In the book of Thessalonians,
chapter 2, verse 43, Paul says in the book of Thessalonians,
chapter 2, verse 43, The brethren whom the Lord loves, we should
be grateful to you. For God has chosen you from the
beginning, and has called you to be righteous. You have been
moved by the Holy Spirit, and have become saints, and have
been saved. What is chosen? Dr. Jens Lorenzen-Grabb was working
in his rose garden. A woman living next door walked
into the rose garden. She said, Dr. Grabb. She said,
yes, ma'am. She said, are you a Catholic
believer? She said, yes, ma'am. She said, do you Catholics believe
in God's selection? He said, yes, we believe in God. He said, I hope you can explain
to me. He said, yes, have you been saved? He said, yes. He said, who saved
you? He said, God saved me. He said, God saved you for a
certain purpose Or is it just a coincidence? He said, God saved
me for a purpose He said, Miss, that is selection God has a purpose
for everything he does There is no accident in God In the
past, Si Bu Zhen said Selection is to use the name of the master
The fallen sinner is given life from death, returning from the
land of darkness to the land of God. Because of God and his
own cause, this whole action is selection. Vienna says, the
old grace comes from Jehovah. David writes, a man is saved
because of Jehovah. The whole work of salvation is
to give life from death to sinners who have lost their way, and
return to the kingdom of God from the kingdom of darkness,
from the beginning to the end. God saves us because of a certain
purpose. We know that everything works
for each other. Those who love God get what they
deserve, those who are called by his will. The second question
is, What does the Bible teach us about selection? Let's turn
to Matthew 24. Let's read a few chapters. When I was reading the Word of
God, I hoped that you would follow me and write down these scriptures.
People often come to me. They say, how do you explain
this scripture? I will not explain this scripture. I will only do practical work. Let us read the words of God. Let us be honest with our own
evaluation of the words of God. Let the words of God judge our
faith, and do not let our faith judge the words of God. Most
people already know what they believe, and try to explain it
with the Bible. Let us go back to the words of
God. Matthew 24, chapter 24 Because
the false Christ, the false prophet, is about to rise He will show
a great miracle, a great miracle If it is possible, even the chosen
ones will be bewildered He is going to dispel the messengers
He is going to use the voice of the trumpet to summon his
chosen ones from all directions, from heaven to heaven The chosen
ones here are the people of the Bible Tonight I read these chapters,
I just want to give you some scriptures to mention the name of God. Mark
13 chapter 20. If it were not for the Lord to
reduce that day, there would be no one to save those who have
blood. It's just that the Lord's name
has reduced that day. The Lord's name. Now let's look at John chapter
6, verse 3, verse 7. What I want to say is that the
Bible teaches us what salvation is. One time, I went to Cerrito,
West Virginia to buy a Coca-Cola at a gas station. There was a
bible on the table at the gas station. I didn't know the person. I didn't know who he was. I was
just standing there drinking Coca-Cola. When I saw the bible
open, I was very happy. My heart was even a little weak.
Because there was a person who was doing business. Why can't we decide if we should
believe in the Book of Life and Death mentioned in the Bible?
He doesn't know I'm a missionary, and I don't know if he is. But
I said, let's see how the Bible says the Book of Life and Death. I searched through the dictionary
and found that the New Testament uses the word four times. It could also be five times. I turned to the first place where
it appears. After reading it, I said, I heard
that God has decided to imitate his son's appearance. I said, don't you want to imitate
God's son's appearance? He said, I do. I said, this is
God's will. God's will has been decided long
ago. It will happen in all our intentions,
reasons, and events. One day, we will imitate God's
son's appearance. He has already preordained everything. I have already read all the scriptures
about these things. He said, I have never read like
this before. Now, my friend, what we have
to do now is to find a Bible. You can buy a cheap one. Then
let us stop accepting those things that we have been taught. Do
you know? To admit your mistake yesterday
is to admit that you are smarter than yesterday, isn't it? If
I admit that yesterday I didn't know certain things, but I know
them today, it means that I am smarter than yesterday today.
