How can Christians avoid worldliness?

Answered in 1 source

Christians can avoid worldliness by keeping their focus on Christ and seeking treasures in heaven.

Jesus warns in Matthew 6:19-21 against laying up treasures on earth, which can lead to worldliness and distraction from spiritual priorities. Instead, believers are called to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. By intentionally orienting our desires and aspirations towards heavenly treasures, we safeguard our hearts from the deceitfulness of worldly values. A constant reminder to look up and evaluate our priorities in light of eternity can help maintain a clear distinction between the secular and the sacred, leading us to live lives that glorify God.
