Patience, bless, and see the
light of day. Great God of righteousness, arise! Bless the dark world with heavenly
light. Thy gospel makes the simple wise. Thy laws are pure, thy judgments
right. I know blessed wonders here we
view, in souls renewed and sins forgiven. His songs, his hymns are a little
more eloquent than what we're singing, but that's the language
that goes over the writer. We do sing a hymn, though, that
says, Love so amazing, so divine, through man's might, holds the
essence of the song, the writer's hymn. Both hymns, Not to impress
people. I don't think so. Certainly John
Luther didn't do that. But rather to glorify God as
much as possible. Back to Genesis 41. Genesis 41. That's not the paleo. That's not the paleo. Man disagrees. And why? To reveal the secrets. marvelous picture of the Lord
Jesus Christ in the story of Joseph. Now, Pharaoh represents
the Lord God, dear, God the Father, in this story, but not perfectly. Those of you who know something
about Old Testament types know that no type can perfectly represent
God, nor Christ, nor salvation. That's the reason there are so
many. Nevertheless, Pharaoh represents,
to some extent, God the Father. And Joseph, as we have seen,
represents the Lord Jesus Christ. Alright, Pharaoh had a dream.
Now, we're not going to read that. The first seven verses,
it tells the dream which Pharaoh had. And I'll just tell you a
little bit about it. He dreamed that there were seven
fat cows. There were seven fat cows in
his dream. And after that, he dreamed of
seven lean cows, or kind. And the seven lean cattle ate
up the seven fat cows. And then he dreams another dream,
right after that, of seven fat ears of corn. And right after
that, seven ill ears of corn, blasted by the wind. And the
seven poor ears of corn ate up the seven fat ears. for Pharaoh called for his magicians."
Look at verse 8 of chapter 41. Behold, it came to pass in the
morning that his spirit was troubled. Now you see how he can't represent
God here. Nevertheless, see, it says that
his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the
magicians of Egypt and all the wise men thereof. And Pharaoh
told them his dream, but there was none that could interpret
them unto Pharaoh. Now turn over to Isaiah 29 with
me. We looked at this before. I think we looked at it before
last Wednesday's message. But it says that Pharaoh told
them his dream, but none could interpret his dream unto him. Well, God Almighty has purposed
and ordained all things. Scripture says, as we quoted
last week, known unto God are all his works from the beginning
of the world. And God has written a book. It's
called the Book of Life, the Lamb's Book of Life. And before
the foundation of the world is when he wrote this book. And
he put in it his purposes, his will, his mind. And it's all
in a book. All right? And you know that
book has been delivered to everyone. There's never been more Bibles
in the history of the world than there are now. But do you know that most of
these self-proclaimed preachers and hocus-pocus preachers, I
like to call them, do not know the meaning It has one name. We're going to see a little bit
how it says the dream of Pharaoh is one. Joseph said that. The dreams of Pharaoh. He had
two dreams with four parts, but it was all one. Well, look at
Isaiah. I need to turn. When I tell you
to turn, I need to turn. Isaiah 29. Look at this. We read
this last week. It says in verses 11 and 12,
the vision, well verses, look at verse 9, begin there. Stay
yourselves in wonder. Cry ye out and cry. They're drunken,
but not with wine. They stagger, but not with strong
drinks. That kind of reminds me of modern-day
Pentecostal charismatic movement. All this stuff going on in the
name of God. Staggering, drunk, like those
prophets that withstood Elijah on Mount Carmel. Jumping and
shouting and hollering, but don't have a clue. But it says in verse
10, have poured out upon you the
spirit of deep sleep, and have closed your eyes. The prophets
and your rulers, the seers, have recovered." This is quoted, paraphrased,
anyway, in the New Testament, where it says, God has hid these
things from the wise and prudent. Our Lord rejoiced one time. One
of the few times it says the Lord rejoiced. And he had just
said some parables to everyone, and the Pharisees didn't understand
what he was saying. Simple parables, and they didn't
understand. But he was about to reveal them
to his disciples, and he said out loud, he said, looking to
heaven, he said, it says he rejoiced and said, I thank thee, Father,
Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from
the wise and the foolish. and revealed them unto them,
leaving so far that it seemed good in thy sight. Hath not God
made foolish the wisdom of Israel? Paul said that in 1 Corinthians
2. He said, where is the one, where is the wise, where is the
scribe, where is the distributor of Israel? Hath not God made
foolish the purported wisdom of man? God has hid these things
because the truth is not known by searching. but by revelation. We're going to see that. It has
to be revealed. And there's only one person that
can reveal this. Only one person that can reveal
the mind and the will of God Almighty. Look at verse 11. The
vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book which
is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, or that
is supposed to be learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee. And he
said, I can't. It's sealed. I don't understand.