I hope that I am smarter than yesterday today. I hope that
I won't have a Bible closed and a closed heart. I hope that in
front of God, I have an open Bible and an open heart. Let's look at John chapter 6,
verse 37. Jesus said, Those who have given to me will come to
me. Those who come to me, I will
not forsake them. We live in an unrighteous age. We live in an age where people
only look at half of the meaning of the Bible. This is how they
interpret it. Those who are willing can come. The Bible did not say that from
Genesis to Revelation. Those are just some misinterpretations
from the Bible. What the Bible says is that the
saints and the believers say, come. Those who hear should also
say, come. Those who are thirsty should
also say, come. Those who are willing can drink
the water of life. This is what the Bible says. and the meaning of anyone who
is willing to come are far apart. It should be said that anyone
who is willing can drink the water of life for free. Are you thirsty? No, I'm not thirsty. If you don't
come, then you won't be able to get an invitation. You won't.
Every invitation has its current situation. Although your sin
is like a pig's red, it will turn into snow white. Are you
as drunk as a pig? No, I am not such a wicked man. Then please do not come. Those who are old, bitter,
and burdened with sin can come to me. I will give you rest. Are you as burdened with sin
as a burden? No, I am not. Then Christ did
not invite you to come. Those who are thirsty and willing
can drink the water of life. Are you thirsty? No, I can't. Then, you are not invited. The
Bible says, people quote this scripture, Those who come to
me, I will not forsake them. But the Bible does not say so.
Instead, those who are given to me by the Father will come
to me. Those who come to me, I will
not forsake them. Shouldn't it be like this? This is the scripture I read. Look at chapter 44. If it wasn't
for the father who sent me, no one would have come to me. Whoever
comes to me, I will resurrect him at the end of the day. Turn
to John chapter 13 verse 18. I am not referring to what you all say. I know who I have chosen.
Now I will read the words of the Lord, saying, The people who ate with me kicked
me with their feet. I did not say this to you. I know that
I have been chosen. John 15, verse 16 Christ said
to the disciples again, It is not you who have chosen me, but
I have chosen you. And I have sent you to pick up
the fruits, to make your fruits live long, so that you may be
named after me. No matter what the Father asks,
He will grant it to you. Turn to John 17, verse 9. I pray
for them, I pray for them. In John 17, Jesus said six times,
The one whom you have given to me, the one whom you have given
to me. In John 17, verse 9, he says,
I pray for them, not for the world, but for those whom you
have bestowed upon me, because they are yours. For me, the strangest
thing in the world is that people say that Christ's desire is to
save the world, but he refuses to pray for the world. For me, the strangest thing in
the world is that people argue that Christ worked hard to save
the world, but he said, I do not pray for the world. He said,
I do not pray for the world. I do not pray for every human
being. If he prayed for every human
being, they would be saved. Because God always responds to
his son's prayer. He said, Father, I know that
you always listen. He cannot pray for the world. If he prays for the world, the
whole world will be saved. If he dies for this world, this
world will be saved. Jesus said, it is done. What
he has to do in this world is done. He will not fail. Your little Jesus may fail, but
the Christ in the Bible will not. He will not fail. He will
not pray for the world, but pray for the people you have bestowed
upon me. For they are yours, and all that
is mine is yours, and yours is mine. And I have been glorified
because of them. Proudness lies in bowing down
to the outside world, and craziness lies in falling down to the inside world. The
13th Chapter of the Heart Sutra. When the outsiders hear this,
they will be happy. The Tao of the God of War is
believed by all those who are destined to live forever. Since
the 4th century, people have been trying to reverse the cause-and-effect
relationship. Anyone who believes in it is
destined to live forever But that's not what the Bible says
The Bible says that anyone who believes in it is destined to
live forever Now let's turn to Romans chapter 9 Once upon a
time, when I read this chapter I had an unusual experience Every
time I read this chapter, I would think In fact, some people are
related to this matter But what I want to teach is God's plan,
