How can I be assured of salvation?

Answered in 2 sources

Assurance of salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and the recognition of His work on our behalf.

Christians can be assured of their salvation by placing their trust fully in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. John 3:36 states that 'whoever believes in the Son has eternal life', emphasizing the importance of personal faith in Christ as the means of securing salvation. Furthermore, Romans 10:9-10 highlights that confessing with our mouth and believing in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead leads to righteousness and salvation. Ultimately, true assurance arises from knowing that our salvation is not based on our merit but on God's sovereign grace, as expressed in Ephesians 2:8-9: 'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God'.
