Now let's turn in our Bible to
2 Timothy chapter 1 at verse 12. Verse 12, for the which cause? Let's read verse 11 as well.
Whereunto I'm appointed a preacher. Paul was a preacher of the gospel.
God put him in the ministry. a preacher to the Gentiles, preacher
of the gospel of Christ. He was an apostle of Christ,
one who was sent and ordained of God, and he was a teacher. A preacher and a teacher communicated
the gospel. unto the Gentiles, for the which
cause I suffer these things." Remember Paul was writing from
prison. He was beaten many times, many
times he was in prison for the gospel sake, whipped and commanded
not to preach the gospel anymore. For the which cause I suffer
these things, nevertheless I'm not ashamed. Paul said, I'm not
ashamed. Ashamed of Jesus, can it be a
mortal man ashamed of thee? Oh no. And then he says, I know
whom I have believed, trusted, and I'm persuaded that he is
able. God is able. God is able to keep
me and to keep his people. He's able to keep that which
I've committed unto him against that day. What did Paul commit
unto the Lord Jesus Christ? All of his salvation. All of
his salvation is accomplished by Christ. I'm taking the title
for the message from verse 12, and the title is, Our Lord and
Savior is able. He is able. Aren't you persuaded
of that? That God is able. The sinner
saved by God's grace has absolutely no confidence in the flesh. I
don't have any ability, but I have all confidence and assurance
in Christ. He has all power, all ability. We have no confidence in the
flesh, but we have all confidence in Him. God is able. God is able. The Lord Jesus Christ has all
and absolute ability and power to accomplish all of His purpose,
which He purposed from the foundation of the world. He said, I've spoken
it, I've decreed it, I'll bring it to pass. I've purposed it
and I will do it. He worketh all things, all things
at the counsel of His own will. The gospel of God concerning
the Lord Jesus Christ is all about His redeeming His redeeming
mercy, His redeeming grace. Paul called the gospel in 1st
Timothy, the blessed gospel of the glory of God. For it's all
about His glory, His person, His work. His redeeming blood. For as much as you know, we're
not redeemed with corruptible things, but with the precious
blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have given to us in verse
12 a very good definition of what true saving faith is. What
true saving faith is. Now, how important is true saving
faith? Remember Hebrews 11? Without
faith, it is impossible. He didn't say it's difficult.
For without faith it's impossible to please God. For he that cometh
to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of
them that diligently seek him. Four things we see about saving
faith found in verse 12. True saving faith, first of all,
is not ashamed of the gospel. It's not ashamed of the gospel.
You see that? For the which cause I suffer these things, nevertheless,
I'm not ashamed. That's why he writes up here
when he writes to young Timothy in verse 7, For God hath not
given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of
a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed
of the testimony, the testimony of our Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ. True saving faith is not ashamed
of the gospel of Christ. You see, it is the power of God
unto salvation. Remember Paul writing in Romans
chapter 1, he said, I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, it's
the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth, to
the Jew and to the Gentile, for therein is the righteousness
of God revealed from faith to faith. We're not ashamed of the
Lord. Now how important is that? Very
important because true saving faith is not a shame. Find Mark
chapter 8. Mark chapter 8. Remember these
words? Mark chapter 8. Look at verse 34, Mark 8, 34.
And when he called the disciples unto him, when he called the
people unto him with his disciples, he said unto them, whosoever
will come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and
follow me. This is Mark 8, 34. Verse 35,
for whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever
will lose his life for my sake and the gospel the same shall
save it. For what shall it profit a man,
if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall
a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall
be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful
generation of him, also shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when
he cometh in the glory of his Father with his holy angels."
True saving faith is not ashamed of Christ, who he is, what he
has done, why he has done it, and where he is now. Secondly,
about saving faith, first of all, it's not a shame. Secondly,
look at 2 Timothy 1.12 again. Nevertheless, I'm not ashamed,
for I know whom I have believed. I know whom I have believed.