God's words. I try to be honest with myself,
but I always face some criticism, some opposition. One day, I made
up my mind. I just want to pick up the Bible
and read some scriptures. I was teaching a course on the
Bible, and a lot of people participated. When I started to read Romans
chapter 9 verse 10, I did this thing. I started to read this
scripture in front of the whole class, and I didn't give any
comment. I just finished reading this
scripture. Not only that, there is also
Li Baijia. From one person, it is from our
ancestors. 以撒懷樂運 The Gemini has not yet been born,
and the Gemini has not yet been made, but it should be made clear
that God's will to choose people does not care about people's
behavior, but God's will to recruit people. God said to Leviticus,
In the future, the big ones will serve the small ones, just as
the Bible says, Jacob is what I love, Esau is what I hate. What can we say? Is there anything
unfair to God? No. Because he said to Moses,
I will have mercy on whoever I want to have mercy on whoever
I want to have mercy on. From this point of view, I don't
care about those who are rebellious. I don't care about those who
run away. I only care about God who has
mercy. Because the Lord said to Pharaoh,
I will raise you up. I want to show you my power,
and I want to spread my name to the world. It seems that you
can pity whoever you want, and you can call whoever you want. When I read this, a brother interrupted
me. I said, yes, sir. He said, you
are teaching that God chose some people and saved them before
they were born. At that time, he left and never
came back to church again. He was so rebellious and hateful
that even God's words could not hurt him. My friend, if you are
in a situation where there is no hope and no help, what conclusion
will you draw when I read this passage of Scripture? I think
you know what conclusion you will have. The Savior came out
of Jehovah, Yagur is the one I love. Mack Gardner told me
that his father was a priest in Missouri, a priest of the
Catholic Church. Mack Gardner told me that his
father preached the doctrine of grace. One day, he walked
into the classroom and talked to his father. He said, Dad,
I don't understand. Romans 9.13 says, Jacob is what
I love, Esau is what I hate. What does it mean? He said, I
don't understand why God hates Esau. His father tried to explain,
and then Macbeth told me, he said, When I grew up, I learned about
the human heart's fall, the humankind's rebellion against God, the evil
and sin in this world, and the world's turning to Satan's island. He said, if you see my father
today, my question won't be, how can God hate evil? My question
will be, Dad, why does God love Jacob? If you see yourself today as
a sinner who committed a crime before God's judgment, your question
will not be, why does God hate Isa? I know why God hates Isa. Isa is a witness. So are we. The question should be, why does
God love Jacob? Why does God love you? Do you
know? What reason does God have to
love you? Do you know? In Romans 11, chapter 5,
it is still the same According to the selection of grace, there
is still a surplus left Even if it is out of grace, it does
not matter Otherwise, grace is not grace According to the selection
of grace, there is still a surplus left Let's look at chapter 7 What does this mean? What the
Israelites asked for, they did not get. The Israelites asked
for it in their rites. The Israelites asked for it in
their actions. The Israelites asked for it in
their works. But they did not get it. Let's continue. Only the chosen
ones got it. Because God opened their eyes,
and let them see that Christ is their work. God opened their
ears, and let them hear the voice of Jesus, who was saved by Christ. The rest of the people were blinded. This is God's Word. Next, if you see the first chapter
of the Bible In the first chapter of the Bible, I'm going to focus on the selection of
God's words and teachings in the Bible In the first chapter of the Bible,
please look at the third chapter The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the
Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit Just as God has chosen
us in Christ before the creation of the world, making us holy
in front of Him, without flaws, and because He loves us, He has
chosen us according to His own will, with the name of the Son
of Jesus Christ. God has chosen us. When? Before
the creation of the world. Why? because it was accomplished according
to his will. This is what this sutra teaches.
You say, that is not what this sutra means. Then, what does
this sutra mean? Do you have to be reborn again?
Does that mean you have to be reborn again? Yes, that's right.
