Let's open our Bibles again to
Romans the ninth chapter. Romans chapter nine. When I was just a youngster,
18 years old, folks told, Fortner's
going to cede on sovereignty. And I've been trying my best
to live up to the reputation ever since. Let us never, never,
never undervalue, understate, underdeclare God's glorious sovereignty
in all things. This generation knows little
about the character of God. Little about the character of
God. The God of this book, the God
of this book, unlike the God preached in churches all over
Boyle County, Kentucky on, what's this? November 27th, 2016. I want everybody to hear me. Unlike the God preached in churches
all over this country and all over this world today, the God
of this book, is an absolute sovereign. I mean by that what this book
means when God declares his character in Isaiah 40, 41, 42, 43, 44,
45, and 46, and says, compare me to what? To what will you
liken me? Where is the God? that you'll compare to me. Where
is the God men worship like I am? He is an absolute sovereign. He who is God is an absolute
sovereign with a purpose. With a purpose. Did you ever
run across somebody who was on a purpose? on a mission. Got something that's got to get
done. Got something that's got to get done on a mission. Got
to get it accomplished. If you do, and he's of any size
at all, you better stay out of his way. Because he'll run over
you if he has to, to accomplish what he's determined to accomplish.
God Almighty will run over you to accomplish his purpose. He'll
turn you upside down to accomplish his purpose. He'll turn the world
inside out to accomplish his purpose. He's done it many times
and he'll do it again today. Let me talk to you from the book
of God about the purpose of God. Romans 9, verse 11. Romans 9,
verse 11. Now hear what God says. I'm not reading this from a theology
book. I'm not reading this from a book
of church creeds. I'm not reading this from something
I've written. I'm reading to you what God says in God's word
by infallible inspiration. The children being not yet born,
neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of
God, according to election, might stand. Not of works, but of him
that calleth. The purpose of God. Oh, what
a subject. The purpose of God is according
to election. The purpose of God, according
to election, stands. Doesn't matter what wind blows.
Doesn't matter what storm comes. Doesn't matter what men say.
Doesn't matter what men do. The purpose of God stands. The purpose of God, according
to election, stands not of works, but of him that calleth. The
purpose of God is according to election. The purpose of God
stands. And the purpose of God, according
to election stands, not depending on your works, not depending
on what you do, good or bad, not depending on whether you
have a man like Adolf Hitler running Germany, or you have
a man like George Washington running the United States. The
purpose of God stands, not of works. but of him that calleth. The purpose of God stands as
God calls it. The purpose of God stands as
God orders things. The purpose of God stands exactly
according to his will. Before the world was made, before
time began, God Almighty sovereignly purposed everything that comes
to pass in time. Everything that is, everything
that has been, and everything that shall hereafter be was purposed
by our God, absolutely purposed by God from eternity. Everything
in the universe is moving toward the predestined end of God's
purpose with absolute certainty. Everything. Nothing on this earth will sell
you a boat like this if you can get hold of it. Everything is
moving with exact precision and accuracy to the accomplishment
of God's purpose. Everything that comes to pass
in time was purposed by our God in eternity. Now let's look to
the word of God and see what God says about his purpose. To
the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to
this word, it is because there is no light in them. And when
we talk about God's purpose, we're not talking about something
that's not revealed in Scripture. We're not talking about something
that's a good point of strong theology. We're talking about
something that's vital to the knowledge and character of God
as he is. To deny God's purpose is to deny
God's being. To deny God's purpose is to deny
who he is. To deny God's purpose is to attempt
as Lucifer of old to shove God off his throne. I'm talking about
things that are vital to the very character of our God. This
is God's explanation of providence. Look back one page to Romans
8, 28. This is God's explanation of
history. We know that all things work
together for good to them that love God are the called according
to His purpose. I reckon why that happened. His purpose. His purpose. That's God's explanation. purpose. This is God's explanation
of election and reprobation. In our text, Romans 9 verse 11,
God tells us by the writings of this man Paul that God chose
Jacob in everlasting love and rejected Esau in everlasting
hatred and that he reveals this fact to the boy's parents. the children being not yet born,
neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of
God, according to election, might stand, not of works, but of him
that calleth." Now, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds
of books have been written trying to explain or explain away What
God meant when he speaks about election. And what God meant
when he speaks about reprobation. What God means when he talks
about sheep. And what God means when he talks about goats. What
God means when he talks about loving Jacob. And what he means
when he talks about hating Esau. This is how God explains it.
