How can Christians find peace in their struggles with sin?

Answered in 1 source

Christians find peace by trusting in Christ's righteousness and recognizing their identity in Him.

Peace for Christians amidst struggles with sin is found through understanding and appropriating Christ's righteousness. The believer's position before God is not based on personal merit but on the perfect righteousness of Christ that has been credited to them. Romans 5:1 states, 'Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God.' This peace comes from knowing that our sins are forgiven and that we are made righteous in Him. Despite the ongoing struggle with sin in this life, it is this assurance of being united with Christ that ultimately grants us the peace that surpasses understanding, enabling us to endure the battles we face each day.