Secondly, true saving faith come from a spiritual knowledge given
of God of who the Lord Jesus Christ is. Saving faith is a
spiritual knowledge of Christ. A spiritual knowledge of Christ
is necessary to saving faith. True faith is not born of lies,
nor the tales of men, nor the lies of men. Sooth-saving faith
is born of God. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing
by the Word of God. Faith, hearing, and the Word,
given of God. The more we know of Him, the
more we trust Him, the more we look to Him. The foundation of
faith is thus saith the Lord. Not my feelings, not my experience,
thus saith the Lord. You cannot trust an unrevealed
and unknown God. True faith is not blind or ignorant. True faith can say, I know whom
I have believed. As He's revealed in the Word
of God, the more we know of Him, as revealed in the Word, the
more we love it. The more we trust Him, the more
we look unto Him. Now, turn one page. Turn one
page. 2 Timothy 3, look at verse 15. And that from a child, he's reminding,
remember Paul talked about Timothy's grandmother Lois, and his mother
Eunice, and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures.
His grandmother and his mother believed and taught him the scriptures. And that has from a child known
the Holy Scriptures which are able to make thee wise unto salvation
through faith which is in the Lord Jesus Christ. All scripture
is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, mature, perfect, truly furnished
unto all good works. So true saving faith is not a
shame. True saving faith knows whom We trust the Lord our God. Thirdly, true saving faith is
persuaded. You see verse 12 again? I know
whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able. What persuasion are you? Well,
I'm persuaded he's able. I'm persuaded that nothing can
separate us from the love of God, which is in the Lord Jesus
Christ. I'm persuaded as Abraham that
all that God has promised, He is able to perform. True saving
faith is confident and fully persuaded in the Savior's willingness,
power, and ability to justify the ungodly. in His willingness
and His power and His ability to save His people. Let me show you two examples
of that. Turn to Matthew chapter 8. Matthew chapter 8. The leper came to the Lord Jesus
Christ and worshipped Him. Matthew chapter 8 verse 1. When
he was come down from the mountain, that is, from a sermon on the
mount, great multitudes followed him, Matthew 8 verse 2. And behold,
there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if you will,
if thou will, you can make me clean. And the Lord put forth
his hand and touched him, saying, I will be thou clean. You see,
he had saving faith. Lord, if you will, you're able
to make me clean. And immediately his leprosy was
cleansed. And one other example, Matthew
9, look at verse 27. Matthew 9, 27. Saving faith is
persuaded that He is able to save to the uttermost. Matthew
9, look at verse 27. When Jesus departed thence, two
blind men followed Him, crying, saying, Thou Son of David, have
mercy on me. And when He was coming to the
house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said unto them,
Believe ye that I am able to do this? And they said unto him, Yes,
Lord. See Abel? Yes, Lord. Then touched
he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus straightly charged
them, saying, That no man knoweth. You see, The Lord said, do you
believe I'm able? True saving faith says yes, without
hesitation. That's not maybe, maybe he could,
maybe not. No, yes Lord I believe you. True
saving faith is persuaded all that God is, all that God has
promised. Now we'll come back to that point
in just a moment because that's the point I believe that's being
denied in this day. I heard Right before my radio
program comes on, WXCC at 8.30, I listen to the last few minutes
of the preacher before me, just so I can make sure that our program
comes on at the right time. But this man, who I, without
hesitation, call a false preacher, a false prophet, he said not
on one, but two occasions, the Lord wants to, but can't. The
Lord is trying, but you won't let Him. Now, his God doesn't
have all ability. I mean, his God that he worships
is a different God that I worship. His God is hamstrung. He can't
do anything unless you let him. That's not the God we worship.
That's not the God I preach. God has all ability and all power,
and I'm persuaded. I'm persuaded. He's able. He's
able to accomplish all of his redeeming purpose. Now here's
the fourth thing of faith. So saving faith is not a shame.
