How can barriers to eternal life be overcome?

The barriers that prevent us from attaining eternal life are deep-rooted and cannot be surmounted by human effort alone. As outlined in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, it is through the mighty power of God that strongholds of misunderstanding and spiritual ignorance are torn down. The essence of sovereign grace emphasizes that unless God acts to break down our walls of resistance, we will remain in our spiritual deadness. Therefore, it is crucial for believers to seek God's mercy and for God to act in grace to remove these barriers for us to receive eternal life.
