You may be seated. You may be seated. Thank you, Jerry. Carry with me, first of all,
to 2 Corinthians 13. 2 Corinthians 13. I want you to look at two verses
with me, and then we'll dwell in Hebrews 11. 2 Corinthians
13, a very sobering and hopefully
thought-provoking verse. 2 Corinthians 13, verses
5 and 6, he says, examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith. Are you with me? Examine yourselves,
whether you be in the faith. Prove your own selves. In other words, don't worry about
anyone else. Know ye not, your own says. Know
ye not, John said, hereby we may know. Know ye not, your own says, how
that Jesus Christ is in you, unless, or that is, except you
be reprobate, totally deluded. But, verse 6, I trust, I hope,
I pray. that you shall know that you are not reprobate. And
that's my hope for this message, folks. That's my hope for you
and me both, that we will examine ourselves through this message,
whether we're in the faith. Do we have this faith that we
read about, this saving faith? And I hope and trust that we'll
know that we're not reprobates. Examine yourselves in the course
of this message. Now, go back to Hebrews 11. I
want you to ask yourselves, do I have this faith? Is this my
heart's faith? Faith is in the heart. With the
heart, man, believe it. Hebrews 11 is the chapter of
faith in the scriptures. Nearly every verse mentions the
word faith. That's the subject. Now, faith. God says much about faith in
his word. Throughout God's word, faith
is mentioned often. It says without faith, it's impossible
to please God. Without faith. It says we're
justified by faith. God says we walk by faith. We
live by faith. It says that we understand. Through
faith, we understand. Faith is understanding. We're
kept through faith, kept by the power of God through faith. Faith
is mentioned often. And many examples here in this
chapter 11, which we read many of, were going to—and all of
them had the same faith. They all had the same faith. And even now, all those who have
Faith, the faith, it's the faith of God's elect. It's the same
faith. We believe the exact same thing. Or rather, one. That Abel, Enoch, and so forth.
Abraham, Sarah, Isaac. But we're going to look at someone
else. We're going to look at Moses. We're going to look at
Moses. And I want you to examine yourself. I want to examine myself to see
if I have this faith of Moses. It's the very same thing. Faith
which does what Moses did, says what Moses said, felt how Moses
felt, believed what Moses believed. Examine yourself, okay? What
is faith? Well, the word faith simply means
belief, doesn't it? It's called faith because You
believe something or someone that you haven't really seen
yet, or you haven't experienced yet, or that is, you haven't
laid hold on it yet. You don't actually have it or
them in your sight and in your possession. That's why it's called
faith, you see. We live by faith, not sight.
We walk by faith, looking for that blessed hope. It's called
hope because we don't actually, we're not there yet. Do you understand why it's called
faith? And it's belief, all right? Four things we're going to look
at concerning Moses. Four things. Look at verse, let's
read, verse 24. By faith, Moses. By faith, Moses. In other words,
Moses believed. We're going to look, first of
all, at what Moses believed. Secondly, what Moses rejected. Because if you really believe
something in your heart, you must reject something else. If
you're going to serve one master, you're going to believe one thing. And all else is rejected. Moses'
rejection or refusal, Moses' choice, Moses' choice, and Moses' confession. All right? All right, Moses'
belief. All right, Moses had this faith
that the Scripture speaks so much of. Where'd he get it? That's the first thing we need
to decide and understand. Where did he get it? Ephesians
1 verse 19 says, Those of you who believe, you believe according
to the working of his mighty power. Those who truly believe
God. That's the first point of true
faith. Believe God. Those who do, flesh and blood
didn't reveal God to them. flesh and blood, they didn't
up and decide one day to believe God. It's not an act of the human
will. It's not in the power of a decision. Moses didn't up and decide to
believe God. We're going to see that. But
it's a working of his mighty power. It's God Almighty giving
a mind and a heart to believe. It's God Almighty giving a mind
and a heart To refuse what it normally would not refuse. What
flesh, no way flesh could refuse what Moses refused. Except by
the grace of God. And neither will we. It's God
Almighty working, giving a mind and a heart to choose. To choose and to confess. Faith
is the gift of God. It's the act of God, it's the
work of God upon certain human beings, not all. All right, Moses'
belief. Look at verse 6 here in that
same chapter. Moses' faith. What did he believe? Verse 6 says, Without faith it
is impossible to please him that is God. For he that cometh to
God must believe that he is. Very simple, really. Faith is
believing God is, not that God exists. Everybody says that. I believe there's a God. Do you now? Moses believed God
is God. Most believe in a God of their
own conception, one who they allow to be God. That's not believing
God. That's not believing God is.