This is how God explains it. That the purpose of God might
stay. And you know what? That's the
best explanation I've found yet. God's explanation is crystal
clear. Why is it that some folks are
saved and others are not? Why is it that some people are
made to hear the Word of God and hearing are made to hear
by the Spirit of God and others listening to the same preacher
at the same time with the same message don't hear anything?
How come? that the purpose of God according
to election might stand. That's the explanation. This
is God's explanation of history, of providence, and of salvation.
Turn over to Ephesians chapter 1, Ephesians 1. Here's how God
explains his providence. Verse 11, In whom also we have
obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the
purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his
own will. Did that say God works all things
after the counsel of his own will? That God's purpose is accomplished
by God working everything after the counsel of his own will,
that's exactly what it says. It's exactly what it says. The
deeds of angels and of devils. The deeds of upright men and
base men. The deeds of peaceful men and
the deeds of warring men. All things worked by God according
to his purpose after the counsel of his own will. This is God's
explanation of all true gospel preaching, evangelism, and missionary
endeavor throughout history. Look at chapter 3 of Ephesians,
verse 11. Here the Spirit of God tells
us that Paul preached the gospel to us Gentiles, even the unsearchable
riches of Christ, that the manifold wisdom of God might be revealed
in Christ Jesus according to the eternal purpose which he
purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord. This is the reason God
sends folks preaching the gospel everywhere. That men might be
made to hear and know the wisdom of God in the gospel according
to his purpose. Now turn a few pages over to
2 Timothy, 2 Timothy 1. This is God's explanation of
this whole thing called salvation. How is it the sinners are saved?
How is it the sinners are saved? Oh, they're saved by this, they're
saved by that. Some folks say this way, some
folks say that way. This is how God says it's saved. Verse nine,
2 Timothy 1.9. God hath saved us and called
us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according
to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ
Jesus before the world began. That explains everything. His
purpose, his purpose. Now in these five verses of scripture
that we've read, Romans 8, 28, Romans 9, 11, Ephesians 1, 11,
and 3, 11, and 2 Timothy 1, 9. In these five verses, God tells
us five distinct facts about his purpose. Number one, God's
purpose is eternal. Number two, God's purpose includes
all things. Number three, God has in particular, distinctly, for the
design of his purpose, the spiritual eternal blessedness of his people. Everything God does is for us. Everything God does is for us. You often hear fellas on these
old western movies that you see on television and fellas involved
in some criminal enterprise or doing something shady, doing
something that they ought not to have done. And he says to
his wife, trying to excuse her, I just did it for you. I just
did it for you. And you know he's lying. The
script makes you know he's lying. I just did it for you. About
everything we do, we do for us. Me. That's the way we are. Everything
God does, he does just for you. Just for you. Everything. Just
for Jacob. Just for Israel. Just for his
elect. Number four, God's purpose is
immutable and sure. It is immutable. The purpose
of God stands. My counsel shall stand, God says,
and I will do all my pleasure. And number five, in its ultimate
end, God's purpose will accomplish the salvation of his people.
everlasting praise, honor, and glory of His own great name. How often have you thought to
yourself or said in various circumstances, oh, if I could just see what
God's purpose is in this, it would make it more bearable.
If I could just see why God's doing this, it would make it
more bearable. Mother Don, what's the Lord's purpose? And most of the time when I sit
and hold your hand or put my arm around your shoulder and
weep with you in the middle of crisis and difficulty, most of
the time when I bear your burdens before God's throne with a heavy
heart, I just don't know immediately. I just don't know immediately
why God's doing what he's doing. I don't know. I don't know. I can't answer. I can't answer. I don't know why you were born
in that hole in your heart. I don't know. I know it was according
to God's purpose. I don't know what immediately
will come as a result. I don't know why David and his
family are going through what they're going through right now.
I don't know why Cody Groover, a faithful man, so important,
dropped dead 57 years old without warning last week. I don't know
why. Immediately, immediately. But I searched this book and
I know some answers. I know some answers that are
sure. as to what God's purpose is. Let me show them to you.