And I have, we've talked about how many of you grew up in a
religion, in the world's typical religions of Methodism, Baptism
and so forth, Catholicism, what have you. And you've heard many
of these Old Testament stories, such as Noah's Ark, the creation
and so forth, but you've never heard Christ. Stories like the book of Ruth,
and all you heard about was Ruth's great faith and her resolve to
go with Naomi. What a faithful woman she was,
and she didn't hear about Bonhoeffer. The whole meaning is hidden from
the world. The whole meaning. Well, and
God says, you know what God says about these preachers today?
He says, He calls them wizards that teach. It should not a people seek unto
their God, instead, be the wizard. For the Word of God is hidden.
And I'll give you a clue as to what the meaning of it is. Not
that you need clues. But here's what it says in the
New Testament. That in whom are hid all the
treasures of wisdom and knowledge. In whom? In Christ. He is even called wisdom. I will
tell you, I've heard it before. He is the wisdom of God. And
I'm going to have you turn to the Revelation. The Revelation? Most people call that book by
the wrong name. Revelations, yeah. It's THE REVELATION. And the
first verse says, THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST. That's what
the whole book is about. As we've said before, God didn't
write sixty-five books on the subject of His Son that changed
the century. It's THE REVELATION. Now it's
all about Christ. And we saw that when we studied
that through that book. But there's one revealer. Go
back to the text. Genesis 41. There's one who can
reveal, who must reveal the truth. Now, before we get into that,
do you remember the butler that was in prison? A couple of Sundays before, I
announced we were going to look at the butler and the baker and
the story. We alluded to that, and I had
forgotten which one that Joseph restored. And you did, too. You didn't know. Caitlin Tendrick came up to me
after the sermon and said, is this right? I said, are you sure? She said, yes. I said, well,
did you lie? I believed her. And it is. And there's a way to remember
that according to their occupations. Remember as we studied that?
A baker is one who concocts all sorts of things to try to please
the king. It didn't please the king. It did to him. A butler
is one who merely does what the king gets him to do. It brings
to the king what the king demands. That's how you can remember.
That's how I've intended to remember. Do you remember the butler, though?
Joseph, while in prison, said, now you're going to be restored
in the favor of the king. One thing I want you to do, remember
me. Remember that? And we saw how
the butler forgot. And we saw that that's a picture
of Well, it can be a picture too, can't it? It can be a picture
of the believer before he is a believer. And God has begun a good work,
and Scripture says, Philippians 1, that God which hath begun
a good work in you will finish it. Well, when that work begins,
there's not much, you know, And let's follow these things until
the Lord and Holy Spirit brings these things to remembrance.
The Word, we saw this before, how the Word is called the incorruptible
seed. And no man knows when that Word
is planted. Nobody knows when the seed of
God is planted, when it's conceived in the human heart. God only
knows that. Because no soul winner is going to share the glory with
God. He doesn't know. No preacher knows. Preachers
like that young man shoot arrows at a venture. They don't know.
And one may seem excited and rejoicing and all that. It may
be a stony ground here. But over here is a heart that's
being prepared by the Spirit of God. And what happens when
you put seed in the ground? Does it spring up immediately?
