You may be seated. Turn back with me to 2 Timothy
chapter 3. We're going to concern ourselves
with one verse this morning. Verse 16. All Scripture is given by inspiration
of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness. Now, everything that we believe
is based upon this book. Everything. We believe that God
Almighty, who created the heavens and the earth, wrote this book. Without doubt, the word of the
Creator, the word of God, infallible, without error. And we believe this is the only
book that there is. There is no other. There are no lost scriptures.
There are no other versions. This is it. What you have, the
canon of scripture, what you have before you is the word of
God. All 66 books, no more, no less. The Word of God. Paul writes
to this young preacher and says, all Scripture is given by inspiration
of God. Peter said the same thing. You
want to turn there, 2 Peter chapter 1. 2 Peter chapter 1. All Scripture. Now the Scriptures
which Paul is talking about primarily is the Old Testament, the Old
Testament. I remind you that that was the
only Bible they had then, the Old Testament scriptures. So
he's talking about the Old Testament from Genesis to Malachi, 39 books. He says this is the Word of God
given by inspiration of God, the prophets. were men sent by
God to write, used by God to declare his word and to write
them down for future generations to read it. Peter says the same
thing in 2 Peter 1, verse 20, verses 20 and 21. Knowing this
first, he says, you need to know that, keep this foremost in your
mind, that no prophecy of the scriptures of any private or
that is personal But the prophecy came not in old time by the will
of man. In other words, Isaiah just did
nothing to decide, I think I'll write a book. Or Jeremiah or
Malachi. But it came, holy men of God
spoke, spake, as they were moved, that is instructed, inspired,
taught, led by the Holy Ghost. So he says, all scripture, go
back to the text, all scripture is given by inspiration of God,
all scripture. And he's primarily talking about
the Old Testament. However, Paul, when he was writing
to the Thessalonians, the church at the city called Thessalonica,
in 1 Thessalonians 2, verse 13, he says, I thank God. He says,
I thank God that you received the word, the word that we preach,
the word that the apostles preached, the letters they wrote. He said,
I thank God that you received it, not as the words of men,
but as it is in truth, the word of God. So all scripture, Old
Testament and new. is the Word of God, is given
by inspiration of God. Whatever the Apostle Paul wrote
was the Word of God, is the Word of God. God Almighty spoke through
him. So it's not up for debate. No
one can argue, well, Paul was just this or that. No, it's the Word of God, Old
Testament and New Testament. The Word of God is called into
question today. Very few really believe it is
his word. Most argue and debate over it. But there's no argument,
no room for argument or debate. This is God's word, every part
of it. Whether we understand it or not,
whether it meets our logic, our rationale or not, it's the word
of God. It's not to be subjected to man's rationale and reason
and logic. All scripture, New Testament,
it's God's work. Old Testament, it's God's work.
All right, verse 16, it says also, that all scripture is given
by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine. Profitable for doctrine. I recall one time when I was
working on the railroad, we would have a Friday lunchtime little
service. One fellow was in charge of bringing
in a speaker, a preacher, so-called, every Friday at lunchtime. And
whoever wanted to could sit there and listen to his whatever it
was he said. And I sat in on a few of them.
One time he asked me to provide this preacher. for that Friday
at lunchtime. And I thought, oh boy, finally. I wasn't preaching at the time,
but there were so many to choose from. Young men, good preachers. And I chose the one I thought
was the best. And I told the fellow the following
Monday morning, I have someone who's coming. And he said, he
started getting a little nervous, a little anxious. He knew something
of what we believe. He said, now, do you tell this
fellow when he comes, don't preach doctrine. Tell him not to preach
doctrine, just preach Jesus. Just preach Jesus. Well, my,
my. Our Lord's doctrine, and the fellow And do you know
what he took as his text? I told him that the fellow said
that. The fellow stood up, a friend of mine, to preach, and he took
as his text 2 John, verse 9, which says, Whosoever transgresseth
and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, he is none of his,
and proceeded to preach doctrine, the doctrine of Christ, the doctrine
of grace. the doctrine of salvation. Doctrine. He tells young Timothy, the word
of God is possible for doctrine. Now the word doctrine is not
an old, dead, dry theological term. It's the word of God. Doctrine. Doctrine means teaching. Teaching. Everything our Lord
said and taught was doctrine. Okay? Doctrine. God's Word teaches
His people. Doctrine. Gives us good doctrine. God's Word teaches us who God
is. Who God is. We can't worship
God with a vague notion of who He is. We must know who He is.