Then, why is this sutra not what it means? When we talk about the eternal
life in heaven, is that what it means? Yes, of course, that's
what it means. Then, why is it not what it says
here? When the Bible mentions eternal
punishment in hell, is that what it means? When the Bible says
that Christ died on the cross, did he really die on the cross? So, why is this not what it means? Because we don't want it to be. It took away people's glory,
destroyed people's behavior, and made us rely on God like
beggars, instead of relying on ourselves. This is why we don't
want it to be. People care about others, and
use it as a cover-up. In fact, that's just caring about
yourself, and you have a proud body. We don't want to be humble. We don't want to admit that everything
we have in the forest is only the grace of God. We don't want
that. We want to get praise and credit. Turn to 1 Thessalonians chapter
4 and 5. The beloved brethren of God, Now let's turn to the second
chapter, chapter 10 of the Book of Empress Dowager No one is
preaching the rich content of this sutra You hear it on the
radio, on the TV You hear it on the podium You hear hundreds
of sutras, but no one is preaching them They don't know how to handle
these sutras They did not mention these sutras in the teachings
because when you read them, the meaning of these sutras will
be revealed. These sutras give glory to God,
and make people become the receivers of gifts. In the second chapter
of the Book of the Devil Empress, Chapter 10, Paul says, So I will
choose people who are patient, We can also call them to receive
the old grace and eternal glory in Christ Jesus. Paul said, this is the reason
why I am here. He said, before the earth, I have suffered for this cause
and even been bound, just like a prisoner. However, the way
of God is not bound, but I have chosen for the people all kinds
of patience, God has chosen some people here. I come here to find
them. I come here to preach the gospel
to them. I come here to proclaim God's
blessing to them until they receive the old and eternal glory in
Christ Jesus. This is why every preacher is
like Paul, preaching everywhere. Because God has chosen people, He is not looking for it in this
busy world, like looking for an old can in a garbage can for
God to use. He is looking for God's sheep. He will definitely find those
sheep. This is the selection taught
by the Bible. I would like to ask another
question. Why do I believe that selection
is superior to other facts taught in the Bible? The words of God
have been taught, and that is enough. But I believe there are
other reasons for selection. The reason is very simple. Man
is man, and God is God. This is why I believe in selection. Man will fall, fall and be corrupted,
but he will not come to God. God is supreme, God is omnipotent. He will not let everyone perish. In his name, to find a person
is his joy. If a person falls, dies, falls, loves darkness more than
light, if a person does not come to Christ, if the law cannot
save you, if a person does not know God, if a person is born
against God, then God must perform salvation. God has to make people
willing God has to speed up the pace of giving life Because people
can't, nor can they achieve it themselves They came to Christ
and said, then who can be saved? He said, in man is something
that cannot be achieved This is why I believe in selection
Because salvation is in man is something that cannot be achieved It's impossible. But God can
do anything. I believe in God. Because man
is man. If you fall, you fall. If you
don't turn around, you can't turn around. I believe because
God is omnipotent. If God doesn't fail, if God can
do anything, if God does what He wants to do, as the Bible
says, If God knew from the beginning
that it was over, if he bestowed Christ to the people, if God
wanted his people to be in glory, then the people he sent out to
save the world would be saved. Because God is God, and God is
God. A lady came to me a few days ago. She opposed the grace
of God's sovereignty. She read a chapter of the Bible
and asked, I tried to tell him. He said,
I don't believe. I believe everyone will be saved.
This is God's will. I said, do you really believe? He said, yes, I believe. I said, will everyone be saved? He said, no, people are already
in hell. Then I said, The will of God is not to be
fulfilled. The will of the God you worship
is not to be fulfilled. Jesus used to pray for himself,
saying, The will is to be fulfilled. Every time you pray, you are
praying for this thing. The will is to be fulfilled.
And now you tell me that the will of God is not to be fulfilled. Jesus said, If you ask for anything
in my name, I will fulfill it. We are all confused. Who is God? People are so confused
about this matter. Their God can be put in the box. The people of this generation
have the God of Mickey Mouse. That's right, they also have
the God of Snoopy. That's how Barnard and Dishon
called them before. Their gods have desires and things
they can't do. They have subjective will and
things they can't achieve. They will be disappointed, defeated,
frustrated, and even fall because of people. People's power is
even greater than theirs. This god is not the god in the
Bible. Can I not do things according
to my own will? The god said, he said, get up. xia dao yao jiang li de jia li

18, Verse 1-6. Let's go back to the scripture just now. Thessalonians, Chapter
2, Verse 13. In the Bible, apart from this
scripture, there is no other scripture that makes me believe
in God's redemption. Paul said, My beloved brethren,
we should have thanked God for you, because He has chosen you from the beginning.