No. The deeper you put the seed,
the longer it stays. Well, this butler represents
a believer in the first stages until finally the Holy Spirit
of God waters the Word and the Word springs forth into faith
and life. Well, thank you. Knowledge. Understand? Also, the butler
represents every believer. who, in times of trouble, calls
on the Lord, and the Lord is very near to him, like Joseph,
in the dungeon with him. While you're in times of trouble,
you really need him, and he's near and dear to you, and so
forth. And when you get out of trouble, Everything's restored,
everything's fine, and the butler was back in that palace in plenty,
and everything his heart stood to desire, he forgot. He forgot
the woman by whose reason of whom he was
in the palace. And look at what he said. God
was gracious to him. Verse 9, Then spake the cheap
butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults. He overheard Pharaoh saying to
all these magicians. Can anybody interpret the dream? That man. Half of it I forgot. Such a sweet, precious, wonderful,
lovely man is that man. He restored me. Oh, I do remember my father. And the Holy Spirit brings to
remember to us our faults, and yet brings Christ to mind. Read
on. Pharaoh was wroth with his servants,
put me in ward, and the captain of the guards out. Me and the
chief baker, we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he. We dreamed
each man according to the interpretation of his dream. And there was with
us a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard.
He interpreted to us our dreams. So each man, according to his
dream, he did interpret. And it came to pass as he interpreted. In other words, everything that
happened to me is exactly what he said to me. Every word he told me was true.
This man was true. Everything happened as he said
it would. And me, he restored. Wait a minute. Pharaoh was one of us. Now, this
prisoner in the dungeon is the one who restored me to my life. And him and the baker, he had. Well, my, my. This is the confession of every
believer, is it not? Everything Christ is and says
is true. He is the truth. And he is the
one that has restored me. Well, Pharaoh sins for Joseph. Look at verse fourteen. Then
Pharaoh sent and called Joseph. Now, if you'll read the Gospel
of John, there's something you'll notice throughout that Gospel,
something that stands out. Christ so often says, about himself,
that he's the sent one. One whom the Father hath sent.
Hath sent. He keeps saying that. In the
fullness of time, Scripture says, God sent forth his Son. The Scripture says in Isaiah
42, I have called thee in righteousness. And before the world began, God
Almighty made a covenant with His Son and the Holy Spirit, and called
the Son in righteousness to be the head of this covenant, the
Redeemer of His people, the Revealer of sins, and to bring the prisoners
out of the dungeon. And this is also a picture of
Christ's resurrection. Look at this, verse 14, Then
Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily
out of the dungeon. And he shaved himself, and changed
his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh. That's a picture of
Christ who appeared unto the Father after He was buried and
rose again and was put back on His incorruptible body. and went back to appear before
God the Father, assumed His glorified body, laid aside His lowly form,
went back into the presence of God Almighty. But look at this. Here's a practical lesson for
all of us to learn. The Pharaoh called Joseph. They
brought him hastily out of the dungeon. And what did Joseph
do? He's going to appear before the
king where he fears himself. And he's not going to appear
before the king in any old fashion. He prepares himself. He shaves
himself, and he changes his reign. And so simply, out of fear of
our God, we should rest accordingly and prepare ourselves accordingly. look and act like the world,
and run into the presence of God, you'll prepare looking like
whatever. It's a hard matter for me to
believe that Peter, God, and His presence say to me, on Wednesday
night at 11 o'clock, I need to remember His presence to come
into me. I try to believe that, I can't.
I don't. I don't. The rest is crazy. The rest is
nonsense. OK, so Joseph prepared himself, changed his reign, came
in unto the king. Verse 15, Pharaoh said unto Joseph,
I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it.
And I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a
dream to interpret it. None can interpret it, but I
hear you can. And what does the Scripture say?