Saving faith has knowledge of who the Savior is. I know whom
I have believed, and I'm persuaded that He is able. He's able to,
and here's the last point, to keep that which I've committed
unto Him against that day. We have committed the whole of
our salvation, I mean the whole of redemption, I mean all of
it, A to Z, Alpha, Omega. We've committed the whole of
our salvation, the whole of our justification unto the Lord Jesus
Christ. We've committed everything to
Him. You've not committed salvation to anything else, have you? No,
it's all in Christ. Christ is all and in all. In
Him was all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and in Christ
we are complete. True saving faith always and
only and exclusively looks to the Lord Jesus Christ for all
of salvation. The whole of it. He is the Almighty
Savior. I love that scripture in Isaiah
63. Let's see if we can find that
and read it. This will be a blessing to you.
Turn over there, Isaiah 63. Who is this, verse 1, that cometh
from Edom, with dyed garments from Basra? this that is glorious
in his apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength,
I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save." Aren't you glad
he's a mighty Savior who cannot fail to save all his people? Therefore mine own arm brought
salvation unto me, and my fury upheld it." Verse 5. You can
look at the rest of those verses. It's a very good and fitting
description of our Lord Jesus Christ. As long as you're trusting
something you've done, you've given, some righteousness you've
brought, you're not fully committing all of your salvation unto Christ.
Saving faith looks to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things.
He's my wisdom. He's my righteousness He's my
sanctification. He is my Redeemer. He is my redemption. He is my righteousness the whole
of it and I'm persuaded I'm persuaded that the Lord Jesus Christ is
able willing to save all of his covenant people. And he has.
He has. Do you remember the story of
the kinsman-redeemer? His name was Boaz. When we went
through the book of Ruth, remember? Boaz is a very good picture and
personal type of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Redeemer.
To be a kinsman-redeemer, one had to be near kin, remember?
One had to be willing to redeem. One had to be able to redeem
as well. Had to be related, had to be
willing, and you had to have the power and ability to redeem.
Boaz had all those and he was willing. He was near kin and
he was able. That is also true of the greater
Boaz, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our kinsman redeemer. He is near kin to us. Bone of
our bone, flesh of our flesh. Without controversy, great is
the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh. He took upon Himself our nature,
our likeness, apart from sin. Yes, He identified with our humanity. He was a real man, near kin,
therefore able to redeem. He's not only near kin, He's
willing to redeem. He came for that purpose. He
said, I didn't come to call the righteous, I came to save sinners.
I come to seek and to save that which is lost. He is the willing
Savior. He said, I came down from heaven
to do thy will. Oh God, aren't you glad he's
willing? He's near kin, he's willing, but not only that, What
was that last one? He has all power. He has all
ability, doesn't he? He has all power and all ability
to save to the uttermost. This is a faithful saying and
worthy of all acceptation that the Lord Jesus Christ came to
save sinners. He's able, able to save. all of His covenant people by
His grace. We can be assured of this Bible
truth, being totally depraved sinners, that we have no ability
to save ourselves, do we? None. None. Or to redeem ourselves,
or to put away our sin. Salvation by our obedience and
works is not even considered. Not according to our works, but
according to His own purpose and grace. He saved us in Christ. before the foundation of the
world. Our Lord said in John 6 44, no man can come to me. No man can, that is no man has
the ability. We have to trust Him to give
us faith to come to Him by faith. Remember the disciples asked
the Lord this question when that young rich man went away seeking
salvation by the deeds of the law. The disciples were perplexed
and they said to the Lord, who then can be saved? If that man
is not a candidate for salvation, who is? Who then can be saved? The Lord said, with men it is
impossible. It is impossible. But not with
God. For with God, thank God, all
things are possible. Anything too hard for the Lord?
