How can I be considered righteous in God's eyes?

Answered in 1 source

You are considered righteous in God's eyes through the new birth by the Holy Spirit and the imputed righteousness of Christ (John 3:3).

In order to be considered righteous in God's eyes, one must experience the new birth as taught in John 3:3, where Jesus states, 'Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' This spiritual transformation is the work of the Holy Spirit, providing a new heart and a new nature that inclines us towards God. Additionally, our righteousness is grounded in Christ's obedience and sacrifice. Romans 3:22 explains, 'Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe.' Therefore, it is not through our works but through faith in Christ that we are justified and counted as righteous before God.
