Back to Matthew 15. Matthew 15,
let's read verses 21 and 22 again. Then Jesus went thence, and departed
into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan
came out of the cup and cried unto him, Behold a woman." God's
Word says this often. Behold. Behold. It's telling us to stop and think
about that. Stop and wonder. at this. Behold. Stop and behold. Behold, a woman. Now, what's
so remarkable about this? This woman who came. Well, we're
going to see. This is a remarkable story. A story to behold, a story of
our Lord's remarkable dealings. He deals with this woman remarkably. And she's a remarkable woman.
You're going to behold a woman that you maybe have never beheld
before. Women like this are hard to find.
Hard to find. Her story is rare. Verse 22. Behold, a woman of Canaan came
out of the same coast and cried unto him, to Christ, saying,
Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David. My daughter is
grievously vexed with the devil." What this woman cried unto the
Lord, first thing out of her mouth. Have mercy on me." Women like this are hard to find. What she needed and what she
wanted from the Lord was mercy. This is remarkable. Behold, here's
a woman who's asking for mercy. And she calls Him Lord. Son of
David. That means the Christ. Have mercy
upon me. She's calling for mercy. You know, most folks, very few
people ask for mercy today. I challenge you to listen to
the prayers and the talk, the speech of modern religious people. You don't hear them asking for
mercy. First thing out of her mouth, brother, have mercy on
me. I need mercy. Mercy, what is mercy? And this ought to be foremost
on our minds and in our hearts. What is mercy? It's not getting
what we deserve. It's God sparing us. So have mercy on me. Have mercy
upon me. Compassion upon me. Most make
demands of the Lord today. This woman's asking for mercy.
Behold, here's a woman asking for mercy. And she calls him
Lord. Doesn't call him Jesus. She's
not on a first-name basis with God. She calls him Lord. O Lord, O Sovereign, O Master,
Son of David, Christ. Mediator, God's anointed, the
only one God looks to, the only one God accepts. Have mercy on
me. This is a thing to behold, right?
A woman asking for mercy. A woman and a mother. A religion will have us think
that all mothers are saved anyway, just because they're mothers.
You ever known anybody's mother? Not saved? Huh? Here's a woman, a woman and a
mother, says, I need mercy. You're my Lord. You're my master.
You're my sovereign. And you're my Christ. You're
God's Christ. You're my Christ. You're the
son of day. You're my only hope. Behold, a woman. One woman. This is a certain woman. You
know that? This is one of the elect. Oh, yeah. Our Lord departed
out of the coast, away from all those Pharisees and Sadducees
that we read about, you know, and left there and departed into
the coast of Tyre and Sidon. That's a bad place. Read it sometime. It's like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Bad place. He was looking for one woman.
He made it as though he wasn't. Look at her. She cried, my daughter
is grievously vexed with the devil. She had this one need and she
was crying out and people, we all had the same problem that
she was asked from the Lord about her daughter. We're all grievously
vexed with demons and devils. Yeah, we are. The first man and
woman were, and every other son of Adam is
to, and daughter. Grievously vexed. Not just my
daughter, but myself. Grievously vexed with demons
and devils of this world with sin. Grievously vexed. We need mercy. Look at our Lord's response.