No, not at all. So I want us to look at this
phrase today, the Lord is able, and see what the Lord is able
to do. Now, several places I want us to turn. Find, first of all,
Romans chapter four. I'm sure these are familiar to
most of you. Romans chapter four. What is
our Lord able to do? Well, Abraham said this in Romans
four, verse 20. Let's read at verse 19. Being
not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when
he's about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's
womb. God told Abraham and Sarah that
they would have a son. This woman, Sarah, was barren
all her life. Now she's 90 years old. Now,
Todd, think about that. Doris Mahan's 90 years old. Imagine
her having a baby, you would say, Sarah was 90 years old,
Abraham was 100 years old, and God said, you're gonna have a
son, a special son, Isaac. And he staggered not at the promise
of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory
to God, and being fully persuaded that what God had promised, God
is able to perform." See that statement there? God is able
to perform. Therefore it was imputed to him
for righteousness. Now it was not written for his
sake alone that it was imputed to him, but for us also to whom
it shall be imputed if we believe on him. that raised up Jesus
our Lord from the dead, who was delivered for our offenses, and
raised again for our justification. Being fully persuaded, true saving
faith, gives God all the honor and glory, and is fully persuaded,
convinced, that what God has promised, God is able to perform. He's performed all things for
us in salvation. Let's find Psalm 57. Turn over
there. Psalm 57. All that God has promised, God
is able to perform. He promised that He would come
and fulfill the law. Did He do it? Absolutely. Absolutely. The Lord is well pleased for
His righteousness sake. He will magnify the law and honor
it. Turn to Psalm 57. Is that what I told you? Psalm
57. He's able to perform all things
for us. Psalm 57 verse 1, Be merciful
unto me, O God, be merciful unto me, for my soul trusteth in thee. Yea, in the shadow of thy wings
I'll make my refuge until these calamities be overpassed. David
looking to the mercy seat. I will cry unto God most high,
unto God that performeth all things for me. He shall send
from heaven He did, didn't he? Where did the Lord Jesus Christ
come from? I said, I came down from heaven, not to do my own
will, but the will of him that sent me. He shall send from heaven
and save me. Did he? Absolutely. He called
his name Jesus. He shall save his people from
their sin, from the reproach of him that will swallow me up.
God shall send forth his mercy and his truth. The last words
of Joshua, in Joshua 23 verse 14. He said, Of all that God
had promised, not one word shall fail. Our God is able to perform
and to accomplish everything He had promised. He promised
to honor the law of God for us, and the Lord Jesus Christ came
and did that. for us. The Lord Jesus Christ
came and established everlasting righteousness for us. And the
Lord Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God came and performed all
covenant redemption for us as a surety of the everlasting covenant.
He came to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Not with
the blood of bulls and goats, but with His own blood He appeared
once in the end of the age to put away sin by the sacrifice
of Himself. Are you persuaded that He is
able, are you convinced that He is able to perform everything
He has promised? All the promises of God in Him
are yes and in Him, Amen, and to the glory of God by Christ
Jesus. What God has promised, God is
able to perform. Yes, He is. And He has. He cannot fail in all that He
has promised. Now here's the second one I want
us to look at. Turn to Acts chapter 20. Acts
chapter 20. Acts chapter 20, look at verse 28.
These are the last words of the Apostle Paul before he's arrested
and taken to Rome. And there he dies for the gospel. In Acts 20 verse 28, take heed
therefore unto yourselves and all the flock over which the
Holy Ghost hath made you overseer, feed the church of God which
he purchased with his own blood. With this I know, I know this,
that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among
you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall
men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw disciples after
them. And they did that in Paul's day, read the letter to the Galatians. Therefore watch and remember
that space of three years I cease not to warn every one night and
day with tears. preaching the gospel. And now,
brethren, I commend you to God and to the Word of His grace,
which is able to build you up. The Word of His grace is able
to build you up and to give you an inheritance among all them
that are sanctified. The Word of God is able to build
us up, not puff us up, Build us up. You see, He knocks us
down and then He builds us up upon the foundation, Christ Jesus. In Daniel chapter 4, God taught
Nebuchadnezzar this lesson, those that walk in pride, God is able
to abase. The Lord knocks out the foundation
of our works, self-righteousness, and establishes upon the true
foundation. He builds us up upon the true
foundation, which is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Turn to
Colossians chapter 2. God said, behold, I lay in Zion
for foundation of stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone.
