How can fears drive us to seek a deeper relationship with Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Fears can lead us to seek Christ more earnestly and develop a profound relationship with Him.

Fears have the capacity to drive a believer towards a more intimate relationship with Christ. As noted in the sermon, recognizing our own frailty and the nature of sin awakens within us a desire to know Christ as our Savior more deeply. For instance, when Peter initially feared upon realizing the divine power of Jesus, he was in a position to appreciate the grace extended to him. Later, as his relationship with Christ matured, his fear transformed into eager anticipation of Christ’s coming. Ultimately, the depth of our fears can serve as a catalyst for deeper understanding and reliance upon Christ, leading us into a more profound relationship with Him.