And He's the only one that can teach us that. If you want to
turn to Isaiah 45, just look at a few of these old passages
that we have looked at so many times, this is the doctrine,
the doctrine of God, who God is, character of God, thoughts
of God, ways of God, will of God, purpose of God. There's
only one way you can learn about God, and that's from his word.
Creation, he said, declares the power of God, his Godhead, that
he created all things and is powerful, but it won't tell you
what God is like, His character. It won't tell you what God thinks.
It won't tell you the will and purpose of God. It won't tell
you anything about God other than His creative power. Only
the Word of God declares that. And He declares Himself. Look
at Isaiah 45, verses 5 through 7. I am the Lord and there is
none else. There is no God. beside me, no
absolute controller. I girded thee, that is, I have
done everything concerning you, though thou hast not known me,
though you don't know me, but that they may know from the rising
of the sun and from the west, from east to west, there is none
beside me. I am the Lord, there is none
else. I form the light, create darkness, I make peace, and create
evil. I, the Lord, do all these things. There is a striking passage in
Proverbs 16, verse 4. It says, The Lord hath created
all things for himself, even the wicked, for the day of evil. Now, men don't understand that,
therefore they don't believe it. Men don't like that, therefore
they don't believe it. Men cannot rationalize that,
so they don't believe it. Believers believe it. It's God's
Word. He declares Himself. He's truly
God. There's nothing outside of His
control. There's nothing left up to chance. There's nothing
left in the hands of man, or else man would be a little god,
wouldn't he? But God goes on and on and on to say, I'm God. There is none else. There is
no one in control of anything, anything. No one. There's absolutely nothing and
no one outside from under God's absolute sovereign control, good
and evil. That's God. How do you know that? From the Word of God. Isaiah
46, verses 9 through 11. Look at this. Now these are,
I love this, a doctrine of God's sovereignty. Isaiah 46, 9 through
11. Remember the former things of
old. That is, just think back on everything. Go back from the
beginning to Genesis and look and see and listen and learn
what God did and said and what he does and how he moves and
works. Mysterious, but he's the one
doing it. Remember the former things of old, he said. For I
am God. There is none else. I am God.
There's none like me. In another place, God said to
whom will you liken me? God demands that of man. To whom
will you compare me? He said. Well, men and women
try to do so, don't they? They make comparisons. God is
like this. God is like that. It's all wrong.
The comparisons men make to God is all wrong. The man's a fool
to do so. Because God says, who or what
are you going to liken to me? God's love is like a mother's
love. Fully on that blasphemy, if a woman has a true love, maybe
her love's a little bit like God's love. But you don't compare
God's love to the love of a worm. To whom will you liken me, he
said? You can only compare God to God,
not man. That's man's whole problem. He
says, there's nothing like me. I declare the end from the beginning. I declare the end from the beginning. What does that mean? It means
he's already declared everything that will be done. Is that right? How plain could you
get? God is talking here. This is
God's word, not Isaiah. It's God's word. He said, I've
declared the end from the beginning. Paul preached that in Acts 15. James said that. Known unto God
are all his works from the beginning. Whatever God's purpose before
the world began, it's done. Not one jot or tittle of that
purpose will be altered one whit. I've declared the end from the
beginning. What does that mean? He has predestined. predetermine every single thing
that has happened, ever will happen. That's what you're reading, is
it not? Is that what he said? That's the doctrine of God. We're
looking at the doctrine of God. This is the God of the Bible.
Now, you either believe it or you don't. Ron, is that as plain
as it can get? I declare the end from the beginning. That's the doctrine of God, and
whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in this doctrine, whoever
doesn't believe that, whoever doesn't preach that, God didn't
send him. Read on. I declare from ancient
times things that are not yet done. Say, my counsel shall stand.
I will do all my pleasure. I hear so often men foolishly
say, and women say, God wants to do this, wants to do that.
