Can a true believer commit apostasy?

Answered in 1 source

A true believer, secured by God’s grace, cannot ultimately commit apostasy, though they may experience doubts and struggles.

While the author of Hebrews warns about the dangers of apostasy, it is essential to understand that a true believer, genuinely saved and sealed by the Holy Spirit, is kept by God. The warnings of apostasy serve to encourage introspection and vigilance among believers, ensuring they remain steadfast in their faith and do not drift away. True believers may struggle and experience doubts, but their salvation is secure in Christ, and they will ultimately persevere to the end.
