Can a person be saved but not have full assurance?

Answered in 1 source

Yes, a person can be saved and yet not experience full assurance of their salvation.

It is possible for individuals to be genuinely saved without enjoying complete assurance of their salvation. This lack of assurance often arises not from a deficiency in Christ's saving work but rather from a person's perceptions and feelings. Assurance is not dependent on the strength of one's faith but rather on the object of faith—Jesus Christ. For instance, a believer may have a weak or trembling faith yet still be secure in Christ's grip. The Christian's assurance fluctuates based on their focus—if one looks inward, doubt may arise, but looking to Christ infuses strength and confidence.