He that believes on him shall not be ashamed, not be forced
out, shall not be confounded. Colossians chapter two, verse
six. As you have therefore received
Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him, rooted and built up
in him. rooted and grounded in Christ,
established in the faith as you've been taught, abounding therein
with thanksgiving. By the word of His grace, He's
able to build you up upon Christ, that foundation. Now turn to
1 Peter chapter 2. 1 Peter chapter 2. Aren't you glad that He has established
a foundation upon which He causes us to rest? Christ, the Rock
of Ages, 1st Peter chapter 2 look at verse 3 If so be you tasted
that the Lord is gracious as newborn babe desire the sincere
milk of the word that you may grow thereby to whom coming as
Into a living stone disallowed indeed of man, but chosen of
God and precious precious living stone you also as living stones
are build up and The Word of His Grace is able to build you
up upon the foundation that God has laid. You also, as living
stones, are built up as spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to
offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained
in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a cheap cornerstone,
elect and precious. He that believeth on him shall
not be confounded. He's able to build us up. and
to you therefore which believe, he is precious." Precious. God is able to make all grace
abound toward you. God is able. He's able. Now let's find another
scripture. Find Ephesians, the book of Ephesians
chapter 3. Look at verse 14. Ephesians 3 verse 14. God is
able to do all. above everything we
think or even ask. Ephesians 3, look at verse 14.
For this cause, I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ. For this cause, the cause of
God and truth, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is
named, that he would grant you according to his riches, the
riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the
inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, being
rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with
all the saints what is the breadth, length, and depth, and height,
and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that
ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. For unto him,
now unto him that is able, to do exceeding abundantly above
all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in
us unto him be glory in the church by Jesus Christ throughout all
ages world without end. He's able to do exceeding abundantly
above all that we ask or think, even think. Our blessed Savior
is able to do all things above all that we ask or all that we
think according to that power that works in us. Now, you know
what he's talking about there? He's talking about faith. Faith. Faith that works in us. God who
has begun a good work in you will perform it. You see, we
believe the gospel only according to His power. Turn back one page. Ephesians chapter 1. According
to the power that worketh in us, God is able. You see, face
the gift of God. We believe according to the working
of His mighty power. Ephesians 1. Look at verse 17,
that God, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what is
originally the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is exceeding
greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the
working of His mighty power. You see, faith is a gift of God. Faith is the work of God. Faith
is given of God to us. And what kind of power is He
talking about? Which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him
from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in a heavenly
place. We're talking about the power of God. He's able to do
Exceeding abundantly above all do we ask or think according
to the power that works in us and it's Christ in you That is
a hope of glory Faith is a gift of God faith is a work of God
Let me show you that let's see if we can find that John chapter
6 John chapter 6. Faith is a gift of God, not of
work that any man should boast. But look over here at John chapter
6. Look at verse 28. Then said they unto him, John
6, 28, What shall we do that we might work the works of God?
They wanted to do some miracles. And the Lord said unto them,
This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath
sent. You see, He works faith in us
by giving us life in Christ through the word of truth. Saving faith
always looks unto the Lord Jesus Christ. He's able to do of all
we ask or think. You know, we should ask big things.
Our God's a big God. Anything too hard for Him? Not
at all. Not at all. Now find Philippians
chapter 3. Philippians chapter 3. He is able to do above all we
ask or think. He's able to subdue all things
unto himself. Philippians chapter 3. For our
conversation is in heaven, that is our citizenship, from whence
also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus, who shall change
our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious
body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue
all things unto himself. We are more than conquerors through
him that loved us. He is able to subdue all things. As the absolute sovereign Lord,
he has absolute authority over all things. You remember the
old king who walked in pride, Nebuchadnezzar? When God taught
him who God really is, he said, Our God doeth according to his
will in the army of heaven, among the habitants of this earth,
and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, Lord God Almighty,
what doest thou? Our God is able to subdue all
things unto himself, because he has all authority over all
things. Whatsoever he pleases, that's
what our God does in heaven, earth, and in the seas, in all
places. In Psalm 115, the heathen came
and asked David, David, where is your God? Remember what he
said? Our God is in the heavens. He has done whatsoever he has
pleased. He's able to subdue all things,
control all things unto himself. All things in creation, created
by the Word of His power. All things in providence, of
Him and through Him and to Him are all things. All things in
salvation. Who's in charge in salvation?