before we dwelt on the daughter being grievous to Vex. Not this
time. We dwell on the woman. Our Lord's
answer, our Lord's response to her was no response at all. She
came and she's crying now, brother Stan. She's crying, oh Lord. She's crying. She's shouting. Her heart is crying. You cry,
it's from her heart. She's from her heart begging
Him, Oh Lord, have mercy on me. It wasn't just a byword like
people say to Daddy, Lord have mercy. May the good Lord have
mercy. It's from her heart, from the
depths of her, so have mercy on my daughter. Her daughter
was in a bad shape. No telling how she was acting,
what she was doing. Have mercy on me. Well, look
at his response. Look at verse 23. He answered
her not a word. Ignored her. He ignored her. Or it appeared that he was. How could he do this? Huh? How could he not answer
her? Why would he ignore her? Huh? I'll tell you why. And it needs
no other reason. A sovereign king doesn't have
to talk to anybody. A sovereign lord doesn't have
to answer anybody. He doesn't answer to anyone. He doesn't have to stop for anybody
or do anything for anyone, right? He's sovereign. Now, an average preacher would
have had him begging her. You know what? An average preacher would have
had Jesus begging that woman to let him have mercy. But the
sovereign Lord just ignores her. He doesn't answer her word. It's the mark of fools, you know,
in Proverbs. It talks about the sacrifice
of fools, or the evidence of a fool is much worse. A fool is known by a multitude
of words. Here's wisdom. He doesn't say a word. He doesn't
say a word. He answers her not a word. Sovereign
Lord, he answered her not a word. Now let me ask you, how would
you feel? Put yourself in this woman's place. You know, you
are in this woman's place. But put yourself in this woman's
place. How would you feel? You were desperate. You came
to the Lord. How do you feel when you cry unto Him and He
doesn't even answer you? He doesn't give you what you
have. How do you feel? There's not a believer in here
who doesn't cry from the heart unto the Lord. Mercy, have mercy
on me. Take care of this problem or
this whatever. Would you help me? And He doesn't
answer you. How do you feel? Now, listen to me now. Listen
to me. To be sure, he heard her. He heard her. David said in the
psalm, Thou, Lord, hearest me. You know that's enough. That's all the assurance we need,
Jeanette, is that the Lord hears us. Now, he's going to grant what
we ask, or not grant, according to his all-wise purpose. That's ordered in all things
and sure is absolutely for the best. Absolutely for the best. Absolutely. For the best. good, not better, but the best. That means it couldn't be better
than the way he's going to do it. And he's going to do it according
to that purpose. And if you just hadn't asked
for it, he'll do it. Do you understand me? Well, he
didn't answer my question. You don't know what you're asking
for. You don't know the ramification. You don't know the repercussion.
You don't know the end. You don't know the goal, the
purpose. He does. He's going to answer it accordingly,
or not answer it. He's going to grant it or not
grant it, according to his wise purpose. Listen to me, O woman
of Canaan. Don't get mad. Don't give up. She didn't. She didn't get mad. She didn't
give up. She bowed. He answered her not a word. He doesn't have to. He's the
Lord. He's the King. He doesn't have
to. Well, let's gang up on God. Let's have a national day of
prayer. He's got to answer us. If all these people, if everybody,
Barnard used to say that, people are ganging up on God. He really
has to answer it. Scripture says we're not heard
for our much speaking. We're not heard because we gather
on the courthouse steps. We're not heard because we even
open our mouths. God looks on the heart. Romans
8 talks about prayers which cannot be uttered. That ain't groanings. Perhaps the best prayer anybody's
ever prayed was like that publican in the temple, having mercy.
That's all he could say, had mercy on me to be sinner. He
sat down. She went to the disciples. The
Lord ignored her. I don't know what he was doing.
He knew what he was doing. He was doing something. He was
talking to someone. He was acting something. He was
thinking. He was doing something. Working out his purpose. He heard
her. He's busy. Oh, he's busy. He's
controlling the universe. He's controlling an ant in South
Africa at that very time. Yeah, uh-huh. And here's this
insignificant dog, we'll see, and it comes up. Why should he
stop what he's doing and answer, huh? Who's this? Lord, hear me. Who are you? But he does what he's doing,
and he ignores her. She runs to the disciple. Now, the Holy
Spirit directed her to come to Christ. God in his sovereign providence
had her in that place at that exact time where Jesus Christ
would be, just like he has you in his saving purpose. He's going
to deal with you like her. He has you where the gospel is,
where you're going to hear what he has to say to her. He has
you there, and the Holy Spirit directed her to call on him for
mercy. And so he does for all of his
people. He directs them to Christ. All right? He didn't answer her
immediately. She didn't get what she was looking
for the first time. So she went to his disciples.
There was nothing wrong with this. There's nothing wrong with
it. The Lord had some true men of
God. He had some true disciples. It
was obvious. And you see, God gave these gifts
to men, gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some
pastors, some teachers, gave gifts to men, men of God, true
men. I know what we said a while ago,
you don't need a man, but I know that. Let me back up a little
bit. You are, we are like the Ethiopian
eunuch. How can we hear except some man
tell us? And God has chosen men. You will
not hear the gospel except through a man. You won't find an example
in the scripture. Well, she went to these men who
were obviously led and instructed by Christ himself. They were
Christ's men. She knew it. Everybody knew it.
So she did a good thing. She went to them. Let me see.
