How can humility be cultivated in a Christian's life?

Answered in 1 source

Humility can be cultivated by recognizing our dependence on God's grace and serving others.

Cultivating humility begins with an accurate understanding of ourselves in relation to God. Job's confession in Job 42:6 exemplifies this approach. By acknowledging our inherent sinfulness and inability to achieve righteousness apart from Christ, we begin to foster humility. Additionally, engaging in acts of service, as illustrated in Philippians 2:3-4, helps Christians to esteem others above themselves. Such actions not only demonstrate humility but also reinforce our reliance on God's grace in all we do. Embracing trials with a submissive spirit (James 1:2-4) and being willing to receive counsel and correction from others also contribute to the development of true humility in our lives as believers.
