How can Christians cultivate the fruit of righteousness?

Answered in 1 source

Christians can cultivate the fruit of righteousness by abiding in Christ and pursuing a relationship with Him (John 15:4).

According to John 15:4, Jesus declares that to bear fruit, one must abide in Him, emphasizing the necessity of an ongoing, intimate relationship with Him. This means seeking daily communion through prayer, scripture reading, and obedience to His commands. As we draw closer to Christ, His character and teachings begin to influence our thoughts, actions, and attitudes, enabling us to naturally produce the fruit of righteousness. Furthermore, it is important to remember that this fruit comes as a result of the Holy Spirit's work within us, so as we rely on His strength and guidance, we grow more like Christ, producing good works and righteousness in our lives.