Help me. And look at verse 23. And his
disciples, what did they do? Well, don't fear, woman, I'll
take care of this problem. What you really need to do is,
if you listen very carefully to me, I'll solve this whole
thing. I've got your answer. What did
they do? Look at it, verse 23. They came
back to him. They came to Saul. I can enter into this, people.
I can. You can, too. But people, folks
come to me often asking me advice, and immediately Whenever, whenever
somebody, whenever somebody opens their mouth, say, I want to ask
you a question. I immediately, honestly, I immediately start
silently, Lord, help me. Help me. I don't know the answer. I don't have any wisdom. I've
got problems of my own that I can't take care of. Help me. You give me a word from you for
her. They besought him. Lord, help
us. She's asking us. We can't help
ourselves. We come to you. You see that? That's how you knew these were
true men, Stan. That's how you knew these were
true men of Christ. They went back to Christ. Said, you've
got to take care of her. We can't. And now our Lord says this. Look
at this. I love this. The Lord says this. And I think she was tagging along. She was there. She was with the
disciples. She went to each one of them,
I guess. She went to Matthew and Bartholomew
and just each one of them. Can you help me? They all came
to cry, please. And she's there, she's tagging
along, you know, and our Lord was speaking to his disciples. He's speaking to her. I've seen this, my pastor do
this so many times. He's a master at it. At speaking
to people in the third person. They've done it to me many times.
In a crowd of people, you know, and you're talking to this person.
And there's somebody over here that needs something bad, but
you can't tell them directly, or they'll get mad at you. They'll
say, who do you think you are? You're just a man. So in wisdom,
in prudence, in wisdom, he speaks to somebody and says, there are
some people who think this and think that, and my advice to
them would be, and they're listening, And this
is what our Lord is doing. He's talking to his disciple. Look at it. He's still not talking
to her. Verse 24. He answered and said,
I am not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Think of these three things,
he said. I'm sent. In other words, he came on purpose.
When you send somebody somewhere, you send them to a particular
place and somebody sent them. And you got a particular purpose
in mind, don't you? If you're sent, they can just
show up. But if you're sent, you see that?
That's on purpose, with a purpose. All right? I'm sent to the lost. Number one. I didn't come to
call, he said this many times. I don't come to call the righteous.
I'm not come to call good Christians. I have nothing to say to good
Christians. I'm not come to call the righteous.
I'm not come to call those who just need a little help. I'm
not come to call those who are trying to figure out the law
and can't and doing the best they can, and I'll help them,
you know, the rest of the way." Uh-uh. Lost. You've got to be
lost. I've not come to call the found,
those that found me, I've not come to call those that found
me or found the answers. I've come to call the lost. Is that how you heard the gospel
first? What you'll hear, you know, what you'll hear when you
first hear the gospel is that you're lost, you're not saved.
That's what you'll hear when you first hear the gospel. You'll
hear you're not saved after all. You're lost. My dad, so many stories like
this. My dad held a meeting. Which
one can I bring up? He was holding a meeting in some
place, and the pastor's wife. The pastor's wife. Now, is there
a... Can a woman be a pastor's wife and be lost? Well, don't be ridiculous. The
pastor's wife was over there playing the organ. And this was
after the message. They had just finished preaching
and she was playing the organ and all of a sudden everybody
heard a bad sound, an off key, and she was laying her head on
the keys saying, I'm lost. Very hard to find. Behold! A
woman! She's lost. Hard to find. Oh, it's hard to find somebody
that's not a good Christian. You know, everybody in here is
lost by nature, whether we think so or not. We're lost by nature.
Most people don't think so. He said the lost sheep. And I've come for goats. You know, he has sheep. Christ
is the good shepherd. Well, he's not everybody's shepherd.
There's goats. the sheep, sheep and goats. Didn't the Lord say that? In
the last day, I'm going to gather on my right hand the sheep, on
my left hand the goats. That means there's sheep and
there's goats. That means everybody's not Christ's people, God's people. But there's goats. He said, I
came to call sheep. What does that mean? Elect. He said, all that the Father
giveth me, shall come to me." He said, my father has a sheep.
He gave them to me. I'm the good shepherd. I know
my sheep. How do I know them? God gave
them to me. I counted them all. I counted
the cost to save them. I came to save every one of them.