God doesn't want anything. Nowhere will you find in this
book from cover to cover where it says God wants anything. When you want something, that
means it's something you wish for and you hope for and you
sure hope you get it. If things work out that allow
you to have it, that's us. We want things. You say, I want
to go here. I want to do this. I want to
do that. God doesn't speak that way. God
says, I will do all my pleasure. Whatever it is I'm pleased to
do, I will do. That's the doctrine of God. If
I'm not careful, I'll stay right there the whole time. But he
says, My counsel shall stand, I will do all my pleasure. I call a ravenous bird from the
east, a man, he's talking about a sovereign king that he put
to do his will. The man that executed my counsel
from a far country, yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring
it to pass. I have purposed it. I will do
it. That's the doctrine of God. Go back to the text. It's profitable
for doctrine. Tells us who God is. Teaches
us who God is. You've been taught that. All of you in here have been
taught this over and over, line upon line, from God's Word. And
you know who God is. They shall all be taught of God. All of his people, he said, will
be taught of the Lord. And great will be their peace,
because their God is God. That's their peace. That's all
their peace. From cover to cover, God's Word
declares that he is God. And the doctrine of what man
is. What about man? Well, we've already
concluded he's not God. God said that, didn't he? There's
nothing else. Man's not a little God. Man is
not in control of anything. You hear that? Man is not in
control of anything. He can't even control himself. The heart of the natural man,
the Scripture says, is desperately wicked. Who can know it? What
man is? Well, I was going to have you
turn. We have time. Turn with me. Romans 3. Romans chapter 3. You can turn
here and mark this place. Romans chapter 3, the doctrine
of what man is. God's Word teaches us about us. What is man? I'll tell you what
he is from God's Word. He's a totally depraved, helpless creature. By totally
depraved, I mean he's He can't do anything but sin, except if God prevents him from
it or constrains him to do otherwise. Man is totally depraved. Romans
3, let's look at what God's Word says. Verse 10, as it is written,
he's quoting from Psalm 14. This is God's Word, right? Verse
10 says, There is none righteous. No, not one. Read on. There is none that understandeth. How many are there that understand?
None. There is none, verse 11, that
seeketh after God. How many? Verse 12, what about mankind? They're all gone out of the way. They are together. Put them all
together, become unprofitable. There is none that doeth good. No, not one. That's what the scripture said.
That's the doctrine. That's the teaching. of mankind,
is it not? All error starts there from a
wrong understanding, from unbelief. All error about God and everything,
it starts right there. What happened to the man in the
garden? Does he still retain God's image? Therefore, God must
save him. There's something savable about
it. There's something lovable about him that God must save
him. No, there's none righteous, not one. They're all together. If you put the whole lump of
planet Earth, all the people together, unprofitable. God doesn't
need them. God can't use them. Is that what
they said? That's the doctrine from God's
Word of what man is. All right, look at the next thing.
Now, keep that Romans chapter 3. He says here, it's possible
for doctrine, for doctrine, for reproof, for reproof. Would you turn with me to Psalm
50? Psalm 50. Turn over there. Reproof. You
know, the first thing that God's Word does to us is reprove
us. If a person really hears from
God Almighty, from the Word of God, the first thing it will
do is reprove you. It won't prove you, I mean, it
won't back up what you already thought, but it will reprove
you, that is, rebuke you. It will reprove you for all your
ignorance up to this point. it will reprove. The first thing
God's word does is reprove us for our ignorance. Scripture
says, Let God be true in every man. A liar. A liar. Whatever anyone says
outside of God's word is a liar. Psalm 50, verse 21. The Lord said, These things hast
thou done, and I kept silence. that I was altogether such and
one as thyself." He's talking to mankind. He says, you thought
I was like you. Altogether, like a man. But I
will reprove thee. See that? The first thing we
learn when we hear from God's Word is that God's not like a
man. And we all come with that notion.
We all come have a preconceived notion that God is something
like us, because God created man in his own image, therefore
we think God is something like man, that God thinks something
like we think and reacts and so forth and does things, wants
and wishes and so forth. Well, God said, I'm going to
reprove you. The first thing that God's Word does is reprove
us. It reproves us. God is not like
a man. Scripture says his ways are past
finding out. His ways are past finding out.
He's not subject to man's finite reasoning. You can't even reason some things
in God's Word, most things. You can't reason it by our logic. You can't do it. God simply does
things. Because that's the way God did
it. It's not subject to our reason or our logic. He said, I will
reprove that you're all wrong. Whatever you thought about me
was all wrong. I'm going to reprove you. And
the next thing he says in our text, he says it's profitable
for correction. Correction. Now, God doesn't reprove everybody,
does he? Some people go on in their ignorance. Some people go on in their preconceived
notions. Some people go on in their error. But those whom God sends the
word to, he reproves them. He teaches them, and he reproves
them. And everyone he reproves, he
corrects. He corrects. My teacher, you
young people that go to school, if you have a good teacher, what
she'll do is she'll take your paper and with a red pen and
mark it everywhere it's wrong, right? She's reproved you. She's
reproved you. If she's a real good teacher,
she'll correct it. She'll put in the correct answer
and she'll take you aside and show you and work with you and
tell you where you're wrong. And you'll correct it. I recently took a test in my
Spanish class, and that class is getting tougher and tougher.