God is God. Go back to the story of Moses,
all right? Exodus chapter 3. Exodus chapter 3 is the story
of Moses receiving this faith. Exodus 3. And it's the same with
all of God's people. We receive, we're saved the exact
same way as Moses. Oh yeah. I've never. He doesn't
save different ways, he saves everyone the same exact way,
through faith. By grace you save through faith,
and that's not of yourself. It's a gift of God. Exodus 3,
verses 1 and 2, Moses kept the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law,
a priest of Midian. Moses was a heathen, Moses was
a forty-year-old man, Moses was a shepherd, Moses dwelled amongst
heathen people. There may have been religion,
but they didn't know the God of the Bible. And he led the flock to the backside
of the desert and came to the mountain of God, came to Horeb,
had to get there. Was he seeking God? He didn't
even know God. He wasn't looking for God, he
was leading sheep, and he just happened upon this mountain. He was looking for grass to feed
his sheep. And here's this Mount Horeb,
and he came to the foot of this nice green grass mountain, Mount
Horeb. That's where God brought him.
God Almighty brought him there. Why? Because he's going to hear
from God. God's calling him to himself to reveal himself to
him. Verse 4 says, When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see,
there was a bush burning in the mountain, and he was just curious.
He came out of curiosity. Does that sound familiar? Maybe
you came to church with somebody. Because it was Easter, Christmas,
and you were just curious, maybe. People seek churches all the
time, looking for a church. That's not seeking God. Well,
they came, he came, looking for greener grass, looking for greener
pastures. God was seeking him, seeking
him out. When Moses saw this bush burning,
And it says, verse 4, God called unto him out of the midst of
the bush. The first thing that Moses saw
and heard was a God who is a consuming fire. And he didn't see God, but he
heard him, didn't he? That faith comes out by hearing. Hearing what? Cute, clever stories, morals.
The Word of God. God spoke, God called him by
his Word. You're called, Paul said in 2
Thessalonians, by our gospel. Peter said, The Word of God which
liveth and abideth forever, which by the gospel is preached unto
you. God brought you to this place, or someplace where the
gospel is. You didn't know God, weren't
seeking God. But he chose you and brought you just like he
did Moses, and the first thing you heard from God was God's
Word speaking to you as a consuming fire, burning away all the dross,
burning away all your former notions, burning away all your
past religion, burning it all up. The only thing left is you
and God, face-to-face with the God of
the Bible. God, the God of Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob. That's what he said to him. I'm
the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, verse 6. I'm the God of
the Bible. Not the God that you think he
is. Not the God of the Muslims. I'm the God of God the Father,
the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. What did Moses do? What was Moses' reaction? What
does faith do when it first hears from God? What is true faith? Fear, the fear of the Lord. He hid his face. He didn't say,
I've decided to accept you. He was afraid. He'd come face-to-face
with or heard the voice of the true and living God. He hadn't let God be God. God is
right there letting him know he's God, letting him. God's revealing himself to him,
and this is what God does to every single one he chooses. He calls them, he brings them
to where the gospel is. He chooses them, he calls them
by this gospel, and the first thing they find out is, God is
God! And I ought to be concerned in
his holy presence, and I fear him. I fear him. God's not my buddy,
God's not my co-pilot, God's not my parent. He's my sovereign,
He's my king, He's my creator. I'm in His hands to do with as
He pleases. That's the first God we come
to know and understand. That's faith. He that cometh
to God, Moses came to God. Must believe He is. Did Moses
believe this God is God? Yes, he did. on his face in the
dust. God said, take your shoes off.
This is holy ground. We aren't playing games here.
This is serious business. This is holy business. This is
not religion. This is worship of the living
and true God. That's what God reveals to all
of his people. Who chose who? Who made the decision here? Who
called who? Who drew who? Who spoke to who? Who did the saving here? Who
did the revealing? Who did the teaching? Who did
the talking? God did. This is faith. Anything less,
anything more, is not the faith of God's elect. These are the
examples God gives us in Scripture. By faith, Moses. Moses believed
God is God. I am that I am. Moses said, well, who am I going
to say that sent me? God told him, I'm going to send
you. He said, who am I going to say? He said, I am that I
am. God didn't say, well, I'm like
a can of Coke, or I'm like a Hallmark car, or I'm like your mother.