Turn, if you will, to the ninth chapter of Luke's gospel,
Luke chapter nine, Luke chapter nine. Let me show you some things God's
purposed. Now remember what God purposed must come to pass, Luke
chapter nine. Here we're told by our Lord Jesus
himself that the Son of Man must suffer and die upon the cursed
tree. The son of man must suffer and
die upon the cursed tree. Look at verse 22. Our Lord's
with his disciples and he's having the last supper with them. He
said, who folks say I am? And they said, well, some say
you're Moses or Elijah or one of the prophets. Some say you're
one of the prophets raised from the dead. You might be Jeremiah.
He said, but who do you say I am? And they said, we say you're
the Christ, the Christ of God. And look at verse 22. He said,
the son of man, Must. Must. That word must. Let me tell you what it means.
It means must. Must. All hell ain't gonna stop
it. Must. Hell will be used to execute
it, must. Men won't prevent it, must. Men will be used to execute it,
must. The son of man must suffer many
things and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and
scribes. That is the whole religious world gonna turn thumbs down
on him and say, let's kill him and be slain. and be raised the
third day. Why? Why must the Son of Man
die? Why must Jesus Christ, God's
darling Son, die? Why must the Lord Jesus Christ,
the only good, righteous, holy man ever to walk on God's earth,
why must he die? There got to be an answer given
in this book. He must die because God purposed
it. He was delivered to the hands
of wicked men by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of
God. God says so in Acts chapter two,
verse 23. Our Lord Jesus was delivered
to their hands for to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel before
determined to be done. Acts chapter four, verse 28.
Christ Jesus had to die at Jerusalem in order to fulfill all his agreements
as our covenant surety. The son of man must suffer and
die. He volunteered to be our surety. He stepped forward and willingly
gave himself to do his father's will. But having stood as our
surety from everlasting, having pledged himself as our ransom
from everlasting, he is honor bound to fulfill his word and
so he must suffer and die. Our Lord Jesus says in John 10,
look over there if you will, John chapter 10. Verse 15. As the father knoweth me, even
so know I the father. And I lay down my life for the
sheep. He willingly lays down his life. No man takes it from
him. He comes to lay it down of himself.
Look at this. And of the sheep I have which
are not of this fold. We'll be back to this in just
a minute, but watch it. Them also I must bring. and they shall
hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life
that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but
I lay it down of myself. I had the power to lay it down,
I had the power to take it again. This commandment have I received
of my Father. How can that be? He's God. If he's one with the father,
equal with the father, co-existent with the father, how can the
father order him to do anything, command him to do anything? He
speaks here as Jehovah's servant, as that shepherd who undertakes
the responsibility of the sheep, as the surety of God's elect.
And having undertaken all responsibility for our souls, the father says,
go and redeem my people. And the son says, I'm honor bound,
I must die. I must die because this is the
only way justice can be satisfied. This is the only way sin can
be put away. This is the only way righteousness can be brought
in. This is the only way the prophets can be fulfilled. This
is the only way all the types of the scriptures can be fulfilled.
The Son of Man must suffer at the hands of wicked men. He must
die at Jerusalem by the hands of wicked men, by the hands of
Gentiles who were who alone would crucify him, because he's gotta
be hanging on a tree as a cursed one, but it must be delivered
to the hands of the Gentiles by the hands of scribes and Pharisees,
the religious leaders of the Jewish world. His own people
must put him to death, because that's what God ordained. That's
what God purposed for the fulfilling of the scriptures, for the saving
of our souls. except the Son of Man suffer
and die at Calvary, there would be no salvation for his people,
no justice satisfied, no possibility of sin being forgiven. But through
Christ, suffering and death is our substitute. The Lord God
shows himself. in all his glorious character
as he showed himself to Moses. When Moses said, show me your
glory, he said, all right, hang on. Let me show you how that
I can be a just God and a savior. A just God and a savior. I struggle with this. I suspect
many of you have and some of you perhaps still are struggling
with this. How could God forgive my sin? I don't know a great deal about
Skip Gladfelter's rearing. Just listening to him and Sandy
talk, I expect you were raised in a pretty good house. And he
didn't get involved in too much trouble, I presume. Kept his
nose clean, went to college, got a good job. And then when
he was an old man, God saved him. Well, I can understand God saving
a fellow like that. He's not too bad. He's not too
bad. He hadn't done too much, too
wrong. But me? Me? How can God Almighty save such
a wretch? How can God forgive my sin? Blot it out! Take it away! And
make me righteous. I never could figure it out until
one day God revealed His Son in me. And God who says, by the sacrifice
of His Son, that's enough. spoke peace to my heart and in
my soul says that's enough. And now here I am in the awareness
of my depravity, my corruption, my sin, my ungodliness. Yonder, seated in heaven, is
a man who is God, who satisfied justice when he was made sin
for me, and God Almighty accepted him. Bless God, that's enough. That's enough. Christ must suffer
and die, else there's no possibility of salvation. There's something
else. The Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior,
in order to save us from our sins, must rise from the dead. He must rise from the dead. Look
at John chapter 20. John chapter 20, verse 9. Our Lord Jesus has risen from
the dead and Mary going to the tomb and she thinks somebody
stole his body and she went and got Peter and John and they ran
to the tomb and Peter ran in and then John came in behind
him and they believed her report. Somebody stole the Lord's body.
