How can Christians resist the influence of the world?

Resisting the influence of the world requires intentionality and reliance on God's strength. The Apostle Peter exemplified this as he was filled with the Holy Spirit, which enabled him to boldly proclaim the Gospel despite opposition. By continually praying and seeking God's guidance, as Jesus taught us to do, we fortify ourselves against the temptations and distractions that the world presents. Moreover, associating with fellow Christians serves as a form of protection and encouragement, whereby mutual support helps us stay focused on God's will, instead of succumbing to the enticements of worldly desires.