Who shall you compare me, he said. There's nothing in no one
like me, nothing so high as I am, nothing so holy as I am. Nothing's
to be feared like me. There is no other. Tell them
I am. What's your God like? He is.
What? He is. And because he is, you
are. This generation knows nothing
of the God who is, who I am. You know, we never can say that. Human beings always have to qualify
themselves by some way. I am a man, I am a woman, I am
short, I am tall, I am this, I am that. You don't go up to
someone and say, Bill, yes, I am. What? They look at you like you're
crazy. What do you mean? You are what?
I am. We have to qualify ourselves,
because we're limited. We have limited qualifications. I'm short, I'm old, I'm bald,
I'm fat, I'm skinny, I'm a man, I'm a woman, I'm... God says, I am. That I am. What are you? Infinite. God is
sovereign. We don't know the half of it.
The half has never been told of the sovereignty of God. We
try. God controls the speck of dust
flying in the sunbeam coming through the window. He's predetermined
the path and the destination of every speck of dust. We don't know the half of it.
God is sovereign. This is why he said that. Say,
I am that I am. He's incomprehensible. His way
is past finding out. Folks, I can't stand up here
and try to declare God. I can't do it. We can't tell
others about it. What is this faith? It's believing
God is incomprehensible, God is unfathomable, God is past
finding out, that God is infinitely greater than I am. What is it? He is that he is. Not what we
think he is, not what we let him be. I am that I am. Are you getting a hold of that?
This is the faith. I've got to hurry. I've got to
go on. I love what Charles Spurgeon
said one time. He said, I don't want a God that
I can understand. That means he's finite like me. I need a God who's so much greater
than I am. He's so much wiser. He's actually
in control. That's the God I need. Some heathen person one time
said, if we didn't have a God, we'd have to invent one. We need
one. God who's God, somebody's got
to be controlling the whole thing, or it's out of control. This
world looks like it's out of control, doesn't it? If I didn't
believe God is, I'd take my family and run to a cave. I'd do like
some of these fellas, get me guns and food and so forth, and run
to a cave. But no, God is. God is. Moses believed God. Moses believed
God's Word. Moses believed God is. Moses
believed God's Word. From the next four books, Exodus,
Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, God is speaking to Moses, giving
him symbols and types and ceremonies, the tabernacle, laws, mandates,
judgments, institutions, four books full of his word. Not one time, not one time did
Moses ever say, I don't believe that, or I don't like that, or
I don't understand it, so I don't believe it. Oh no, the faith
of God's elect, Moses' faith, whatever God said, Moses said.
I don't understand what you're doing here. I don't understand
this. Moses never said die, ever. Whatever God said, Moses believed. You understand? Sure you do. Those who believe, they believe God's word. There's
nothing. And I've asked you this question.
I want to examine yourself. Is there one verse of Scripture
in all of God's Word you don't like? That you wish wasn't in
there? No. Believers, believe. It's God's
precious Holy Word. David said, I esteem all things,
all thy precepts concerning all things to be right. Now, the unbeliever doesn't like
certain things, argues certain things, gamesayers, arguers,
questioners, provers, testers, offended. Not believers. Nothing God says offends me. One time Christ was speaking.
One time he was speaking, a long time, John 6. He said after he
finished speaking, They all left him. One more witness said, This
is hard saying. That's what they all said. This
is hard saying. Oh, what you're saying is hard.
We can't abide this. We don't like this. And they
left. And there's only twelve of them
standing there. And he said, There's a door. Will you also go away? Peter, who believed, who believed
this is God standing there, God manifest in the flesh. This is
my God, like Thomas said, my Lord and my God. Peter said,
to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of life. We were dead before you called
us. We were injured before you taught us. We were blind before
you gave us eyes. We were deaf before you gave
us ears. We were on the guard road that
leads to destruction until you called us by your grace, until
you got the hold of them, until you sat on us and rode us. Tell her, where are we going
to go now? This is life to me. You say that? Every believer
says, this is not religion, this is not going to church, this
is life. A man lives by the Word of God. Moses and Azariah eat, drink,
and sleep the Word of God the rest of his life. No continuing
sinning. Now, what'd God say? What'd He say? Consulting His
Word. Doing His Word. Believe God's
Word. Moses believed Christ. Moses
believed Christ. It says, look at verse 28 in
our text, Hebrews 11, verse 28. Why did I get so excited? Because we live by faith. We're justified by faith. We
must die in faith. Not doctrine. It's faith. We live by faith. It's a living
thing. Peter didn't say, you have good
doctrine. I believe in all your teaching. He said, this is words
of life. You're speaking heart language
to me. You're speaking the language of my heart. This is what I live
on. This is how I'm going to continue
to live. Words of life. Get a hold of that. This is words
of life here. I'm a dead man without death.