stole the Lord's body. Now, the Savior told them again,
and again, and again, and again. The prophets told them again,
and again, and again, and again. And you think to yourself, why
didn't they see that? Why didn't they see that? Because
you can't see anything until God shows it to you. You can't
hear anything until God causes you to hear it. You can't believe
anything in this book till God gives you faith to believe it.
And the Lord's gone. I saw the linen clothes laid
there, napkin folded up and laid there. Somebody stole his body.
Look at verse nine. Here's the explanation. John
20, verse nine. For as yet they knew not the
scripture that he must rise again from the dead. He must. He must. Pilate, that deceiver told us
and told the world that he's gonna rise from the dead the
third day. The Pharisees heard it. Give us permission to seal
his tomb, put a guard by it so that nobody will come and steal
his body and say he rose from the dead. And Pilate said, go
make it strong as you can. You seal it tight as you can.
And the Lord Jesus, rose from the dead with the guard sitting
there. The stone rolled away and he
walked out of the tomb. He rose from the dead because
he must rise from the dead. How come? He is declared to be
the son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness by
the resurrection from the dead. Romans chapter 1 verse 4. This
resurrection displays him as God in human flesh. What man,
what man can rise from the dead, especially what man can resuscitate
himself and raise himself up from the dead? Only a man who
is God, who is life. This man rose from the dead,
though he was made sin for us and bear our sin in his own body
on the tree and suffered the wrath of God until justice was
satisfied. This man was buried in the heart
of the earth. For three days, he lay in the
heart of the earth like Jonah in the whale's belly. And on
the third day, he rose from the dead, justified in the spirit. because he was delivered for
our offenses and raised again for our justification. He was
raised again to declare his people justified in a public undeniable
manner. He who was made sin had put away
sin and now he's raised from the dead declaring that we have
no sin. He must rise from the dead just
as he must die because of our sins made his. He must rise from
the dead because of our sins put away being justified by his
sacrifice. Here's the third thing. Turn
back to Mark's gospel. Mark chapter 13. Mark chapter 13. Verse 10. Our Lord's talking about the
second coming. And he says, the gospel must first be published
among all nations. Must, must. But they outlawed
that in China. They passed laws against that
in Iraq and Iran and Afghanistan, Turkey. You can't preach the
gospel over there. You can't do that in Russia,
they've got laws against it. The gospel must. Could you read the word? You
remember what must means? You remember what must means?
Must. Hell ain't gonna stop it. Politicians
ain't gonna stop it. Barriers being put up aren't
gonna stop it. The gospel must be preached. nations, the grace of God in
Christ, the glorious Gospel of our all-glorious Redeemer must
be preached in all the world. I well remember next to the last
time Brother Mahan preached here, he had been, Brother Tom Harding,
Brother Anthony Moody had been posting a sermon on, a sermon
audio for good while at that time. And Brother Mahan was unaware
really of the technological, what do you call it, computer
world. He's unaware of those things.
And he and I had breakfast, Shelby and Doris and I, and he had breakfast
together over at Cracker Barrel and we chatted a little bit.
