse 22, 26,
Scripture says, The Lord said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine
hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of
Egypt, upon man, upon beast, upon every herb of the field
throughout the land of Egypt. And Moses stretched forth his
rod toward heaven, And the Lord sent thunder and hail, and the
fire ran along upon the ground, and the Lord rained hail upon
the land of Egypt. So there was hail, and fire mingled
with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it
in all the land of Egypt, since it became a nation. And the hail
smote throughout all the land of Egypt, all that was in the
field, both man and beast, and hail smote every herb of the
field and break. Every tree of the field, only
in the land of Goshen where the children of Israel were, was
there no hail. Everything that was in the open,
everything that was out there, man and beast, God killed them. Exodus 9, verses 27 to 30, and
Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron and said unto them,
I have sinned this time. The Lord is righteous. And I
and my people are wicked. Entreat the Lord, for it is enough
that there be no more mighty thunders and hail. And I will
let you go, and you shall stay no longer." And Moses said unto
him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad
my hands unto the Lord, and the thunders shall cease, neither
shall there be any more hail, that thou mayest know that the
earth is the Lord's. But as for thee, and thy service,
I know that ye will not yet fear the Lord God." As soon as the fiery hail stopped,
verse 34 and 35, when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail
and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more and hardened
his heart. He and his servants in the heart
of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of
Israel go as the Lord had spoken by Moses. Moses and Aaron came in unto
Pharaoh and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews,
How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? Let my people go, that they may
serve me. If thou refuse to let my people
go, behold, tomorrow I will bring the locusts into thy coast, and
they shall cover the face of the earth that one cannot. be able to see the earth. And
they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which
remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which
groweth for you out of the field. And they shall fill thy houses,
and thy house and all thy servants, and the house of all the Egyptians,
which neither thy fathers nor thy father's fathers have seen
since the day that they were upon the earth to this day."
And he turned himself and went out from Pharaoh. And Pharaoh's
servants said in verse 7, How long shall this man be a snare
unto us? Let the men go, that they may
serve the Lord their God. Knowest thou not yet that Egypt
is destroyed? Pharaoh, after the Lord sent the locusts,
He had a false repentance. God did send the locusts. That's
what verses 12-15 says. We'll just read that. Verses
12 to 15. And the Lord said unto Moses,
Stretch out thy hand over the land of Egypt, for the locusts,
that they may come upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb
of the land, even all that the hail hath left. And Moses stretched
forth his rod over the land of Egypt. And the Lord brought an
east wind upon the land all that day and all that night. And when
it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts, and the
locusts went. up over the land of Egypt and
rested in all the coast of Egypt, very grievous were they. Before
them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall
be such, for they covered the face of the whole earth, so that
the land was darkened. And they did eat every herb of
the land and all the fruit of the trees which hail hath left,
and there remained not any green thing in the trees nor in the
herbs of the field throughout all the land of Egypt. Chapter 10, verses 16-18. Here's what Pharaoh called for
Moses in haste. And he said, I've sinned against
the Lord your God and against you. Therefore, forgive, I pray
thee, my sin, only this once. And entreat the Lord your God
that He may take away from me this death only. And he went
out from Pharaoh and entreated the Lord. But the Scripture says
in verse 20, But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart that he would
not let the children of Israel go. And God, in verse 21 of chapter
10, sent darkness. The Lord God said unto Moses,
Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness
over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. And
Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven. And there was
a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. Pharaoh
said in verse 24, he called unto Moses and said, Go ye, serve
the Lord. Only let your flocks and your
herds be stayed. Let your little ones also go
with you. Yeah, go ahead. Go on out. The Scripture sits
forth. Moses said, No. Thou must give us also sacrifices
and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice unto the Lord our God. Pharaoh said, Look, I tell you
what. You guys go. But you leave your flocks and
your herds with us. Moses said, No. We are going
to serve God. God's way. We're going to have
the sacrifices that we need. Verse 27, But the Lord hardened
Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go. And God was
going to send one more plague. The Lord instituted the Passover. And Lord willing, we'll look
at this next time. But the Lord was going to come
through Egypt at midnight. And he was going to smite all
of the firstborn in Egypt. Exodus 12, verse 29 and 30. For the sake of time, I won't
read all of it that goes in. I'll just read what happened
right there. Pharaoh would not let God's people
go. Moses, by the grace of God, forsook
Egypt. He abandoned Egypt. He would
not bow down, cower down. He endured as seeing Him who
is invisible. Didn't fear the King. Now, you
think about what has been going on. God said, I'm going to send
one more plague. Exodus 9. I mean, I'm sorry,
Exodus 12, verse 29 and 30, came to pass. that at midnight the Lord smote
all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn
of Pharaoh that sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive
that was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of cattle.