I would have killed myself. It's a miracle I didn't kill
myself. A miracle of God's restraining
grace. I don't believe in the restraining
grace of God. I believe God who restrained
me. There's a difference in a doctrine
and a person. I was a dead man. I can recount
countless. I can recount countless. I can
recall several instances where I should have killed myself by
my foolishness. But God, but God. Moses believed Christ. Look at
verse twenty-eight. It says, Through faith he kept
the Passover. Do you think he knew what the
Passover was? You know he did. Yes, he did.
Our Lord said, Moses wrote of me. Didn't he? Didn't Christ
say that? Moses wrote of me. Did Moses know what this Passover
was? Sure he did. God teaches every
one of his people. It's not by the blood of lambs
and bullocks and turtledoves and goats. The blood of animals
can't put away one sin and one human being. Oh, no. But the blood of God's Lamb,
the blood of God's Christ, the blood of God's Messiah, precious
blood, you know you're not redeemed with corruptible things such
as silver and gold from your vain life, religion, tradition
and all that. But with the precious blood of
the Lamb, God's Lamb. Did Abraham know that before
Moses? Sure he did. Coming down off
that Mount Moriah. Oh my, he just laid hold on a
ram and killed it, and his son's dead, and they're both walking
down the mountain, arm in arm, and said, Christ lives! I know
my Redeemer lives! Long before Abraham said that,
Job said it! Job said it! I know my Redeemer
lives! He's a person. That's who redeems
me. That's all my hope. Moses believed
Christ. Kept the Passover. when they
were sitting in that house and hearing those horrible screams
and cries and the overflowing scourge of God's wrath is destroying
people, and it didn't come nigh them as according to the word
of God. God said, if I see the blood, I'll pass over you. A
blood of a lamb can't spare the wrath of God. That can't appease
a holy God. But Moses is telling his household,
this represents God's Son, God's Christ, whatever his name is
going to be. Emanuel, I know that, that he
is going to come and bear our iniquities, just like God told
our father Adam in the garden of this woman's seed, whom the
serpent shall bruise. Just as God showed us in the
garden in our father Adam, he slew that lamb and covered the
nakedness of our guilty forefathers. Trust Christ, the blood of Christ. Very unselfish. That's what Moses
believed. He didn't trust those ordinances
and all that that God gave him. He trusted Christ. He saw Christ
in all that. Well, Moses believed. How about
you? How about you? Examine yourself. Who did God
to God? You believe God's Word. You believe
that all your salvation is in the person of Jesus Christ. Look
at Moses' refusal. In our text, verse 11, it says
in verse 24, "...by faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused
to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter." Now, Moses, you know the story. the order to kill all the firstborn
of the Israelites, the Jews, you remember. And Moses' mother
hid him in an ark, stuck him in the bulrushes, a little pavilion. And Pharaoh's daughter! My pastor
brought this wonderful example to my attention, how God Almighty
in his sovereignty, He's going to kill all the firstborn
to make sure he does away with the king. We got rid of those so-called
deliverers, didn't we, Moses? It ain't going to be no deliverance
for Jews, Moses. It isn't a bar. I don't know, Dad, I guess not. God laughs at man. He that sitteth
in the heavens shall laugh. The Lord shall have them in derision. Well, you know the story. He
was raised up in Pharaoh's house. That means he had all the niceties,
all the luxuries, all the career. He was going to be Pharaoh, Pharaoh's
son. He was going to be the king in
Egypt, the equivalent of the President of the United States.
You've got Egypt back then, and the name of the chief city was
Ramses, named after a Pharaoh. That's what men do. They name
their chief cities after some great leader. Ramses in Egypt, that's where
they were. The center of the world, not
Rome, was the center of the world in the New Testament days, and
now America, Washington. Egypt is always in Scripture.
