How can I be made clean before God?

Answered in 1 source

You can only be made clean before God through Jesus Christ's work of salvation.

The process of being made clean before God is fundamentally rooted in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Just as the leper in Matthew 8 approached Christ with the recognition of his inability to cleanse himself, individuals must come to Christ in faith, acknowledging their sinfulness and need for His mercy. The Bible teaches that salvation comes through faith in Jesus alone, who purifies the believer from all sin (1 John 1:7). The act of justification, whereby we are declared righteous before God, is solely the result of Christ's atoning sacrifice. Therefore, true cleansing comes not from human effort but from accepting Christ’s authority and ability to save.
