How can a sinner stand before God as good as God?

Answered in 1 source

Sinners stand before God as good as God through the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Sinners can only stand before God, holy as He is holy, through the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ. As 2 Corinthians 5:21 states, 'For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.' It is not by our works but by Christ’s perfect obedience and sacrifice that we are deemed righteous. When we trust in His finished work, we are clothed in His righteousness, making us acceptable to God. This theological reality highlights God's grace and the centrality of Christ in our redemption.