Egypt has always represented Ramah, Ramsey, Ramah. Egypt has
always represented a civilized, cultured, educated, modern world. Man at his best state. Egypt. You had all these little third-world
countries, and then you had Egypt. Most civilized people, accultured
people. Arts, crafts, psychologies, astronomies,
just you name it. You go there and enlighten yourself. Moses, and riches beyond, riches
of Egypt, riches beyond measure. You know something about the
history of Egypt and all those things. People, it was not some
ignorant, uncivilized civilization at all. It was a
complex, complex civilization with plumbing and Yes, they had
the niceties, all the niceties that we have, except electricity, which really started a mess,
didn't it? But Egypt, with all of its glamour and glitter and
politics and philosophies and fashions and religion, it's full
of religion, pick one. refused it all. Moses refused it all. He rejected
it all. He rejected it all. Our Lord
said this about his people. Listen to him. Egypt represents
the world, the world, all of its thoughts, all of its philosophies,
all of its pursuits, all of its careers, all of its riches and
glamour and fame and fortune in the world. Our God said of
his disciples in John 17, he said, they are not of this world
as I know of this world. They are not of it. What did
Moses have to look forward to? Brother Sam, he could have had
the finest palace and he was on the throne of Egypt. He could
have had how many chariots? Why, he could go anywhere and
buy his finest chariot and horses to pull it, clothes, food, the
latest gadgets. He could have it all. Women,
wine, women, song, palaces, girl of riches, popular fortune, fame. This is what men will die for,
fame. You couldn't get any higher,
Barbara, than Pharaoh. Moses was going to be the highest
man, the chief office in the world. I don't want it. I don't want that. Do you see how that this is the
working of God's power? Huh? There's no human being on
earth that would refuse all that. No one. No one would refuse that,
except by the grace of God. By grace, you say, through faith,
and it is not of your self. See, faith refuses this world. Our faith, we have, God giveth
us all things richly to enjoy, the scripture said, using it,
done the music. Faith, true faith, like Moses,
looks on the things of this world, its fame, its fortunes, and sees
its fleeting, its finite, its deceitful, it promises things
that it can't give. If I get that, I'll be happy.
Or if I get that, I move whatever, boy, I'll be happy now, until
the first scratch gets on it. Boy, if I can just have a promise. Deceitfulness of riches. Fame. Oh, boy. Ask a politician. Ask the average politician, how
long, how lasting is fame? I thought about, and I'm not
making light of it all, but this is true. One of the greatest
presidents this country has known in our times was Ronald Reagan. Do you remember Ronald Reagan?
Barely. But he served two straight terms,
eight years in the White House, and had a greater impact on this
modern world, perhaps than any president in the last 50 years. He doesn't even know his name
right now. He doesn't know anybody or anything. He has no mind. He has Alzheimer's. In the beginning stages of that,
Gladys, in the beginning stages, the true story, in the beginning
stages there was a little model of the White House on his desk.
And he picked that up, and it says that he looked at it and
said, I think this has something to do with me, but I don't know
what it is. It's fleeting. It's fleeting. It's all fleeting. Moses refused it. I don't need
all that. I don't need all that. I sure need to know God, though.
I sure need eternal life, though. Say, you refused to be called. Do you refuse this world's thoughts
and opinions and ways? Come on, examine yourself. Do you esteem this world as God
esteems it? You know, God is going to burn
it up. God's going to burn it up. He says, it's a stench in
my nostril. It's just full of iniquity. Me
included. Is that the way you think about
this world? All your hopes and ambitions
in this, faith says, and I'll use this
and thank God for it, but this is not my hope. This is not my
life. This is not my life. And these
are not my people. These people that hate my God.
These people don't give any thanks to my God. My God who has been
so abundantly gracious and merciful and kind to me, who loved me
and gave himself for me. They don't have any thoughts
of him, not thankful as they ought to be. Worship the creature
more than the Creator. Oh, God's people are my people.
That's what Moses' choice was. Verse 24 and 25, Moses refused
to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter. them," verse 25, "...choosing
rather to suffer affliction with the people of God." The people
of God, these are my people. Moses had some friends. He had some friends in Egypt.
