The Bible reveals that the only true saving revelation of God is through Jesus Christ.
According to the Bible, particularly in Acts 4:12, there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. The only way to truly know God is through His Son, Jesus Christ, who embodies the fulfillment of all that God has declared about salvation. This revelation is unique, and any other claims to know God apart from Christ are misleading, as eternal life is defined in John 17:3 as knowing God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent.
Acts 4:10-12, John 17:3
Jesus is confirmed as the Christ through Old Testament prophecies and His fulfillment as the Savior.
The identity of Jesus as the Christ is foundational in both the Old and New Testaments. For instance, Isaiah prophesies about the coming Messiah, and Matthew 1:21 records the angel declaring that Jesus will save His people from their sins. The entire narrative of Scripture points to this Savior, showing that from creation to the coming of Christ, God’s plan has always centered on this one man, appointed for redemption. The apostle John emphasizes in 1 John 5:1 that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ are born of God, highlighting the necessity of this belief for true faith.
Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:21, 1 John 5:1
The birth of Jesus is significant because it marks the entrance of the Savior into the world, fulfilling God's promise of redemption.
The significance of Jesus' birth is immense, as it embodies the culmination of God’s salvific plan for humanity. As stated in Luke 2:11, 'For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.' His coming represents the glory of God made manifest and the inauguration of a new covenant. Jesus' birth signals hope and salvation for sinners, confirming God's plan to redeem a people for Himself through the finished work of Christ.
Luke 2:11, John 1:14, Ephesians 1:12
Jesus fulfilled the law perfectly, providing righteousness for believers through His obedience.
During His life, Jesus accomplished what no human could: He perfectly fulfilled the law of God. As noted in Romans 10:4, 'For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.' His obedience to the law was not just for Himself, but as a representative for all His people, thus providing them with the righteousness necessary for salvation. His life demonstrates the reality that salvation is rooted not in human effort but in the redemptive work of Christ, who fully obeyed the law on behalf of believers.
Romans 10:4, Hebrews 10:14
Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, victorious and reigning as Lord.
Currently, Jesus resides at the right hand of God, having been exalted after His resurrection. Acts 2:33 states that 'being by the right hand of God exalted,' He is in a position of authority and power, anticipated to return and complete His redemptive work. This position signifies His victory over sin and death and ensures that He is the final judge of all. Believers can rest in the assurance that He is actively interceding for them and overseeing all of creation.