I am very happy that I can pass on this message, and I am grateful
for it. I am very happy that I can pass
on this message, and I don't need to explain any further. Beloved brothers and sisters,
we should thank God for you, because He has chosen you from
the beginning, and you can be saved. I want to explain two
things to help us increase our knowledge of this blessing. The
first one, selection is a kind of praise. The meaning of selection
is the meaning of praise. Pharaoh always praises the grace
of God. He praises the grace of God.
He praises the grace of Jesus Christ. Let's take a look at
the first chapter of the Bible and listen to what he says. He said in the Bible, We should
thank God for you, for they have chosen you. Thank God for choosing
you. And in the first chapter of the
book of Ephesians, verse 3, he said, May the Lord be with us,
the father and son of Jesus Christ, who have chosen us in Christ.
Choosing is a kind of praise. To me, the amazing thing is that
people are now full of complaints about how I used to praise God. People now have a lot of complaints
about the meaning of selection, but I thank God for it. They complain about it, and I
am grateful for it. He said, May Songzhan return
to God. Because he selected you, I thank
him for writing you. This is the meaning of praise. In the first chapter of the Bible,
he tells us what God has done for us. He has chosen us to be
happy according to His will. He has appointed us under the
name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. In the sixth chapter
of the Bible, He has praised His glorious grace. Child, if you see your former
situation, your lack of manpower, your helplessness, and God could
have left you alone, He could have abandoned you, but He still
happily selected you. You must praise His grace. The
following chapters of the Bible tell us. Chapter 7, how did Christ
save us with His protection? In the 9th chapter, we learn
about the mystery of his will. In the 11th chapter, we live
in heaven. In the 12th chapter, we are praised
for his glory. When you see the cross, you see how Christ suffered
and died for us. He didn't have to do that. He
said, no one took my life. I gave it to myself. He is also willing to love you
and personally come to this world to save you. He said, if a sheep
is lost, he will leave that ninety-nine sheep and go to the mine to find
that one. Maybe someone has an opinion
in his heart, but if he knows God, he will praise God. Next,
Sister tells us how the Holy Spirit shows us the truth. In the 13th chapter, we received
the mark of the Holy Spirit. Then in the 14th chapter, God
bestowed the Holy Spirit to us as evidence that we obtained
the foundation. Until that foundation came down,
the last sentence of the 14th chapter was, let his glory be
praised. I don't want to hear people say
that the meaning of salvation is the meaning of testimony. To praise God for this, only
ignorant people would say so Only those who don't know who
they are, their situation, how helpless they are, those who
don't know God's mercy and kindness would think so God is not happy
to save fallen angels He ignores them until they are convicted
He said in Hebrews He did not save the angels, but
saved Abraham's descendants. Thank you, Lord. The second one is the meaning
of saving. Let's read it again. Paul said,
My beloved brethren, we should thank God for you. This is the
meaning of love. My beloved Jehovah, God chose people and brought
them back because God loves them. I am here to explain to you that
the 7th chapter of the Book of Life is not because you are cute,
not because you are kind, not because you are talented, not
because you are holy, nor because God needs you. It tells you that
the 7th chapter of the Book of Life, the 7th chapter, says that
Jehovah loves you. to save you, not because you
have more people than others. It turns out that you have the
least number of people in the world, not only because Noah
loves you, but also because he is going to do what you ancestors
did. He is going to lead you out with
the hands of great men, and save you from the hands of the Pharaohs
of Egypt from the house of slaves. Why did he do that? because
He loves you, but you do not love Him. How does John write
this? It is not that we love God, but
God loves us. John chapter 3 verse 1 says,
Look, how much love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we
may be called the children of God. We are indeed His children. John chapter 31 verse 3 says, You have died in the midst of
transgression and sin. In the second parable, you are
in the midst of doing things according to the custom of the
Jin Dynasty. In the third parable, we used
to indulge in the lust of flesh among them. In the fourth parable,
however, God, It's not that I made a decision,
but I changed my mind. But I saw where I was going,
and I saw the green grass on the other side more beautiful.