He's a God of salvation. He'll have mercy on whom He will.
He'll have compassion on whom He will. He's able to subdue
all things unto Himself. He is able, but there's more. Much more. Turn over to Hebrews
7. Hebrews 7. I've got this one and just one
other, so I won't wear you out here. Hebrews chapter 7. We quote this verse all the time
too, don't we? Hebrews chapter 7, verse 22. Hebrews 7, 22. By so much would Jesus made a
surety of a better covenant surety, the Better Testament. They were truly, truly many priests,
Old Testament priests, because they were not suffered to continue
by reason of death, but this man, speaking of the God-man
mediator, The Lord Jesus, because He continues ever, has an unchangeable
priesthood. Wherefore He is able to save
them, given to Him in that covenant, save them, those covenant people,
to the uttermost or forevermore that come to God by Him. He's the door. He said, by me,
if any man enter in, he shall be saved. We come to God through
him and by him, because of him, seeing that he ever liveth to
make intercession for us. He's the ever-living Lord. For
such a high priest became us, who was holy, harmless, undefiled,
separate from sin, made higher than the heavens, able to save
to the uttermost. What do sinners need? Salvation. They need the Savior who is Almighty
to save. You remember the Lord prayed
in John 17, Father you've given me power over all flesh that
I should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given to
me. Aren't you glad He has all power
to save such a sinner as me? If God saved this sinner, He
can save any sinner. Because it took great power to
conquer me. But He can subdue all things.
He's the Almighty Lord. He's able to save. He cannot
fail. He actually justified them when He died for them at the
cross. God committed His love toward us, and while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us. He's able to save them. Never despair. I like what John
Newton told that old preacher, William Jay. You remember the
story? William Jay and John Newton,
this is way back in the early 1700s. William Jay heard of an
old notorious sinner down in Bath County that was converted
and saved. And he went and told John Newton,
said, John Newton, I'll never despair of God ever saving a
sinner again. And old John Newton said, I've
never despaired of that since God saved me. God saved me, saved
you. He's able to save to the uttermost
all that come to God by Him. Now here's the last one. Over
near the Revelation there, you find Revelation chapter 1, but
right before that is the book of Jude. So Jude, this one chapter,
look at verse 24. Now, God saved us by His grace. Is He able to keep us? What if
we're saved today and lost tomorrow? Well, that's pretty shaky, isn't
it? That's not salvation at all.
The salvation that we read of in the Word of God, He saves
His people with an everlasting salvation. He gives unto them
eternal life and they shall never perish. We're kept by the power
of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed. Now, Jude
chapter 1 verse 24, Now unto him that is able. Oh, he's able. He's able to keep you from falling. Now, I can't keep myself, and
you can't either, but we're kept by the power of God. He's able
to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before
the presence of His glory, and He does it with exceeding joy.
He's not ashamed to call us brethren. Remember from Hebrew chapter
two? He's not ashamed. We're not ashamed of Him. He's
not ashamed of us. He presents us before the Father faultless Without spot or without
blemish in his sight With exceeding joy now who gets the glory? Who gets the glory look verse
25? To the only wise God our Savior be glory majesty dominion
and power both now and forever now Is a God you worship? like the God of Daniel? Oh, our
God's able. He's able to deliver. He's able. The Lord saved with an everlasting
salvation, redeemed with eternal redemption, regenerates us with
His eternal purpose to make us just like Christ. Now, aren't
you glad that we worship and adore such a great God and Savior
as the Lord Jesus Christ, who is able, has all power, all authority, I'm persuaded. I know whom I
have believed and I'm persuaded that He is able to keep that
which I've committed unto Him against that day. That'll give
you peace in your heart knowing that He is able. I have no ability.
He has all ability.