I got a huge test coming up Tuesday, and I don't know how I'm going
to do with it. But I took one test, and I didn't
want to show it to my daughter. I was ashamed to show it to her.
I didn't do too well. Man, it was red all over. But
my good teacher, she's a good teacher. She worked with me and
showed me where I was wrong. She corrected me. So it is with
God Almighty and his people, his children. They shall all
be taught of God. They're reproved. You're all
wrong. Everything you thought was wrong.
Now, he said, I'm going to correct you. I'm going to teach you what's
right. This is the next thing he says.
The next thing he says is, for instruction in righteousness. All scripture given by inspiration
of God is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction, for teaching in righteousness. Now, this is
the next teaching. He teaches us who he is, God,
what man is, and now, the teaching of all teachings. Percy, tell
us you're all wrong, everything you thought before was wrong
about me, about yourself. That proves it. Now I'm going
to correct you, and I'm going to teach you righteousness. Righteousness. Turn back to Romans 3. I told
you to keep that, Romans 3. And folks, you rarely hear this
word today, do you? I ask you, honestly. Do you ever hear the word righteousness
from preachers' mouths today? Do you ever hear it? You might
very, very rarely hear it, but it will be erroneously used. It will be talking about our
righteousness. But this is over 500 times in
Scripture. 500 times. God Almighty teaches all His
children righteousness. Righteousness, or instruction
in righteousness. God is righteous. The righteous
Lord loveth righteousness, the psalm says, and hateth iniquity. And we're all unrighteous. Didn't he say that none righteous? No, not one. For the righteous
Lord loveth righteousness. His character won't allow him
to love anything that's not righteous. But we're unrighteous. I'm making this as plain as I
can. It's not that you don't know
these things. Someone told me the other day,
the simpler you make it, the better I like it. All right,
God instructs his people. Not everyone. Most are ignorant of God's righteousness. Going about to establish their
own. And have not submitted to God's
righteousness. That's Romans 10. But God instructs
all his people in righteousness. When they first hear it, they
think, what's this big word? What's the use? What is this
all about? I hear these preachers all the
time talking about righteousness and that imputed. We have Romans
chapter 3. Romans chapter 3. God Almighty
wrote a whole book, a book of Romans. Well, you could really
say the whole Bible is about God's imputed righteousness. Romans 3, this word, this doctrine,
this is a doctrine of God's righteousness, is a key to understanding salvation.
Yes, it is. It's a key. Key word. Key word. Romans 3, verse 10, we already
read that. There's none righteous, no, not
one. All right? Verse 21 says, or verse 20, said,
By the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified in God's
sight. That is, no one is going to be exonerated. No one is going to
be declared innocent, holy, righteous, accepted by what they do. Anything. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter
how good it is. No matter what they start doing,
it doesn't matter. No flesh justified by the law,
keeping of the law. No. But now, verse 21, but now,
the righteousness of God, that is, the holiness of God, the
acceptance with God, the righteousness of God, complete justification,
without the law. that is, without us keeping the
law, is manifested, that is, made
clear. It's revealed to us. Read on. Being witnessed by the law. You
say, wait a minute, hold on, preacher, I'm a little confused.
The righteousness of God without the law is witnessed by the law
and the prophet. What do you mean by that? When
God Almighty sent the law through Moses, the moral law, the Ten
Commandments, ceremonial, whatever, thou shalt not. Did God write
that in order for us, if we'll keep it, then we'll go to heaven? Did God write the law, if you'll
have me as your only God, if you'll remember the Sabbath,
if you won't kill and steal and all that. If you do all that,
you can come to heaven and I'll accept you. Is that why God wrote
the law? No, sir. No, sir. God wrote that to show
us what sinners we are. To show us. Paul said in Romans,
another place, he said, I used to think I was righteous until
the law, until God really showed me what the law said. that I'm
guilty of breaking all the law, because God looks on the heart. You've got to be perfect in thought,
word, and deed. Our real man is our inward man.