Christ said this Himself. He said, No man knoweth the Father,
save the Son, and him to whom the Son will reveal. You hear that? No man knoweth
the Father, save the Son, and him to whom the Son will reveal. Nobody knows God unless Jesus
Christ revealed God to them. No other religion knows God.
I have a false God. And only those who know Christ
know God. That's what we noted last week,
how Christ said to some of those Pharisees, if God were your Father. Clearly implying that God was
not their Father. God is not the Father of all
mankind. He said, if God were your Father,
you would love me. But he that honoureth the Father
must honour the Son, he said. And no man knows the Father,
no man knows the mind, the will, the purpose of God save the Son,
and him to whom the Son will reveal. And Christ came down
here to reveal the Father. Even the disciples were confused
after a while, even after being with Christ for three and a half
years. Like so many people. But they
saw the man, and they couldn't see past the flesh. And our Lord
was about to leave, and it was Philip that said, Show us the
Father. Just show us God, and we'll be happy. He said, Philip, have I been
so long time with you, yet thou hast not known me? He that hath seen me hath seen
the Father." As Isaiah said, call his name Wonderful Counselor,
the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father. How can the Son be the
Father? The Father be the Son, because He's God. These three
are one. Well, now look at this. Joseph answered
Pharaoh saying, It is not in me. God shall give Pharaoh an
answer of peace. It is not in me, but God shall
give the answer. Christ said these, nearly said
these very words. Christ said, the words that I
speak, I speak not of myself, but the Father which is in me.
This is the tip. You know, Christ is called that
prophet. Would you turn with me to Deuteronomy 18? I didn't write it down. I hope
this is it. Deuteronomy 18. I think this
is it. Yeah, this is it. Deuteronomy
18. Turn over there. Christ is called that prophet. Moses said God will raise up
a prophet like unto me. and with a capital P. The revealer
of all things. You see, the prophets, you take
the prophets, start with whoever, Moses or whoever. They didn't
reveal everything. They didn't know everything.
Peter said that plainly, to whom it was revealed, but not unto
them. Remember Peter wrote that it was revealed unto them, but
it was not fully revealed unto them. but under us later on. Well, all of the prophets were
wise men, Samuel, Moses, David, Elijah, and Elijah, and so forth,
but they didn't know it all. They prophesied in part. This is why there were so many
prophets. Each had a part. Now, they all told the same story,
but just a part of the story. The woman at the well one time,
she's the one that said this, when the Christ has come, he'll
tell us all things. That prophet of whom Moses spake,
when he comes, we won't need any more prophets. He's that
prophet, the prophet to do away with all prophets. John was the
last of the Old Testament prophets, and Jesus Christ is that prophet,
the revealer of all things. Look at this, Deuteronomy 18,
verse 18. That ought to be easy to remember,
shouldn't it? I will raise them up a prophet,
capital P, from among their brethren, like unto thee, God says this
to Moses, and will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak
unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass
that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall
speak in my name, I will require it of him. Read on. Here's a test of a true prophet.
The prophet which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which
I have not commanded him to speak, for that shall speak in the name
of other gods, like, you know, Mary, even that prophet shall die.
