Do I have any role in reconciliation with God?

Answered in 1 source

Your role is to believe in Christ for reconciliation; it is not based on your works or efforts.

In the context of reconciliation, a believer's role is rooted in faith, not works. Colossians 1:23 indicates that if one continues in the faith, they will experience the reality of that reconciliation. This faith is evidence of God's work in the individual, showing that they are kept by God's power throughout their spiritual journey. While believers are called to respond in faith, it is ultimately God's initiative and action through Christ that brings about reconciliation; thus, it is a matter of grace rather than human effort.