It's not this body. This is the building. It's the
person that lives there is the real person. That person's got
to be holy, not just the shell. All right? Well, the scripture
says we're full of extortion, and excess, and envy, and hatred,
and malice. And if you know yourself, you
know it's true. Unrighteous. Unrighteous, no, not one. Unrighteous. And so the law tells us, the
law was written, that sin might appear exceedingly sinful, show
up for what God requires, for holiness. And we can't, that's
not us, is it? But now, he says, this righteousness
of God without us keeping the law, a righteousness which God
Almighty will accept, a righteousness which we can have without keeping
the law, is witnessed by the law and the prophet. See if I can make this clear.
Moses, the law of the Passover, the law of the Old Testament
worship, all those ceremonial laws, God told them to keep it
perfect. He said it shall be perfect to
be accepted. Don't mess up in one area or
I won't accept the sacrifice of the atonement. It must be
perfect. Every single jot and till must
be perfect. What if somebody messed up? What
if the priest had forgot something one day? Well, it is witnessed
by the law and the prophets that it shall be perfect to be accepted. And Moses, God Almighty told
Moses to institute all that as a picture, as a type. of someone who would keep that
law. Perfect. All the laws. Now look at the next verse. Witness by the law and the prophets,
even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ. In other words, there's none
righteous, no, not one. None who understandeth, no, not
one. There's none that seeketh God.
There's none holy. Outwardly and inwardly, oh no,
wait a minute. There was one. Just one. The Lord Jesus Christ. There
was one. He's called the righteous one.
He's called the holy one of Israel. The holy one of his people. He's
called the righteous servant. God said in the Psalms, he said,
I'm well pleased for his righteousness sake. God said it out loud from
heaven, that's my son, I'm well pleased. He's righteous. Here's a man who's holy like
I demand a man to be, inwardly and outwardly. He's righteous,
totally righteous inwardly. God loves righteousness. He loves his son, his righteousness. Well, how can we have that? Look
on, read on. He said it's upon, verse 22,
all them that believe. It's upon all them that believe.
This righteousness of Jesus Christ, this perfect life, is upon them
that believe. What do you mean upon them? It's
put upon them. They are robed with it. They
are covered with it. That prodigal son, he wasted
his substance and riotous living, and the father brought him back,
and he came back to the Father, and the first thing the Father
said was, bring the best robe and put it on him. The young man was dressed in
rags. He was filthy. And the Father said, put it on
him. Don't ask him if he wants it.
Put it on him. Row him in this robe. Cover up
those rags. That's a picture of Christ's
imputed righteousness. It's upon all them that believe. Simply believe. And he wrote
the whole next chapter of Romans 4 about Abraham, a man who lived
before the law was ever given. The whole fourth chapter of Romans
is about a man named Abraham who lived 400 years before the
law was given. But yet it says he was righteous. Why? How? God, and it was countered
unto him for the righteous. Believe what? Well, ask old Abraham. He went up to a mountain one
day, and God told him to kill his son. He didn't have any idea
why God was telling him to kill his son. Another time, God was going to
kill everybody inside of him, and Abraham couldn't understand
it. Why would you kill everybody? Would you kill the righteous?
But there ain't none righteous, Abraham, and none of them deserve
to live, including Lot. Is that right? God, by His mercy, did spare
that one. And Abraham, all he could conclude
was the judge of all the earth will do right. He took his boy up on that mountain
one day to kill him. He had already killed him before
he went there. He was as good as dead in his eyesight. God
knows what he's doing. Took him up on that mountain,
and God in mercy and grace spared his son by a ram caught in a
thicket, a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ, innocent. Took
the place of the guilty, and walking down that mountain, Abraham
understood a little bit about the substitute of God. the righteousness
of God, and that God would come some day and take his place,
the righteous for the unrighteous, and spare him. And Abraham believed
God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. And so
it is with us. So it is with us. Counted righteous. Go back to the text. I must hurry. So God's Word teaches us, instructs
us in righteousness. God instructs us in righteousness. Righteousness doesn't come by
the law. Righteousness doesn't come by our works. God doesn't
accept us for what we do. God Almighty only accepts us
for what his Son did for us. That's the righteousness of God. That means it came from him,
it's the only one he accepts, and it's imputed or charged to
all who believe. by his grace. They believe by
his grace. Verse 17 says, Now this is all
that the man of God made be perfect, truly furnished unto all good
work. The man of God. Who's it written to? Who's going to be perfect? The man of God. The person of
God. The woman of God. The person
whom God chooses to manifest this to. Right? The one who is
taught by God, that the man of God, the young person, chosen
by God, may be perfect. The word perfect means complete.