And if thou say in thine heart, if someone asks, how shall we
know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? Here's a test
of a true prophet. When a prophet speaketh in the
name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, that is, if it doesn't
happen, nor come to pass, just like he said, that is the thing
which the Lord hath not spoken. The prophet hath spoken it presumptuously. He's not a true prophet. In other words, a prophet sent
by God, everything he said must come to pass. Not 99 out of 100
things. 100. There are no more prophets. Any
man that stands up today and says he is, is a liar. A liar. The prophecy in Joel chapter
two of Prophets is the New Testament and the apostle God gave some
evangelist prophets, apostles, evangelists, pastors and teachers
in that order. No more prophets. Why? Jesus
Christ is that prophet. He's revealed it all unto us. All we need to know. What else
do we need to know? What do we need to know that Moroni, or
whoever that person that the so-called Mormons made up. What
do we need to know that he has to say? Nothing. What about Joseph
Smith? Charles, what's his name? What's
his name? That the Jehovah Witnesses so-called
get their information from. We don't need what they have
to say. Jesus Christ is the last word
on every subject. All that is written is written
that needs to be written. And he gave some apostles to
clarify even what he said. And they did so, and they wrote
books. And that's it. That's it. There are no missing whatever. Oh, no. It's all been written
in a book and sealed. Doesn't it say it's sealed? All
right, look at, go back to the text in Genesis 41. And Christ said this, didn't
he? He said, all things are delivered unto me by the Father. I'm the
revealer, the will, the mind, the purpose, the law, the covenant,
even the people are delivered unto me. We're going to see that
in a minute. All right, Joseph interprets Pharaoh's dream. He
said in verse 25, the dream of Pharaoh is won. God has showed
Pharaoh what he's about to do. The Word of God is won, as we've
seen. The Word of God is won. The Old
Testament is not a book about Israel, not a book of Jewish history.
It is his story. Jesus Christ one time was was
talking walking and talking to his disciples. And it says beginning
and Luke 24 where this is found. It says beginning in the book
of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms. That's the whole Old Testament
folks. He said he expounded under them the things concerning himself. He said to some Pharisees, he
said, you search the Scriptures, and in them you think you have
life. He said, you search the Scriptures,
you read and study your Bible, and in it you think you're going
to learn how to live and get to God. But he said, they are
they which testify of me. Christ said, I am life. I am the way, the truth, and
the life. You don't get to God by how you live. Because I live,
he said, you shall live. Now go and learn what that means
and you'll learn something about it. The center of prophecy is all
around Jesus Christ. He said, to him give all the
prophets witness. Do we need another verse of this
quoted Bible? To him give all the prophets
witness. This Bible is a him book. It's his story. It's not about
the Jews. They're just in it. It's all
about Jesus Christ. The dream of Pharaoh is one. Can you think of a New Testament
scripture that says that? One, that God will gather together
in one. I've quoted hundreds of times
it. Ephesians 1, 9. God hath abounded
toward us in all wisdom and proved us, having made known unto us
the mystery of his will, how he'll gather together in one,
all things, even in one, Jesus Christ. This whole shebang, this
whole ball of dirt, this whole universe is all about the glory
of God's Son and bringing a people out of this God-forsaken place
to give to Jesus Christ, to put in Jesus Christ for salvation.
The dream is one. The purpose is one. And then
that same chapter of Ephesians, he says it three times, to the
praise of the glory of His grace. This is all about to the praise
of the glory of His grace. to the praise of the glory of
his grace wherein he has made us accepted, where? In one. The dream, the Bible, the book
of God is one. There's sixty-six of them, but
it's one. It's one. I stay there a while, but Joseph
interprets a dream. He says it'll be seven years
of plenty and seven years of famine. Seven years of plenty
and seven years of famine. Verse 32, the dream was doubled
under Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God.
Doesn't the scripture say at the mouth of two or three witnesses,
the thing is established? If one person says something,
Don't believe me, unless somebody else backs it up. Unless it's
the one we were talking about. But even he said, don't, he said,
the Father bears witness to me. If I speak, he said this, he
said, if I bear witness of myself, my witness is true. Yes, there
is another that bears witness, and another that bears witness
to me. Two, yes, three bear witness. Well, God had spoken once, yet
twice, Scripture says, and men perceive it not. Listen to this.
It's happened before and it's happening again. Seven years
of planning, seven years of panic. Now, we don't fully know the
meaning of the seven years, like Daniel's 70 weeks and so forth. No man knows. No man knows. Any
man that says he knows is a liar. No man knows. Christ said that.