My sheep, they're going to hear my voice. Goats, but. But, but, but. No, goats, but. Sheep, Now, sheep believe. Sheep elect of the house of Israel. See that? You see what he's saying
there? I'm only come, I'm not come, but to the lost sheep of
the house of Israel. Now he's getting down to very
particular. Jews, lost elect Jews. You mean only Israel's going
to be saved? Right. I don't understand. But wait
a minute. But wait a minute now. Romans 4 says he's not a Jew. Romans 2 says he is not a Jew,
which is one outward. And those people over there living
in Jerusalem, they're not necessarily Jews. They're in the flesh. Yeah, they look like Jews. Well,
Dan, just no more than a person out there, it may look like or
act like a Christian is Christian. See? He said he is a Jew which is
one in man. What is a Jew? How'd they get
started to be Jews? They weren't Jews. They were none of them. Really,
born from Abraham. He's the father. He's the first
Jew. Abraham, where's he from? Egypt. Well, earlier of the Calvary,
Turkey, somewhere over there. Not Gentile. But he was a Jew. God made him one. Now he is not
a Jew which is one outwardly. Neither is he a Christian who's
one outwardly. He is a Jew which is one inwardly.
Circumcision is not flesh. Salvation is not a look and an
act of the flesh. It's a work on the heart. This woman's a Gentile. But no,
she's a Jew. She's a lost sheep of the house
of Israel. You understand? Boy, a lost sheep of the house
of Israel. Israel, the elect. I'm only sent to my lost sheep,
my elect, given me by the Father, and every one of them are Jews,
and every one of them are going to be saved. Nobody else." That's
what she heard, Brother Stan. First, she didn't hear anything.
First, he ignored her. I mean, ignored her. And then
he said, I'm only come for my elect. I'm only come for my elect,
nobody else. I came to save my elect. And you know that's exactly what
everybody in here heard the first time. You know, if you hear the gospel,
this is what you hear, when the Lord deals with you. Now, I believe
that this woman, she heard everything that was being said and done.
She heard, she saw the Lord's absolute, divine, sovereign right
to ignore her. Juanita, she saw this. He ignored her. But he ignored her. And then
he started talking about his elect. That he'll have mercy
on whom he will, and he'll be gracious to whom he will, didn't
he? That's what he was saying to John. All right? Now verse
25 now. What she did. What she did. What's
her reaction to all this? She came and she worshipped him. She didn't get mad. She didn't
say that's not fair. My daughter deserves a chance. God so loved the world. Did she? What'd she do? She came to him
anyway and worshipped him. She worshipped him. She heard
what he said about the elect. She didn't know if she was one
of them. She didn't know if she was one of the elect, did she?
She's a Gentile. As a matter of fact, she doesn't
think she is. She's a Gentile. He just said
Jews, and she's not one of them. She came to him anyway, and worshipped
him. You've heard this story. You
know, few people Few persons would have come back to Christ
when He ignored, like He ignored her. Most people think God's
just waiting, waiting to do what He can for man. Just a sugar
daddy, you know. An old benevolent old man upstairs,
you just please, He wants to. Most people would not have returned.
He ignored her like she wasn't worth His attention. Folks, we're
not. We're not. Fewer, even fewer persons, when
they heard, when she heard him talk about his elect sent to
the law, even fewer would have worshipped
him. Most would have been mad at him. on hearing it and most are, most
are today upon hearing all of this, you know? Well, John Calvin,
one time, I think it was Calvin, somebody asked him, said, John Calvin, you believe
that only the elect are saved, don't you? You believe that God
wrote a book and put the names of his elect in it, don't you?
Of course, I don't think that's the Bible, don't you? Anyway, he said, you believe
that, don't you, John Calvin? He said, I surely do. Only the
elect, God's elect, God's chosen, whose names were written in the
Lamb's Book of Life before the world began. That's God's Word.
They said to him, what if, John Calvin, what if you could see
that book right now? And your name was not in it.
You were not one of the elect. Would you still worship God? They said, why? They were confused.
Why? You're not one of the elect?