I heard a great speech again, but that's how we are. But God
is abundant and sensitive, using his great love to love us. Even when we die, He sent Jesus to bring us back
to life. The change came from God, not you. It wasn't,
but what did I do? It was, but God. I was about
to fall into hell. I was about to fall into the
eternal curse. I was on my way to Damascus. But God stopped me because He
loves me. He won't let me go. Oh, it's that kind of love. God
doesn't want me to leave. Looking at the following scriptures,
the meaning of selection is the meaning of prayer. Second, it's
the meaning of love. Third, it's the meaning of eternal
grace. God selected you from the beginning. Now, my friends, I hope you read
the Book of Acts. Chapter 15, Verse 18, The Beginning
of God Can you tell me when the beginning of God began? The Bible
says, The beginning of God is the way, and the way is with
God, and the way is God. Everything is created by God. Isn't this really a long time
ago? A very, very long time ago, God created the world, and God
and has chosen you from the beginning, so that you may be saved. In
Acts 15, verse 18, it says, This is what the Lord has
said since the beginning of creation. This is the time when it happened.
This is the time when God first loved you. This is the time when
God chose you. When there is no sun, moon or
stars When there is no angel walking in the day When there
is no ground When there is no living creature God loves us
and chose us He said, because of me, Yehehua will not change
Yesterday, today and forever will be the same John chapter 6 verse 24 says
Jesus knew from the beginning who didn't believe in him, who
wanted to sell him God's grace is unchanging from the beginning
Let's look at the 2nd chapter verse 43 of the book of Thessalonians
Let's continue to look at it This is the meaning of praise,
this is the meaning of love, this is the meaning of eternal
grace This is also the meaning of atonement. God chose you from
the beginning, and told you to be saved. This short sentence
in the scripture is already very important. To be saved, to be
saved. Now, friends, I want you to understand
this clearly. Choosing is not saving, it is
not teaching to save. Because choosing, people are
not saved. I have not become a man of the
heart. I am not as perfect and perfect as the child of God before
the throne of the King. But because Christ died for him,
because Christ replaced him, because Christ is his Savior,
I am not the one who was chosen to save, but Christ. I was saved
by being chosen. Christ lived for me, died for
me, and I was saved. Because Christ accomplished the
will of God, I was saved. It was not John who accomplished
the will of God, but Christ. Because Christ obeyed the law,
I am the will of God. Because he became a disciple,
I was healed. God chose us in Christ. He said that Christ was made
by him. Christ is the body of God.
Let me ask you, is there anyone
here who wants to become a saint? Is there anyone here who wants
to be reborn? Is there anyone here who wants
to become a saint? Is there anyone here who wants
to surpass everything, like Christ? Is there anyone here who wants
to be set free from sin, and walk with God? Is there anyone
here who wants to live in God, love God, and be Is the Holy Spirit full? Is there
anyone here who wants to be like Christ? Someone said, I don't
want to be a priest. Oh, trust me. You will be chosen. You will be chosen. Anyone who
wants what I just said can get it. I thought you were going
to preach about God choosing people, not going to heaven or
hell. That's not what I want to say. Some people may want me to say
this, but I won't. The Bible says that we are chosen
and become the holy people, far from the curse. He has chosen
us in Christ. We may become the holy people.
We may become unique people. People are chosen to be saved.
People are chosen to enter the holy people. Through this, they
enter heaven. But the people chosen by God
so that they can enjoy the Kingdom of Heaven like the Christians. That is not only happening in
the future. I will continue. Now, while listening,
some people say, I don't want to become a saint. I don't want
to give up this world. I don't want to give up evil.
I don't like worship. I don't like God's presence. I don't like God's words. I don't
like Buddha's voice. because you won't be happy, you
will be in pain. If God wants you to become a
saint, but you don't like it, if he forces you to enter God's
kingdom, you will hate him in the future. There is a Buddhist
saying that if God takes you to heaven, you will get a cart
and a shovel, dig gold and sell it on the street. You will have
angels fighting in the dark, There was a person standing outside
the church, who didn't have a seat left. He said outside the church,
it's too bad. You didn't make the venue a little
bigger. It's a shame. I don't have a
seat. I don't like this pastor. I don't like his voice. I don't
like the people inside. But I think if I were inside,
I would be very sad. But they didn't give me a seat.