No man knows, didn't he? Didn't he say that? How much
Bible do men need? Christ said, no man knows the
day or the hour. But these men stand up and make
these predictions. And they don't come true. And yet people keep
following them by the thousands. Not dumb ignorance. No man knows. Don't know the
significance. I wouldn't even begin to say
it. Nevertheless, God has spoken once, yet twice, there have been
plenty, and there have been famine. Back in the Old Testament, God
sent prophet after prophet after prophet after prophet after prophet
after prophet after prophet after prophet. Plenty! The Word of
God was not hard to find. It was everywhere. Moses, Joshua,
Samuel, David, Solomon, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Malachi,
and on and on we go. Prophet after prophet after prophet
after prophet, plenty of the word of God, bread of life, and
famine. Famine. After Malachi, the book of Malachi,
after it was written, four hundred years. Not a word from now. No prophet. No prophet. Four
hundred years. John came, the baptizer. What a prophet. Oh my, this is
he that would prepare, this is the forerunner of Christ. John, then Christ himself, then
that prophet came. Oh, plenty. Oh, we're having
a feast now, aren't we? Then Christ came. Then the apostle.
Oh, the apostle. and Peter, and James, and John. Then the martyrs, Luther, and
Zwingli, and Huss, and Edwards, and Newton, and keep going, Watson,
and keep going. Plenty, plenty. Ed, the whole
European continent was full of gospel preachers, wasn't it?
Switzerland, Calvin, Germany, all over the place. The Scottish
reformers. Plenty, plenty, plenty. Then
in this land, it spread to this land. Asahel Nettleton and even
Whitfield came to this land and preached all over the state of
Georgia, all over the South. That's probably where Ralph Barnard
heard it. I'm just kidding. He's a couple
hundred years later. But at least it's down in the
South. And then God sent men like Barnard, another John the
Baptist. And how many churches spread all over the land that
we know? Look at Amos with the book of
Amos chapter eight you know this quote this all the time book
of Amos real quickly chapter eight. I say we're in a time of famine
not a bread this is the most Affluent society in the history
of the human race, Rome pales in comparison to the riches of
this nation. The Persians never lived like the modern world did. Verse 11,
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send
a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the Lord. Hearing the words of the
law all people aren't going to hear the word of the Lord they're
going to hear the choir. They're going to see the illustrious
preacher. They're going to get find them
a mate because they're been divorced or single or whatever. The famine of the hearing people.
Are thirsty. famine of hearers and the famine
of the word itself. Verse twelve, they'll wander
from sea to sea, from north to north, and run to and fro to
seek the word of the Lord and shall not find it. Folks, your
heart is hard pressed to find a man that'll stand up verse
by verse, line upon line, line upon line, precept upon precept,
and deal with God's word and nothing else. None of the trappings,
none of the frills, none of this other crap. Just the naked word
of God. Let's see what God's Word said,
line upon line, line upon line. Hard pressed to find. You have
to run to and fro to find somebody. I say we're in a famine, especially
we're in that time that Paul spoke of in 2 Timothy 3, where
he said there'd be perilous times. And chapter 4, where he said
time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but
will turn away their ears from the truth. We're in those lean
times. We'll go back to the text very
quickly. Let's look at the end of it.