Why would you worship him? Why would you glorify him? Calvin
said, because he's worthy. It doesn't make him worthy for saving
me. He's worthy because who he is,
worthy to be worshiped. Whether he elects me or not is
beside the point. See? This is what this woman
is going to say. Verse 20. So our Lord answers
her finally. The disciples came to our Lord
and said, Lord, send her away. He said, I am not sent but to
the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then she came and worshiped
him, saying, Lord, help me. Help me. Now, he does answer
her this time. He speaks, and he answered and
said, It is not meet, verse 26, it
is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to dogs. Are you with me? Is somebody
with me? Now, the Lord ignores her. And then he says, I have not
come to the lost sheep of Abdub, say my last. She keeps coming. Help me, he says. It's not right
to give the children bread to dogs. She's going to run now. She's
going to... That's going to make her mad
now. Surely. You know, this is something
about lost sheep. Listen to me. This is something
about lost sheep. just like found dogs, you can't
drive them off. Church members, yes. Sheep, no.
You can't drive them off. People, if I could have, I would
never remember any. I've done enough, said enough,
not done enough, not said enough in twelve years to to where we
ought to be down to one member, my wife. Honestly, but this is the thing
about lost sheep. You can't drive them off. You can't make them mad. You
can't insult them. You can't offend them. You can't
discourage them. I love this. Ah, I love this. He said, but
he calls her a dog. Well, I mean, he calls her a
dog. That's what he said, didn't he? He called her a dog. Now,
who's going to put up with that? Dogs. You know that? You know the only
thing on this planet that doesn't mind being called a dog? A dog. Is that profound? The only human being that doesn't
mind being called a dog is God's dogs. All God's dogs go to heaven. Oh yeah, they do. We will see
this in a minute. You know the story of my dog.
I've been out preaching a little while now and I want to tell
you something. You know the story of my dog,
Annie, don't you? She was a pound dog. She still
ain't nothing but a pound dog, just a-crying all the time. I found her in a cage. She was
going to die the next morning, along with the rest of the dogs.
She was in the last cage. She was the smallest and one
of the ugliest. But I chose her. I went down
to that pass. She didn't come to me. She didn't
choose me. I chose her. I paid the cost
to obtain her redemption. I signed the necessary agreement
for the care and concern of her. I took the necessary steps to
immune her and whatever the law required of me concerning her.
I took her home, presented her to my admiral. I named her. She didn't even
have a name. She's my dog, all right? What
is she now, after four years or so? Now, what is she now? She's a pound dog. She still
ain't worth much, Brother Henry. What she's learned, she learned
from Abner. You know? I've tried to teach her. She
was an older dog. You can't teach an old dog a
new trick. I learned that. But she learned from Abner. She
did. She watched Abner. She'd roll
over, see it, roll over, see? I'll tell you what she does do,
though. She follows me. She knows who's safe there. And
she follows me around. The rest of them run off. Abner
and the rest of my neighbors' dogs, they all take off. Annie is rarely, isn't that right?
She's rarely away from the house. Rarely away from the house. If
I'm at the house, she's not away from the house. You understand that? She abides
with me. If I walk out the door, I can
bet you Annie's going to be there. She's going to be there. And
you know, quite often I walk outside and she's just a pound
dog. And she's a moose a lot of times. And I walk outside, I got something
to do, I'm in a hurry and all that, and she's whoop-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de- Whining, whining, whining, whining,
whining. That's all she does is whine,
whine, whine. Look to me. Follow me. And you know, every now and then
I'll say, I'm in a hurry, I'm busy or whatever, I don't need,
I say, I don't need you. Sit. Sit. I don't need a dog
right now. I've got higher, nobler things
to do. I don't need a dog. Is that cruel? Is that unreasonable? Am I being mean? No, she's a
dog. I don't need a dog. You understand? Oh, but human beings, now, they're
different. They're a higher life form. Human
beings are noble creatures. Oh, yeah. Right. Dogs don't kill one another.
Dogs don't rape and plunder and butcher the earth. Dogs know their master. Dogs
know who feeds them. Dogs look to their master, no
matter if it's a dumb pound dog. Noble creatures, what's noble
about man? Tell me one thing. God looked
down from heaven to see if there were any that didn't understand
and seek after God. How many people, you know, run
around whining, looking to cry, Oh, help me, help me, have mercy. Here's one, a dog! Help me, help me, help me, help
me, help me. But you're a dog. I don't have
time for dogs. Look at her response now. What
do you think about all this? What do you think about this?