It's their fault. This is ridiculous. Look how
stupid it is. The Almighty God will save the
people He wants to save. The Almighty God will redeem
the people He wants to redeem. The Almighty God will make all
those who want to return to the Holy of Holies become holy. The
Almighty God will bring Christ to those who want to return to Christ. That's right. I don't care who
he is. I don't care where he is. I don't
care what skin color he has. I don't care what religion he
is. I'm talking about everyone. I'm not saying that he's going
to take everyone who wants to go to heaven to heaven. I'm saying
that he's going to make everyone who wants to return to the holy
of holies become holy of holies. He's going to make everyone who
wants to become a part of Christ become a part of Christ. He's
going to choose you to be saved. Let's look at the next line.
Selection is the meaning of the Holy Spirit. Now, listen to me.
There are thousands of people who have misunderstood the meaning
of selection. Misunderstanding of selection is the decision
of Christ. Let me quote the words of the
Bible. If someone is in Christ, he is
a man of the heart. If someone does not love the
Lord, this person can be cursed. People who hate their brothers
are liars. The truth is no longer in their
hearts. Now I know that selection is
not perfect and flawless. But you can look at their lives. You can look at the direction
of their thoughts, goals, and preparations. They love God. They love his life. They love
their law. They love their people. They
walk with God in the holy meal. Because God is moved by the saints,
they are saved. They have the life of the saints
because they have the Lord of the saints. Finally, I chose
the meaning of the selection method. You say, you say, God
selects people to be saved. No matter whether you preach
to him or not, he will be saved. No, he will not be saved. Please turn to Romans 10. Romans
10 says, Because he who pleads to the Lord must be saved. But no man has believed him,
how can he plead to him? No man has heard him, how can
he believe him? No man has preached to him, how
can he hear him? From the beginning, I have chosen
you and taught you how to be moved by the Holy Spirit and
become the Holy Spirit and be saved. Believing in the truth,
these two things are very important. The distinction between the Holy
Spirit, the action of the Holy Spirit, and hearing the words
of God are very important. God has chosen us to use people
as a tool to save those people. Do you want the grace of God? Do you have to get it? Do you want to believe in Him? Yes, I do. Then God will make
you willing. You will become a chosen one. Christ is the teaching, Christ
is the healer, Christ is the truth, Christ is the warner,
Christ is the prophet of God. Every word in the Gospel is about
Christ, because Jesus Christ is the whole and the essence
of the Gospel. We have been chosen by God and
destined to be his children. People learn to praise him on
earth, and will praise him in heaven
in the future.
Henry Mahan
About Henry Mahan

Henry T. Mahan was born in Birmingham, Alabama in August 1926. He joined the United States Navy in 1944 and served as a signalman on an L.S.T. in the Pacific during World War II. In 1946, he married his wife Doris, and the Lord blessed them with four children.

At the age of 21, he entered the pastoral ministry and gained broad experience as a pastor, teacher, conference speaker, and evangelist. In 1950, through the preaching of evangelist Rolfe Barnard, God was pleased to establish Henry in sovereign free grace teaching. At that time, he was serving as an assistant pastor at Pollard Baptist Church (off of Blackburn ave.) in Ashland, Kentucky.

In 1955, Thirteenth Street Baptist Church was formed in Ashland, Kentucky, and Henry was called to be its pastor. He faithfully served that congregation for more than 50 years, continuing in the same message throughout his ministry. His preaching was centered on the Lord Jesus Christ and Him crucified, in full accord with the Scriptures. He consistently proclaimed God’s sovereign purpose in salvation and the glory of Christ in redeeming sinners through His blood and righteousness.

Henry T. Mahan also traveled widely, preaching in conferences and churches across the United States and beyond. His ministry was marked by a clear and unwavering emphasis on Christ, not the preacher, but the One preached. Those who heard him recognized that his sermons honored the Savior and exalted the name of the Lord Jesus Christ above all.

Henry T. Mahan served as pastor and teacher of Thirteenth Street Baptist Church in Ashland, Kentucky for over half a century. His life and ministry were devoted to proclaiming the sovereign grace of God and directing sinners to the finished work of Christ. He entered into the presence of the Lord in 2019, leaving behind a lasting testimony to the gospel he faithfully preached.