It says in verse 33, Now Joseph said, Let Pharaoh look out a
man, discreet and wise, and set him over all of Egypt. Discreet means intelligent discreet
means has discernment discreet means able to divide truth from
error and so forth foresight discretion and wise wise means
someone who knows the best course to take knows what to do and
how to do it and does it. Well is there such a man. Pharaoh
and it says let Pharaoh do this verse thirty four let him appoint
officers over the land. One man and officers under. Undertake
to rule this land of the. That sound like anybody you know. Oh look not to the right hand
or look to the left kingdom of God come with not with observation
king of God. With him before. Pharaoh said
in verse thirty eight Pharaoh said can we find such a one as
this he looks to the left. As. His magicians or whoever
looks to the right, asks his courtiers, can we find such a
one as this, a man in who the spirit of God is? And he said, as much as God has
showed thee all this, there's none so discreet and wise as
thou art. Do you know of anybody so discreet
and wise as Jesus Christ? You know, the only wise men I
know, and the only discreet men I know, and the only ones I look
up to, and the only ones I have anything for, are those who get
their wisdom from Jesus Christ. I wouldn't give you a plug nickel
for it. Well, there was what I said. Let's put it this way. I can't think of one world leader
that I really, really look up to. Not one. Not one. But I can think of a whole
lot of men who are Christ-like men and women who've got their
wisdom and their discretion from Jesus Christ. And those are the
ones that I esteem highly. I esteem highly. Because wisdom
comes from above. Well, so Pharaoh said, thou shalt
be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people
be ruled. You're the man, and by your word
my people shall be ruled. Isn't that what God said about
Jesus Christ? This is my beloved Son, in whom
I am well pleased. Hear Him. hear him. Verse 41, Pharaoh said, I have
set thee over all the land of Egypt. John 17, 2, Christ said,
as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that he should
give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. All authority. I have set thee
over it all. All authority, all judgments
given unto the Son. And Pharaoh took off his ring
and put it on him, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen.
Yes, Christ is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification,
and redemption, that according as it is written, he that glorieth. You see, our righteousness is
filthy rags, aren't they? Barbara, Isaiah 64 says. Christ
is made unto us righteous. He's the one wearing the royal
garment. And verse forty three Pharaoh made him to ride in the
second chariot. No. You see. That doesn't work
does it Sam. You see Christ who thought it
not robbery to be equal with God. He's equal he doesn't ride
in the second chariot. He doesn't play second fiddle.
He and the father are one. One in power one in authority.
One in honor one in glory. Yes they are. Read on. and it
says everyone cried or that is pharaoh told them to cry bow
of the knee every knee must bow here comes joseph right every
knee must bow what would happen if somebody didn't bow their
knee and their knees would buckle from
the sword that entered their bone And what the scripture said
that the name of Jesus every knee must bow and every tongue
confess that he's low. Pharaoh's the one that said this.
I am Pharaoh. And no man, he said, going to
lift his hand or his foot without you. That's sovereignty. Isn't that sovereignty? Did Joseph
have sovereignty? He said, nobody's going to lift
a hand or a foot without your permission. And that's Jesus
Christ. Well, and Pharaoh gave Joseph
a wife. Anybody still with me? I've been
45 minutes, that's all I've been. Gave him a wife. And God gave
Christ a people before the foundation of the world And he went out
over all the land of Egypt. Joseph, it says, was thirty years
old when he stood before God. Well, I'll be thirty years old. Isn't that
a coincidence? Christ stood on this planet, stood before God,
began his ministry as that prophet at thirty years old and we don't
have time to read it but it goes on you read the rest of yourself.
It says that he went out all over the land and it happened
just like he said it would. But yet he he gathered. And his
officers gather food for his people. He had his officers gather
food and scripture says God will give you pastures after my own
heart that shall feed you. Feed you. and gathered food for
the family because it is if it's said it was coming and it had.
But we don't we're not hungry are we are you ever go on you
ever go home with John. Not as long as we. Go through
God's word the bread of life will never go on. And. All the countries had to
come into Egypt to Joseph. If anybody's going to get anything,
that'll come to Joseph. And then the next chapter. You
know, we already preached on that, the brothers. Did we do
it again? Corn in Egypt, Jacob said. I've heard there's corn in Egypt. Don't stand around and look at
each other. Get down there. OK, stand with me. Our Heavenly Father, thank you
for sending the Lord Jesus Christ to this planet to reign and rule
over all flesh and give eternal life to those that you have given
him. Thank you for sending him. The ruler, the sovereign, the
disposer, the provider, protector, king, of kings and lord of lords
of Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for sending him. May we bow the knee and with
our tongue confess that he is Lord to thy glory. In Christ's
name we've met here today. Amen. You're dismissed. Thank you. Okay, I'm going to go ahead and
do that. I don't know if you can see it,
but there's a little bit of snow on the ground. Thank you very much. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Thank you.