Huh? Let me ask you. What do you think about this? Let's hear what she said. One
word, verse 27, she said, truth. You see, she didn't say that's
true, but truth. Lord. In other words, she's saying
everything you've done, Everything you've said, everything
you've not said and not done, everything you are, everything
you've said about me, is truth. It all goes together to make
up the truth. What is the truth? It's the gospel,
the word of truth. A lord on a throne, a dog in
the dirt, And I sent one to the lost sheep
of the house of Israel. That's true. What do you think
about that? Dog? Truth. Truth. You see that, Jerry? I've never really seen that.
Truth. Not truth. Truth. It's all truth. Take away part of it, it's not
truth. It's all truth, the floor. Yet,
verse 27, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their
master's table. Now what she's doing is saying,
I'm a dog. And I don't deserve bread. But I'm your dog. And you can do with me as you
please. But even dogs get crumbs. Just crumbs. Just a little mercy. I don't deserve that. Dogs don't
deserve that. But that's all I'm asking. Well, what's his response? Well,
after all of this. Now, our Lord, He's been trying
her, folks. He's been trying her. He is humbling
her. He's trying her sincerity. He's humbling her, breaking her,
bringing her down to nothing. Our Lord does this to every son
of Adam. Brings them to nothing. So they
realize that I'm a nothing. And now that she's a daughter, You know, I don't always talk
to Annie like that. I don't always talk to Annie
like that. Get away. You're our dog. Leave me alone.
Sit down. Shut up. Shut up. I don't always talk. Sometimes
I talk to her like this. You're my sweet little sweet
baby. What are you laughing at? You don't do that? Come on now. Come on now. Everyone in here
has got a dog. How do you talk to him? My sweet
little precious baby, I love you. I don't? Yep, if it's your dog. Now, what does he call her? Verse
28, he answered and said, old woman. That's what he called that first
female in the garden that he presented to Adam, who was without
spot or blemish, the most beautiful creature ever to walk the planet. Adam thought so. Our Lord looks at this dog and
says, Oh woman, there's a woman. Now there's a woman, a real woman, a daughter of Abraham. Great is thy faith. You know,
our Lord only said this twice He only said this about two persons
in all of the scriptures. Great is thy faith. Only two
persons that Christ ever said had great faith. Who was it?
Well, there's one. Wasn't Abraham, wasn't Moses,
wasn't David, wasn't... What'd she do? What'd she say
to Mary? What'd she say? What was it that... Why is this great faith? She just said, Truth. Everything
you are and do and say is truth. You call me a dog? Truth. You
don't have to speak to me? Truth. You save your lick? Truth. I need mercy. That's it. Truth. That's a great
thing. The other one was that man, that
Roman centurion who said, Don't come to my house. I'm not worthy
for you to come to my house. I'm ashamed for you to come to
my house. Don't come. I'm not fit for you to come into
my, through my door. Just speak. Oh, I've not felt
so great a pain. Woman, great as I faint, be it
unto thee, even as thou wilt. What does she want? What's she
want? Mercy. Mercy. Say she wanted her daughter
healed. Who got the healing? Who got the healing first? Who
got the joy? Who got the peace? Who got the
comfort? Who was spoken to? Her. She retained mercy and found
help at her time of need. And she went, and yes, her daughter
was healed too. How was she healed? How do you
reckon her daughter was healed? What do you think a mother told a
daughter that was grievously bed? What do you think that mother
told her daughter? Honey, the Lord's had mercy on
you. You don't deserve it, honey.
You're a doll. Because you come from me. You better call on the Lord and
give Him thanks. You better. You better come like a dog to
His feet and call on Him for mercy. And you'll find Him. That's what she told her dog.
The Lord's been good to you. Awful good. Awful good. You give Him thanks, do you worship
Him? Huh, honey? You ought to. You know what the
Lord's done for you? Why don't you confess Him? Why haven't
you confessed Him? That's what she told her daughter. That's what she told her daughter.
That's what I'm telling yours. All right. Let's sing a hymn
in closing. like that dog looking up to me. The hymn says my faith looks
up to thee. 359. 359. Stand with me. Okay. My faith looks up to Thee, Thou
and my scaffolding Savior divine. Now hear me when I pray, Let's sing the second as the
last. May thy rich grace impart Strength
to my fainting heart My zeal inspire As Thou hast cried for me, O
claim my love to Thee. Thou warm and changest me, Thou
living heart. You're dismissed.