And I said, Brother Henry, Do you have any idea how many people
have downloaded sermons already off of that website? He said,
no. And I had the paper with me, I showed it to him. But he
was just dumbfounded. And he kind of smiled and he
said, well, maybe this is what the Lord meant when he said the
gospel must be published among all nations. Maybe this is how
you're gonna do it. Maybe this is how you're gonna do it. Before
you go to bed tonight, This sermon will be heard by folks all over
the world. Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe this
is the way he intends to publish his word around the world. How
come it must be published everywhere? So that the Lord God Almighty
might make known to all men the wondrous accomplishments of his
son by the preaching of the word. That's our business, is to make
all men see the manifold wisdom of God in the accomplishment
of redemption by Christ Jesus. Now, I can't make you see it.
I can't make you understand it. I can't do that. But I'm not
a real smart fella. The real smart fellas can't either.
Only God can do that. But I can declare it to you.
and that's my responsibility. We can declare it to men. That's
our responsibility, to make all men see the accomplishments of
our Redeemer. This gospel must be preached
in all the world because God's elect must hear the Word. They must hear. Faith comes by
hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Well, Brother Dodd, we
believe God's sovereign. He can save folks by fish flopping
in the water. God can save folks any way he
wants to, but there's only one way he wants to do it. He pleased
God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. And
that's how God saves sinners. He sends the word. and causes
chosen redeemed sinners out of every nation, kindred, tribe,
and tongue to hear the gospel and hearing at the appointed
time of love they believe. And the gospel must be preached
everywhere to leave the reprobate without excuse so that men go
to hell pushing God out of the way. You who hear my voice, You
who are listening to me right now, if you go to hell, this
is how you're gonna go. God, get out of my way. God,
get out of my way! God, leave me alone! And you'll
go to hell without excuse. Without excuse. That's how come
we preach the gospel everywhere. Fourth, look back at that passage
we looked at in John 10, verse 16. John 10, verse 16. Our Lord Jesus says, other sheep
I have, not other sheep I'm gonna have. They were already his sheep
before he ever came here. The Son of God, our Savior, the
Lord Jesus, they called him Jesus, for he shall save his people.
They were already his people before he came here. Other sheep
I have, already his sheep. What you do or don't do doesn't
make you his sheep, and doesn't make you a goat. Either you're
a sheep or you're a goat, there's no changing that. But those who
are his sheep, They are given him in his hands before the world
began as the good shepherd trusted to him. Other sheep I have which
are not of this fold, that is they haven't been saved yet,
haven't been called yet. Other sheep I have who are not
in this little group right here, them also I, what'd he say? What'd he say? Must bring. Must bring. Must bring. I must bring them or they won't
come. I must bring them or I'm a failure. I must bring them
or God's a liar. I must bring them or they won't
be saved. I must bring them or the purpose of God's gonna fail.
I must bring. I must bring. God's elect every
one of them gonna be saved. God's gonna save them by the
means he ordained, by the preaching of the gospel. That means we
don't have to put on a show. That means we don't have to play
tricks on folks. That means we don't have to find out how politicians
get big crowds at a political rally. That means we don't have
to have stuff going on. All the stuff gets in the way.
them also I must bring, and bring them he will. Our Lord Jesus
was one day down in Judea preaching, and he left Judea, and we read
in Luke chapter four, verse four, I believe it is, he must needs,
I'm sorry, John chapter four, he must needs go through Samaria. He must needs go through Samaria. How come? Well, there was a Samaritan
woman down there. She was just a whore. She'd had five husbands, and
the one she was living with wasn't her husband. She's out there,
that Samaritan whore. She's coming out in the middle
of the day so she won't have to be met by any of the other
women in town. Because they'd all poke fun at
her and stick out their fingers and laugh at her and talk about
her and cuss at her and throw rocks at her. So she comes out
in the middle of the day to get some water. So to be by herself. And the Lord Jesus must needs
go through Samaria and stop by Jacob's well. at exactly the
time that Samaritan harlot comes down to draw some water. How
come? Because there's an appointed
time of love for God's elect. And they must be called at that
time, in those circumstances, at that place. They won't be
called in any other time, in any other circumstances, at any
other place. God's purpose stands sure. Several
years ago, Shelby and I went out to visit some friends. Had
some contact with them after they'd heard me preaching on
the radio out in California. Out at Folsom Prison. And Brad
Johnson was his name. His wife's name was Iris. She
met Brad. He was in prison for armed robbery. A state trooper was killed during
the shootout. He was in prison the rest of
his life, second or third time. And they met while she was smuggling
drugs into the prison to prisoners. And God saved them. And we're
sitting chatting one day in Folsom Prison, and she said, I thank
God for Folsom Prison. Had it been Folsom Prison, I
wouldn't have heard the gospel. And I'd never known the Savior.
