How are believers assured of their salvation?

Answered in 2 sources

Believers are assured of their salvation through their union with Christ and the guarantee of the Holy Spirit.

Assurance of salvation for believers is rooted in the unchanging promise of God and the work of Christ on their behalf. Through faith, we are united with Christ, who has fully accomplished our redemption. The Holy Spirit bears witness to our spirits, confirming our status as children of God. This assurance is not based on our feelings or works but on the faithfulness of God's promises in Scripture. Because of this, believers can approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing they belong to God.
