How are we redeemed in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

We are redeemed in Christ through His sacrificial death, which paid the ransom for our sins.

Redemption in Christ refers to the act of being bought back from slavery to sin through Christ's atoning sacrifice. As expressed in Romans 3:24, we are justified freely by His grace through redemption that is in Christ Jesus. This concept carries the idea that we were in bondage to sin and needed a ransom to be set free. Christ's blood, shed on the cross, was the price paid to release us from our condemnation and guilt. Because of this, we are no longer enslaved, but instead, we are made new creations with the power to live righteously.