Why, everybody was his friend, and they are when you've got
a lot of stuff. Well, if you've got a lot of stuff, you can have
lots of friends. Everybody liked Come around and
bite you over. Yeah, they will. God in mercy opened his eyes
to see. They're just getting something
out of you, Moses. They're not friends. They're
not going to stick to you. You watch. Moses' choice of God's people
over career, possessions, fame, popularity, choosing the people
of God. All these old thoughts, friends, ways, all passed away.
Boy, I had some bosom buddies, didn't
you? Didn't you have some, what you thought would be lifelong
friends? I had boys that I was raised, literally, from first
grade or earlier on up. I mean, we were just like And God revealed himself to Moses,
and Moses, by God's grace, he said and thought to himself,
I want to walk with God. I want to walk with God's people.
I don't want to die in Egypt. I don't want to die in Egypt
with a big mansion and several chariots and the world's popularity.
I want to know God, the living God. And I want to walk with
him and whoever it is that's walking with him. Their people,
God's people, be my people. And their God, my God. I sound
familiar? Yeah, all of God's people say
that. Take the world, but give me the
Lord Jesus Christ. How about you? Moses' confession,
and I quit with this, all right? Moses' confession. With the heart, listen carefully,
with the heart, man, believe it. He won't refuse what you really
don't believe. He won't choose what you really
don't believe. He won't confess what you really don't believe.
With the mouth, confession is made. Out of the abundance of
the heart, the mouth speaketh. With the mouth, confession is
made. All right? He chose to go with God's people.
He forsook Egypt. And verse 28, it says, Through
faith he kept the Passover. See that? The Passover. All right? God told Moses, I'm going to
pass through and I'm going to kill everybody that's not under
the blood of the firstborn. Remember? How long before it
happened, I don't know. It could have been a while. Moses
believed God. So Moses, according to God's
word, he took the blood. Did Moses believe God? How do
you know he did? God said, when I see the blood,
I'm going to pass it over to you. Put the blood, Moses, put
that blood on that doorpost and the lintel. Put that blood, the
blood of a lamb, put it over the doorpost. Did
Moses believe God? How do you know? He put that
blood over the door, for he got him a lamb for his house. He
cut its throat. Oh, that's so pagan, that's so
barbaric. How could he? Blood. Put out this blood. And he got
him a brush, a broom or something, or hyssop, hyssop, and spread
it all over that door. And here come his Egyptian friends. Oh! What are you doing? God's going to kill the firstborn
around here." I didn't believe that. Oh, come on, Moses. You think you're right and everybody
else is wrong. You really believe that, Moses,
that God's going to kill? Come on. Yeah, I do. Oh, Moses, that's so pathetic. Go on then. put that blood over
that door. And they laughed, and they went
their way. And Moses went in that house
and shut the door. Shut the door. When I see the
blood, I see the blood. That's public confession. See
that? Public confession. He laid a
public display in front of Everybody. God said, put the blood over
the doorpost. When I see the blood, would Moses
have been spared if he hadn't have put that blood? No, sir.
Did that blood save him? No, sir. That's animal blood. That can't
save a flea. It just dry flies. That's just
animal blood. Who saved him? God did. What's the word all about? Christ's
blood, which alone can put away sin, which God must see to pass
over. Moses knew that. That's not going
to put away my sin, but I believe God said, do it, so I'm doing
it, as a picture of Christ. Christ said, he that believeth
and is baptized. Shall be saved. Is that water put away soon? What? It's just water. But he
that believeth is going to get in that water. That's a public
confession. That's the same before all people.
Oh, this water doesn't save, I know that, but I'm trusting
the one who did by his That's the one I believe in, that's
Christ. But the mouth confession is made.
Christ said, just as God said, when I see the blood, I'll pass
it over to you. God said, he that confesses me before men,
I'll confess before the Father. How do you confess him? Right
there. How did Moses confess him? Put the blood over the door.
That didn't save him. But he believed. He didn't question. And it was a privilege. It was
a beautiful picture of Christ. And when it was all over, Moses
said, It's just like God said. Everything is just like God said.
God is true to his word. His people believe him. They
believe him. They confess him. They refuse
this world. How about you? Reject it. Everything about it. How about
you? Reject it? Say, choose God's
people. Yeah, they do. They're my people. And they confess Christ, just
like he said to them. All right, let's sing in closing,
359. 359. My faith looks up to thee, thou Lamb of Calvary. My faith looks up to thee. Stand with me, 359.