Complete in their understanding, in their knowledge, their understanding. And it says they're thoroughly
furnished unto all good works. Furnished unto all good work.
God's word teaches his people good work. The doctrine of good
work. Yes, he does. He makes it very
clear at the outset that you're not accepted for your good work.
He makes it clear at the outset that your works have nothing
to do with your salvation, that your work proves your salvation. They declare that you have God
created us in Christ Jesus and two good works, he said in Ephesians
2.10. And he said, herein is the Father
glorified. You see, God Almighty is glorified by taking an old
devil and making a saint out of him. God Almighty is glorified
by taking a prodigal son and making him a humble, loving,
submissive, obedient son that stays home. That stays home from
then on. And doesn't want to venture out
of the house. Helen, do you think the prodigal, he didn't want
to leave home for a long time, did he? And boy, if he ever left, he
wanted to get back with it. Didn't know how to get in. So
it's furnished unto all good works. And I want to just show
you this. Read on down. We read this. So
Paul charges this young preacher, Timothy. This is a charge to
every preacher, including me, if I'm a true preacher. And he's listening to the preaching.
The judge had quickened the dead at his peering. Preach the word.
Preach the word. God's word. I've never in my
life, well, by God's grace, gotten a message from some quarterly
or some whatever. some article or whatever. I seek
it all from this book right here. Preach the word. Line upon line. Precept upon precept. Hear little,
bear little. Be instant, he said. That means
be consistent. Always be about it, doing it. In season, out of season. It's out of season now. It's
out of season. This is the season of great emotion
and wildfire and so forth, but you just keep preaching the word.
This is not a very dynamic message, is it? Not very exciting, is it? I have
raised my voice one time. I have moved from behind this
pulpit one time. It's not a very powerful message.
Oh, you just wait a minute. Where is the power? Is it in my presentation of Is
it in my excitement, your excitement upon hearing it? No, sir. God
Almighty can take one word in a still, small voice and bring salvation. The word
of God is his power. That's his power. So he says,
you in season, out of season, reprove. I try to stay away from
personal reproofs of people, although I'd like to give some
sometimes. I'd like to give somebody a spiritual slap in the face
and tell them, listen, you're in bad shape. But I wait for
the word to do it. I know it's the only thing that
will. Approve them. Rebuke. People
won't receive rebukes one-on-one. But if God's pleased to rebuke,
they'll be rebuked. And they'll repent. And exhort.
Exhort. Oh, it needs to be as much exhortation,
that is, encouragement, as rebuke, doesn't it? With all longsuffering.
Do it with longsuffering. Lord, give me more. It keeps saying that, doesn't
it? Timothy preached doctrine. Time will come when they won't
endure sound doctrine. Where'd you get that strange
doctrine? I got it from the Bible. If you'd
been reading it, you'd know. Time will come when they won't
endure sound doctrine, but will turn away their ears, he said,
from the truth. I don't like that. And be turned
unto fables. You keep preaching doctrine.
How many times have you heard the doctrine of God's Son, Henry
Solomon? You haven't been here longer than anybody. This is
for you to hear with you in the beginning. How many times have
you heard it? For thirty years. Doctrine. Same old, same old. God suffered. Man's to pray. Christ's righteous. Remember,
if you're here another thirty years, that'll make you a hundred
and three more. By God's grace, I want to preach
it. I want to preach it. Keep preaching
it. Doctrine. That's what God tells
me to do. God's Word. It's all His Word. I'm Paul. God's Word. for singing clothing. Clothing? Sing about that clothing. Number
175. Sing about that clothing. In
closing, 175. Standing on the promises of Christ
my Okay, we'll sing the first two verses, 175. Let's start.
Standing on the promises of Christ my King, Three eternal angels
let His praises ring. Glory in the highest, I was trapped
and saved, Standing on the promises of God. Spending on the promises of God
my Saviour. Spending, spending. I'm spending on the promises of God. Second
is the last. Spending on the promises that cannot fail. When the heavens form to bow and we
turn and fail. God will be my comforter. Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God. Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God. so so oh um um Thank you very much.
