Oh be thankful for God's sovereign grace,
He reveals Christ took the sinner's place,
On Calvary's cross to redeem from sin,
Each His Heavenly Father gave to Him.
God gave Moses His law, wrote it on stone,
But there are none can obey it on their own.
There is only one who fulfilled its demand;
He is now seated at His Father's right hand.
His blessed Spirit opens the sinner's heart;
Gives them faith in which they have no part,
For they were dead in sin with no concern;
Now they have life and look for His return.
This One, who gives life and every breath,
Has ascended to His Father after His death.
He will surely intercede there for each one,
That God the Father gave to God the Son.