And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he and all his servants, and
all the Egyptians. And there was a great cry in
Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead."
And the Scripture sets forth, that Pharaoh sent the nation
of Israel out. Now, here's what we know. Almighty God had ordained the
way, the place that His people would worship Him. Pharaoh wanted
concessions. I'll let you go, but just don't
take your cattle. I'll let you go, leave your little
ones here. I'll let you go, just don't go very far. I'll let you
go, but just don't leave the land. Pharaoh wanted terms on
his part, his concessions. Stay with us. Listen, we're not
of this world. Almighty God has set forth that
we worship Him one way. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
and thou shalt be saved. We don't mingle with this world's
religion. 2 Corinthians 6.14 says, Be ye
not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship
hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light
with darkness? We are in this world, but we
are not of it. By faith, by faith, believing
God, resting on God's Word, I will be with you. I will not forsake
you. By faith, he abandoned, he forsook
Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he endured as
seeing, not that he saw, as seeing. And this is how God's people
are right now. Seeing. Him who is invisible. I was thinking
of a scripture, and this will be the last scripture for this
evening, talking about how Moses, he had everything. Humanly speaking,
he had everything. And this man, man blessed of
God, was driven out of Egypt. Forty years he was gone. And
God told him, you go back in. You tell Pharaoh, you let my
people go. And all that he had forsaken
was considered nothing to him to be aligned with God's people. Those people that were in Egypt,
that was God's people. And God said, they're coming
out. I think about when Paul the Apostle in Philippians 3,
verses 5 to 8. Philippians 3. Five to eight, he circumcised
the eighth day of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin,
Hebrew of the Hebrews, as touching the law of Pharisee, concerning
zeal, persecuting the church, touching righteousness which
is in the law, blameless. But what things were gained to
me, Paul says, though I counted loss. for Christ. Yea, doubtless
I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge
of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss
of all things and do count them but dumb. That I may win Christ
and be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which
is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ,
the righteousness which is of God by faith." Listen, Moses
considered being with God's people, a spokesman for God Almighty,
God's presence with Him, God's promise, God's Word, I will be
with you. Don't be afraid of the King.
All of the strongholds of sin and Satan, this world, this flesh,
all the strongholds of resistance, God's going to tear them down.
I'm telling you, I think about the grace of God in calling a
man or a woman out of darkness. But for the grace of God, look
at the resistance against God's Word and God's way and God's
purpose, God's mind. Look at the resistance of Pharaoh.
To not let God's people go. What is it going to take to free
a man? It's going to take the power
of Almighty God. Do you think that you have the
power to release yourself? What did it take to get those
people out of Egypt? It took God to get them out.
Those people could not come out by themselves. And I'll tell
you this, no man, no woman is ever going to be freed from the
bondage of sin. Save Almighty God in His indescribable
power and mercy and grace. Cause them out of darkness. I
will remove that heart of stone. I'll give you a heart of flesh.
I'll give you a new heart. I'll give you life. And when
Almighty God gives a man life, that man is free. Tearing down
all these strongholds. But for the grace of God, where
would I be? Help me to know by faith, by faith, God-given faith,
that God give me a heart to forsake Egypt. To forsake the darkness
and the hatefulness of God Almighty, of sin and resistance against