God's purpose is absolute and sure for the saving of his people. He must needs go through Samaria. at the appointed time of love,
because those who are redeemed by his blood must be born again
by his Spirit. Ye must be born again, our Savior
said to Nicodemus. Ye must be. He didn't say, Nicodemus,
I think maybe you're gonna be born again. He said, Nicodemus,
you must be born again. You must be born again. How come? Because Nicodemus was
chosen before the world began. Because Nicodemus was redeemed
by his precious blood. And every sinner chosen before
the world began, redeemed by his precious blood, must be born
again. And he'll do it by the preaching
of the gospel, by the power of his spirit. Look in 1 Corinthians
15. Verse 24, Then cometh the end,
when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the
Father, when he shall have put down all rule and all authority
and power. For he must reign till he hath
put all enemies under his feet. Jesus Christ, seated on the throne
of glory, having all power over all flesh to give eternal life
to as many as the Father has given Him. And He's going to
sit right there on that throne. And He's going to hold the reins
of the universe in His hand and govern everything until at last
every enemy bows to His feet, either in judgment or in repentance,
but bow you will. Either in judgment or in grace,
but bow we will. It's either bow or be damned,
that's all. There are no in-between options.
You will either bow to Christ the King, surrender to him the
rule of your life with gladness, or you'll bow to him and confess
his honor as he throws you into hell, but bow you will, for he
must reign. He must reign until every enemy
hits the dust before his feet. Everybody shall, everybody shall. Look at this, chapter 15, down
to verse 51. Tell you something else that must
happen, because God's purposed it. Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep. But we
shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at
the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall
be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Now watch
this. For this corruptible must. Those fellows that died at sea,
and they threw them overboard, and sharks came and ate them,
And they passed through the body of the shark out in the draft
in the sea, and it had been washed all around the world. You can't
believe that. You can't believe it. Those folks
thought it died. Down in Mexico, they don't embalm
folks, they just die. And they generally don't have
a grave that's permanent. You drive down and see, some
of you fellas been down there with me, seen they'll, after
a few years, they'll just go ahead and get the bodies out
of that grave and lay them up there on top of the thing, this
family comes and gets them, and somebody else go down there,
so that one rots. And they'll go get the bones
and lay those bones up there to bury somebody else, so that
one rots. And then he'll go get them again. Just lay bones out
there. Well, you can't believe in a
resurrection. Let's see. This corruptible. What's that
word? Must. Because God purposed it. It's coming to pass. Must put
on incorruption. This mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall
have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on
immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,
death is swallowed up in victory. Oh, death, where is thy sting?
Oh, grave, where is thy victory? The Lord Jesus is coming again
to gather us, to gather our dust from the earth. He's coming again
to make all things new. And then one more thing. Look
at 2 Corinthians chapter five. 2 Corinthians chapter five. According to the eternal purpose
of God, we're gonna meet God. We're gonna meet the God-man,
Jesus Christ our Savior. Jesus Christ, the Lord, whom
we crucified at the great white throne judgment. 2 Corinthians
5 verse 10, for we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ
that everyone may receive things done in his body according to
that he had done, whether it be good or bad. When judgment's over, he'll say,
he that is holy, let him be holy still. He that is righteous,
let him be righteous still. He that is pure, let him be pure
still. He that is filthy, let him be
filthy still. He that is unrighteous, let him
be unrighteous still. He that's unholy, let him be
unholy still. He that's unjust, let him be
unjust still. blessed of my Father, inherit
the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
Depart, you cursed. I never knew you. Knowing therefore
the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. Be reconciled to God. Believe on His Son. I'm God's
ambassador sent with terms of peace from the king of heaven.
Let me give you his terms of peace. Are you listening? Let me give you his terms of
peace. Surrender. That's all. Surrender. That's it. Surrender! be reconciled to God by faith
in His Son or forever be damned. God give you faith in His Son.
Amen.
