How can comfort from God help us comfort others?

Answered in 1 source

The comfort we receive from God empowers us to comfort others in their troubles (2 Corinthians 1:4).

The Scriptures clearly indicate that the comfort we receive from God serves a dual purpose. As stated in 2 Corinthians 1:4, God comforts us in our tribulations so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble. This reflection of divine comfort highlights a communal aspect of our faith; as we experience God’s grace and consolation during our struggles, we become equipped to support others undergoing similar challenges. Our personal trials and the subsequent comfort we receive from the Holy Spirit become powerful testimonies that not only bolster our faith but also serve as instruments for empowering and uplifting others within the body of Christ.
