Does God hear the prayers of those who don't know Christ?

Answered in 1 source

God hears the prayers of those who seek Him with a sincere heart, even if they do not yet know Christ.

In the case of Cornelius, as described in Acts 10, we see that God heard his prayers despite him not yet knowing Jesus. Cornelius was described as a devout man who feared God and prayed continually. Although he had not yet believed in Christ, his heart’s sincerity and devotion brought him to God’s attention. It is not the mere act of prayer that is significant but the disposition of the heart. As seen in 1 Timothy 2:5, while Christ is our mediator, those like Cornelius can still have their efforts recognized as they seek God. Ultimately, his prayers were heard because God, in His sovereignty, intended to reveal the gospel to him soon.
